That is the question,
the beautiful question…

“God uses broken people like you and me to heal broken people like you and me”. Mind blowing episode.
I love Jack Kornfield, he is awesome, I love listening to him.
Loving Kindness is THE key!! I do it for like 10 minutes at least once a day. Changed my life more than anything!!
Another great conversation, thanks to Tim and Jack.
You asked some incredibly salient questions Tim, and the quality of your guests is outstanding.
Damn this truly deserves more likes
Fantastic episode!
excellent and don't miss the extra loving kindness meditation at the very end
Thank you. ❤ What a beautiful conversation and loving kindness meditation 🙏 To hear these ancient teachings told so very simply is such a gift. His story of living in the forest during the war in Vietnam and Cambodia and his receiving these teachings resonate now all the more as war is raging everywhere. Thank you ❤
Thanks so much for this. Really gives a broad look at all of the great things Jack has given us over the years. It also gives some great hands on understanding of the best ways to see and practice metta.

It's both sad and amazing to me that Jack is one of the biggest names in Western Buddhism and even he doesn't understand or share the teachings of the Buddha. Teaching that you are consciousness, you are the one that does the witnessing, is not Buddhism. And it's easy to see that this is not the truth. If you were consciousness, what happens every night when you go to sleep and experience dreamless sleep, where the body is still functioning but there is no awareness? Even consciousness is impermanent and the teaching of the Buddha is that there is no self. There is no one.
how is consciousness impermanent? How do you know this?
@@cathithomas2888 if you reread my comment, I give a clear example.
Where does the Buddha say there is no self?
Why do you get to destroy my life?
Way too much advertising and talking by Ferriss.
Skip to around 8:10 to bypass the introduction and listen to Jack.
