I think it's both. Cinq is about precision and focus. South is about declaring duels while West is apparently about focusing down specific parts across multiple people.

I doubt PM will screw up his rolls since they didn't do that in a while. I think it'll come down to the payoff, how much count he inflicts, how much defense he gains, his guard numbers, infliction cap, e.t.c. But generally he has a lot of potential due to having gloom(tremor is 1 unit short on gloom rn due to Zwei Ish not having it)
ALSO let's not forget Meursault isn't just going to walk up and kill the enemies, he's gonna do it on Twitch because he's livestreaming this duel according to his passive.

Zwei is really getting a glow up the initial Zwei ids were underwhelming or bad. Then Zwei Faust and Gregor appeared and now Zwei Ishmael and Sinclair which has redeemed Zwei and make an all Zwei team viable especially if you leave out the weaker units.
I think a good name for Cinq Mersault and Deyvat Rodya's role in Rupture teams could be a "detonator" they cant build it up well, but once you jave it, they can use it extremely well

Focused Attack =/= Declared Duel, please remember that this is a very pen-and-paper / literalistic feeling game, which is to say that precise wording actually means things. There's a reason we have Base Power and Final Power and Attack Power and Clash Power, all of which do something slightly different: That granularity matters!
If anything this makes talisman sinc more mandotory if future rupture ids follow this design you aren't gaining more value off rupture if the enemy is at their threshold

His talisman buff ignores the “skills do not apply potency” conditional on their kits allowing them to be potency positive and count neutral as long as you have 4 gluttony res. You can now get the same effects without the 20+ restarts every battle

I do wonder if he'll do better in a poise comp rather than a rupture comp, considering hes gonna roll insanely fucking high and has good synergy with the other Cinq IDs

I can bench oufi now, switching out lccb for west zwei somehow was not healthy for maintaining count for me at all
