I think both Robinson and Ruth would absolutely dominate. Baseball is different than many other sports in that the fundamental skill is arm-flinging speed (for both hitting and batting), that is, the same athletic ability that makes a boxer a hard punching knock-out artist. And as the documentary "Fastball" demonstrated, there's been very little change (if any) in this ability over time. If you calculated fastball speed the same way (front of the plate, sophisticated radar), Nolan Ryan and Bob Feller are both clocked at > 107 mph. Other important abilities: hand-eye coordination, eyesight (for hitters), speed, and strength (for hitters, tho not quite as much as people think: see Ken Griff Jr and that Ruth has the longest measured HR in history--also see Ted Will and Mantle). The first two abilities (coordination and eyesight) are essentially unchanged. When it comes to speed (which has improved over the years), Jackie was likely all-world. I mean, his brother got silver (to Jesse Owens) in both the 100 and 200 at the olympics.
Great idea for a segment
In an era where history is forgotten, or hidden, this shows how great baseball players used to be
He had great stats and he probably had so many shitty calls go against him this man is a all time great
All the time great not even he is average compare to today's MLB players

Babe Ruth would be on the bench today. And Lamar Jackson is better than Johnny Unitas ever was...that’s just how things go.

Great segment!
That's unbelievable that Jackie stole home that many times
Me and Jackie Robinson Share the same birthday January 31st ♒️🤟🏽
Systematic racism has ruined so many talents in the world and specifically in America. That’s a shame
I LOVE SPORTS😍😍😍😍😍😍
Wayne Brady looks like Jackie Robinson😂😂😂
I've read also how astute a businessman he was.
Big 42
That picture makes him look like he is actually out lol. Is it just me??
Optical illusion... If you look at it from the third-base side it was evident that he slid under the tag. There are videos showing that view.
