I’m looking to connect a jp8000 and an access virus to an interface at same time to use in my daw. Can this be done with the new 4i4 from the back ports? Thanks.
Important: They move more controlling into SW, but I just found they discontinued their iOS app... Well my iPad is perfectly yOK for music for me (unlike video cutting, for that one full MacBook is a must - again - for me)...
did you use some kind of intelligent background music dim? Cause it is a bit strange, as sometimes when you are not talking, the audio raise up, then immediately dim, also the audio between every section is a bit too loud while time is not long.
Hey from Dublin. Cool review man, thanks for sharing. I’ve subscribed to your cool channel A question if I may ask. I record Bass Guitar covers. Would it possible to plug this 4th Gen Scarlett directly into my iPhone 12 Pro Max (and thus negate the need for me going through a DAW on my laptop). Cheers. Niall 🎸
Hi Niall, thanks for the comments. My full review of this interface is a couple of videos back. Yes, you absolutely can record directly to your phone. You’ll need a USB-C to lighting cable (interface to phone) and a USB-C charger to power the interface (5v socket).
@@EdThorne Hey Ed. Greetings from Dublin So, I got my new 212 4th Gen today and I bought a USB-C power cable/plug and that’s giving it power ✅ I’ve connected the 212 from the rear of the Scarlett with a USB-C to lighting cable to my iPhone ✅. I’ve connected my headphones and can clearly hear a good bass guitar signal ✅ Now, my question is how do I “record” that bass signal onto my iPhone?? I tried hitting “record” on my video / camera roll on my iPhone but it’s not capturing the bass sound (it does capture the “room” sound of me acoustically striking the strings but not the deep bass guitar sound that I can hear in my ears on my headphones ) Is there an “App” that I could use on my iPhone that could record my bass signal audio? Cheers Niall 🎸
@@EdThorne Thanks Ed. I tried GarageBand App on my iPhone but I don’t think it will work as it does not give an input 1 or input 2 option, whereas I think those options are available on the GarageBand App on an iPad
before i bought it i also did not know it loses sound output every 10 minutes. 1/10 The 1 is for the nice brushed metal, unfortunately the device itself is very very bad. apart from it crashing all the time it also gives static over the monitor boxes. It's the first time i tried the focusrite and i can see why the price is so low. what i dont understand is that people keep buying this interface, maybe they have a mac. on windows this interface is a complete disaster.

A mute or back and forth switch button for headphones and speakers would be great, somewhat like the iD14 mk2

Hahaha. We’ll see. Video at some point, tons of people are asking.
Not anymore bro the scarlett gen4 dethrone it with its rednet converters and preamps

@niallsbasstones9713 I believe what Focusrite refer to as iOS recording is recording to DAW applications.

If only they’d make the mobile apps to control things!
Great shout.
Hi
Can you suggest me good audio interface for EDM and Trance equipped home studio..? Btw 300 to 600 dollars the best one.
I think you might be looking at one here.
when does the 18i20 come out?
I can’t say. A) because I’m under NDA and B) because they haven’t told me 🤣
@@EdThorne 🤣
any news on a Gen 4 8i20?
If I knew I couldn’t tell you anyway. I suspect before the end of the year though.
Most people outside USA can speak at least two languages. So most can understand english :D
What’s the relevance of this comment?
I saw it in person nobody in youtube reviews mentions it is not well built. Cheap interface
I’ve used it in person. They’re built well for the money. What do you expect for £180?
audient or fluid audio are well built for that price @@EdThorne
I don’t know Fluid Audio, I’ll check them out. Cheers for the heads up. Definitely can’t go wrong with Audient! Great brand!
