Skulls - Skulls will automatically be selected when you select the Halo: CE LASO playlist. They are as follows: Black Eye, Boom, Eye Patch, Famine, Fog, Foreign, Grunt Birthday Party, Grunt Funeral, Iron, Malfunction, Mythic, and Recession.

Took me a 2 hour failure and a 4 hour success, keep trying!
Lmao I got reset once during the grav lift room and once during the grenade jump. Probably took me around 5 hours of cumulative play. By the third separate run, I was a master at the gameplay before the lift. But the grav lift room was absolute hell on earth. It's very much a matter of RNG. Take a break now and again, have a beer or a cup of coffee. Don't get too stressed. That's when you'll fail over and over again. That part is a bit like bashing your head against a brick wall over and over again haha, but best of luck to you and happy LASOing!
Thanks guys, I haven't made it past the gravity lift room yet. The only hard part is being able to kill all of the enemies with my limited sniper ammo and grenades. However, I've gotten some pretty insane kill combos during my attempts. I chucked a grenade into a large crowd and ended up killing like half of the enemies in the room due to the chain reaction of grunt plasma grenade explosions. It's also pretty fun to discover all of the techniques for handling the yellow sword elites. I've found out that you can group them together and make like 2-3 of them charge you at once, then you can chuck a frag grenade and finish them off with your assault rifle and sniper.
@@spooks188 each box of sniper rifle ammo on the ground can give you up to 16 rounds, but it will let you pick it up no matter what. So if you were to be empty in sniper ammo, and pick up both boxes, you'll get 24, but if you pick up one, you'll get 16, and you can back track when you need it to get another 16, instead of getting both and losing some. If you were to have 20 rounds and picked up a box, you would get 4 instead of 16, and throw the rest away
@@eddiehanley4258 I'm well aware of this, Silver explained it earlier in his T&R LASO video. Problem is though, I entered The Truth and Reconciliation with full ammo, and I don't know where I can find more of it for the first room.
One thing I always love about videos like this is that the viewer counts get lower and lower, presumably because people struggle to get this far. Keep it up man! It's a joy following your videos and interacting with people in the comments! Keep the vids comin'!
This level ended in a super weird way for me, I died as the level ended. Like the screen was starting to go white as I fell over dead, but I reflexively hit save/quit. When I loaded back in I was just at the post-game screen. Doesn't seem to have messed with anything though, I'm still at 6/10 on the playlist. Thanks for the guide, silver!

A tip to make it a little easier for people when using the magnum - flood combat forms go down in one shot if you hit the chest where the infection form is. The infection form that infects the body sits in the chest cavity and acts as the flood equivalent of a brain as this is what is controlling the body rather than the head like with usual enemies. So for combat forms a "headshot" is actually a shot to the chest rather than the head. Shoot where the feeler tentacles come out from

It's not shown in this video, but if you are fast enough, you can see where the bullets are coming from. You probably know this but I bet other's don't.

I've already drastically improved those strats. The first room is now easier and the other 2 hardest sections (Prison and Mausoleum) are totally skippable now :D

Excellent guide. I got lucky at the end and managed to get to the final hiding spot without being seen, just waited it out for about 40 seconds.

I found at the end where you hid you can just attract a combat form to that corner and keep punching them until the end of the level. Works like a charm

Thank you. if you are playing with 2 controllers your 2nd controller character will be attacked in 3 places, at the first elevator and if you act quickly and kill a grunts and started the chain explosions thats will do it.The second place after the small forms cutscene you can eather grenadejump your 2nd controller to the second floor or lock it in one of the samll rooms and camp on the door to protect it, the third place at the 2nd elevator it is a bit harder if you act fast and throw your greands fast thats will do it.
The save and quit glitch removes the need for 2 controllers.
Ended up doing it in 11:56. Just kept going left at the end and the cutscene triggered
Okay something really weird happened, I threw a plasma grenade when the infected combat forms appearead. Am I SUPPOSED to have plasma grenades on this mission by default? Really freaked me out when I threw a grenade and it was plasma cause I didnt have grenade display.
Made me worry that I somehow wasnt playing on LASO playlist anymore lol

Anyone still using this guide, a tip about the flood rebirthers or whatever. The ones that get back up, you can tell if you have scoring turned on. The game won't give you points for ones that die but will get back up.

Took me and my friend about 40 minutes to do this mission. Mostly because he was stubborn and wouldn't watch this video, so we ended up resetting way more often than we needed to haha
i wouldn't even bother doing this with someone intentionally making it more difficult for no reason other than laziness
Just like with the banshee grab in the previous mission, this second time doing laso I was able to pull off a trick with ease that took me ages to do during my last laso run... 6/46

Weird question. Are you supposed to have plasma grenades on this mission? When I threw grenades at the combat forms in the doorway, they were plasma grenades. But one of the skulls is supposed to disable use of covenant equipment. I hope I didnt break the game...
You cant pick em up, but some missions you start with some, including this one.
I had full shield and a shotgun flood hit me from the across that last bridge and it killed me. Dear god I'm scared for the next mission if that's the norm

So there's no major skips used at all in this video and its still this short? I thought i remembered 343 taking much longer even normally. Guess when you know where to go, it becomes a ton quicker. Thanks again, I'm hyped for the Library and Two betrayals to ruin everything.
Yeah it's pretty quick to run straight through. The first few times you play this level it takes a lot longer though just because you don't know where you're going and need to fight everyone. There is a glitch to skip part of this mission but it's pretty tough and doesn't skip too much of the level or any difficult sections so it's not worth it. Only really useful for attempting world record speedruns.
@@HaloCompletionist A friend and I tried that one (the second floor clip, I'm assuming) for about an hour and a half, and only one of us got up, then fell at the jump under the window. Really not worth the time invested, not even on LASO.
Hey Silver, i really hope you have a guide for the achievement Back in the day for the pc version, I really need help xd and also your guides are really helpful thanks!
They updated this so all you need to do to unlock it on PC is play a custom game on Blood Gulch with 4 players total. No need for splitscreen or LAN anymore. If you need help finding 3 others to do it with you, I'd recommend hoping into the HC Discord. It's a Halo achievement hunting community so you should be able to find some people who are willing to help in there :)

I found some weird glitch on the laso playlist that allows me to carry plasma grenades. This happen to anyone else?
Some missions you spawn with them, but you cant pick any others up.

If you get killed as the cut scene starts, your progress will reset unless you save quit.
I found out.
For some reason I'm using covenant grenades.

How did you throw a plasma at the end on LASO?
You spawn with 4 plasma nades at the start for this mission. You can use those 4, but can't pick up any others, so I save them for the end to take out the sentinels faster. Same in Two Betrayals.
How did you get plasma grenades
why does this mission give you plasma grenades? foreign is supposed to disable that, i didnt get any frags when i started this mission, only 4 plasma nades
It disables you from picking up plasma nades, but since you spawn in with them in this mission you get to use em.
I spawned with plasma grenades while doing this level in the LASO playlist, is that normal?

He explained it at the end as well as in the comments... Some missions give you 4 plasmas at the beginning.

Why doesn't he do the runs on Anniversary graphics? It's kinda hard to see on the original graphics. Even more so on RUclips and to add to that, my phone isn't very bright.
It's because the anniversary graphics sometimes don't line up with the original geometry of the levels, meaning some parts of the level can block shots because you can see through but in actuality there's still a wall there.
Plus the original graphics are much cleaner, and there's a lot less visual noise (foliage etc) which can distract or block lines of sight..!

Fair point but at maybe try swapping every now and then? Maybe when it's absolutely needed for precision or something , hop back to the original graphics. But when you're on a long walk or drive, use the newer graphics? I'm just saying, would keep it a bit more entertaining. Lol.
Would help with some people's attention span too. Hehe. Or maybe could help you point something out like a wall that you need to line up with is bland and just dark, but in the anniversary graphics, the wall is far more obvious. Stuff like that. :)
Just giving reasons to swap forward and back. Don't have to stay in original only. Lol.
@@benjaminrobledo5466 Silver's old guides use the Anniversary graphics quite a bit, and he very often points out where the geometry between the original and Anniversary graphics don't line up :^)
