Not that it's related to this car. But I have almost 0 mechanical skills.. but because of you and your channel I've mustered up the courage to work on my own car. Just did brakes routers and calipers on my car. Thanks for being an inspiration!!!!!! I really appreciate it
That is awesome!
I'm glad your brakes have wifi now, it's very important to change the routers every once in a while
hahaha i was like wtf are brake routers and googled it@@gomul13
Thats great! Ive been wrenching since i could walk i work on rollercoasters now. Brakes are a great easy step into maintenance at home oilchanges alternators spark plugs suspension all great projects that can seem huge and involved at first but as long as you do everything properly (in a good and safe manner with the right practices) it can be truly fulfilling to do these simple things. Ive taught and helped quite afew people to do maintenance and they almost always love it and take so much pride in it. Just remember if you get into something you arent sure of ask every question you can to a trusted skilled friend or pay to have it done. Safety is priority.
As a plumber of over 20+ years ….i commend you for addressing the leak in that old building…..you sir are a stand up man!!!……hopefully the old man lets you get hands on those cool old rigs in that yard….those old cab overs are definitely a dying breed!!!
From Canada here, absolutely addicted to your videos. The content is so different, you never know what you’re going to get… and i love that. Keep up the content Chris.
Glad you like them and can't thank you enough for tuning in!
After watching the Chevy tow truck vid, this man influenced me to work on my grandad's 1972 Oldsmobile Toronado. I even got it up and running. Happy new years Chris
That is awesome!
Hi Chris, I love your mishmash content. It never gets boring. the longer the video, the better. Happy New Year to you and Jenny, and Guss, of course. You all take care 👌👌
Same here, its nice to see little bit of everything going on 👍🏻
It's not procrastination. It is analysis paralysis or at least hesitation. You want every variable, option, function known and worked out before beginning the project. Like putting a coil of copper tubing to cool the air out of the compressor in the Tundra. It is that attention to details that makes your shop very functional (and ever improving), your troubleshooting skills great, and your videos entertaining and informative. Great work Chris. Can't wait to see how the injector works out.
That ford is absolutely beautiful, the last of the plush interior models. Needs to be a keeper!
You always make the best of what you've got. If you had a bigger shop, you'd probably would drive yourself crazy with all the extra space.
😅
A little tip, just the tip, and only for a minute:
*Mustie1* undercoating.... I've used it on multiple occasions to keep the jalopies together (and a few decent rigs also)
The directions: You mix a gallon of Bar&Chain oil into a metal bucket with 2-3 wax toilet bowl rings. You then heat the bucket using a hot plate if you got one, or stick it near a Chinese diesel heater or Mr Buddy until the "sauce" is around 150-200 degrees and the wax rings are melted. You should prep the intended underbody with a wire wheel to remove loose rust and scale. Stir the mix with a paint stick once hot and apply to the underbody of a vehicle with a paintbrush. Drive down a dusty road immediately after application if possible. There is an excellent *Mustie1* video of the process if you look around in his past videos.
Thanks for excellent content, the shop is frickin nice.
Thanks for a great 2023 Chris! Can't wait to see what you come up with for 2024!
Thanks for all the support and see you in 2024 for sure!
Did you remove the PCV or add the hose to PVC and loop it back to intake@@NoNonsenseKnowHow
Man it's about time someone else bring these cars to the limelight! As an owner of a 1989 Crown Vic, it brings joy to my heart :')
20:30 I always blow out spray cans before storing them and they never clog. Just turn it upside down and give it a quick spray.
Chris , if you think you are a procrastinator , you can learn from me how to perfect the fine art of . You get stuff done . I appreciate that of your work . Warning however , you’ve got serious competition , Jennifer . When she gets motivated to knock out a project , that girl gets stuff done . Very proud of her . Wishing you and Jennifer a happy and healthy new year 2024 !
Chris, without a doubt you are THEE BEST ON RUclips!
I thoroughly enjoy all your channels, and must say you are my HERO! Such consistently great content which never fails to entertain and educate.
As a bonus, is your great photography skills during, and at the end of your videos. (including Gus and Turbo)
Your garage build and updates are great, and we love your organization and sensible layout. I must admit, though I'm a retired mechanic, you inspire me to still go out to my own shop!
Have a Wonderful, Happy New Year along with your equally talented, and beautiful Jen.
God Bless both and KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOU DO!
All of your uploads are so packed with true content...the random ones as well!
Thank You! 🙂
Happy New Years Chris! 🎇
Greetings from Sweden!
If I had that Grand Marquis, I would address the rust & undercoat it immediately, polish it, wax it & enjoy it!!! I am in love with that Grand Marquis!
Happy New year Chris, Jen, Gus and Turbo, it's been a great year of video randomness!
For me it really would be a tough choice between the Marquis & Tourino, both awesome looking motors in their own way - keep them both if you can. And those wooden plaques your mate made for you, if they were slightly bigger they'd make cool place mats around your dining table. This is a great channel, keep it coming
Think song was from intro to Trading Places..."Overture of Marriage of Figaro" according to google.. which BTW was filmed in Philly.. very fitting!
Really enjoyed this type of video. Should be named "Hanging out with Chris " 😂. Happy new year to you, Jen, Gus man, and Turbo from Canada!
Very good video! Thanks for taking us along Chris , it is kind of like hanging out with you as we wander around doing different things. Tell Jen that all of us are looking forward to her videos too! Happy New Year to all of you! ✨🎉🎊🎇
Never trust door locks, always put a window down. Especially on an unknown vehicle. When you shut the door it reminded me of getting locked out of vehicles while working on them in my bay. The A.I.R pump was there to fool the exhaust analyzer to pass emissions testing. Odd thing about the A.I.R system was we had to pull the cat convertor before testing, kinda defeats the purpose of the whole system.
That Grand marquis is a keeper! I would proudly operate that full frame, v8 vehicle. I AM SO JEALOUS! What a score!!! They ride like a luxury vehicle/riding on a cloud!!! Love your video's!!!
Happy New year from Aus🇦🇺 , 2 hours to go for us. Can't wait to see what you get upto next year. Thanks for all your hard work and entertainment.
Happy new year from England chris, jen, gus and turbo! looking forward to the new projects you have in store for 2024! God bless our brothers from across the pond! 🇺🇸 🇬🇧!
Cheers!
You turned me on to Surface Shield. (you know, in a biblical sense) :) I seriously love it! I spray it on everything. Great for protecting outdoor exposed equipment. Just sprayed it on my waterpump and motor that is exposed to the elements. Hood hinges, door latches. But by far, the best, I mean the very, very best thing it has done, is it has silenced that infernal, eternal squeaking boatdock. For years it has meant yelling above the squeaks to communicate with guests. and really disturbing the peace. I've tried WD-40, motoroil, brushing in red/bearing grease. WD would work for about an hour. But nothing could ever get it be quiet.
I swear they should do a commercial with a hapless boatdock owner before and after application of Surface Shield. They could probably charge more. Great Stuff. To be fair though, I did have the exact same problem with the nozzle clogging. Thanks for the 78/thou or less tip.
dude this panther is a keeper
Chris your videos are the best. Just bought an olive NNKH Tshirt to show my appreciation for all the free content. Never stop recording 🙏
Awesome, thanks so much for the support man!
That Grand Marquis is the nicest thing you own!🤣🤣🤣
I had an 87 Grand-Marquis such a comfortable car. I loved it.
Those northeastern coconuts were Mastodon snacks. An osage orange! Aka hedgeapples, that tree is in the mulberry family.
Well done, my friend. This car is considered an old masterpiece. You are considered a professor in car mechanics, and I learned a lot from the video clips. 🇾🇪Greetings to you from Yemen ❤
In 2020 I bought a new Ford F150 4X4 with the 2.7L twin turbo Engine. One of the first things I did was to put an Oil catch can on the Engine. They really do work !
Loved the mercury. My dad bought a brand new 1985 4-door Canyon red Grand Marquis. He loved that car untill someone hit him from behind and it was totalled. So he bought a new 1998 Grand marquis. P.S. Great channel.
I wish you made a video every week, I am totally addicted
Chris, I’ve always been envious of how well you have your shop organized. You did an excellent job of utilizing all the space available. I’m guessing you played a lot of Tetris when you were younger? 😂 Happy new years to you, Jen, and Gus
Chris I’ve got to say I really look forward to your videos, I love the way you do things and your organisation in the garage is fantastic. Happy New Year to you Jen, Gus and Turbo 👍
Dropped in because I thought the pic was a Chrysler Cordoba. How excited was I when it turned out to be a Mercury Marquis!
Another great one man, feels like we were just hanging out for an hour…thanks for the upload..:)
That Grand Marquis is absolutely gorgeous. I would take that in a heartbeat. I am very jealous. Happy New Year!
Love your videos, especially the fly outs and drive homes. Wife would never do that with me but my kids would. Maybe when they get just a little older. Happy New Year!🎉 2024
I was watching a guy load a newer (16Kmi) Vic a few years ago at an IKEA in The Burgh. Talk about a trunk! He told me the car was used by the Secret Service at George W's ranch. They were replaced every 6 months and he had a connection to buy one as surplus. He said it was fun to drive down the Ohio Turnpike and watch all the other cars pulling over when they saw him coming. PS - I gave one of our puggies a ham bone once. Mrs. Anderson will never let me forget it. The bone became Cookie's BFF and Mrs. Anderson spent most of her time cleaning up Cookie's diarrhea.
As my wife says, "Done is better than perfect!"
Love your videos, especially when they’re all over. Happy New Year Chris,Jen,Gus,Turbo.
Happy New Year Chris, Jen and Gus!
The panther platform! Eat your heart out Hoovie.
You are NOT a procrastinator! I'm a lifelong sorry procrastinator and if it takes one to know one, then take my word for it! Lol
Oh my! That MGM is a time capsule! Happy New Year Chris, Jen, Gus and Turbo!
Did you know a knock can be cause by the wrong antifreeze in a Toyota causing the knock sensor to change the timing. Make sure you have the red coolant in it. When I worked for Toyota we had a time figuring it out that it was the wrong coolant in it ( who knew)😊
I really dig the Mercury Marquis. I bought a 2005 Marquis when I was done with my e320 Mercedes just to get by, and now 5 years later I'm still driving her. I call her Betty White.
I'd like to thank you guys for all the hard work and effort you put in for this past years videos. The Grand Marquis was an awesome find. I wish you all a happy New Year 🎊✌️🇺🇲
Happy New Year Chris, Jen, Gus and Turbo hope to see more videos in the New Year from Australia 🦘
Those are "horse apples" from an Osage Orange tree. Beautiful, REALLY hard wood.
Great stuff every time. A tip to free up some garage space: sell off all duplicate chains, and tools. If you haven't used it the last 5 years, get rid of it or you'll get into the hoarding business.
Happy New Year Gus, Jen and Chris....Great work on making the most out of your shop...never get tired or your talk or your videos...I especially InJoy going along on your random journeys, and your bike adventures along the trails...wishing you and all the very best for 2024 my friend....
Thanks for the year-end update; that Grand Marquis looks quite mint! When you first started it up, it looked as if you had converted it to run on recycled steel wool...Nice to see the efficient use of space; how to be a "car guy" on an urban lot...Happy New Year to you, Jen, Gus, and Mr. Turbo!
Christmas was better this year with a NNKH ornament on the tree!!
That grand marquis is awesome and it was nice to see some urban exploration again. Oh, and late congrats on the 500k subs.
Thanks man!
That keg/brake rotor hose hanger is genius!! Happy New Year to you Chris, Jen, Turbo and Gus
Another great mixed up video! Dalton would LOVE the Grand Marquis!!
Good Lord KEEP that Grand Marquis it’s a cream puff!!!
Favourite show on RUclips..always like the variety. That car I wouldn’t sell…never going to go down in value…do not make them like that anymore..that been said the Torino would be hard to let go as well…Happy New Year!🇨🇦
I like the idea bench grinders on wheels but the execution scares me a bit. Not hating but that looks like disaster waiting to happen. 🤕🚑 I’d think possibly going with a wider foot print with a lot more weight down low and maybe 4 wheels in a “H” pattern where you can stand in side the “H” to do your grinding. 🤷♂️ Anywho what do I know… hope you, Jenn and Gus have an awesome New Year!
It's fine. You're not very aggressive when you use a bench grinder when using it. It's not like it's a vice or something. That thing won't fall over unless the wheel gets caught in a crack or something but he has new floors.
Wouldnt bee too worried about it flipping over, I would however add weight at the base, like 10 15kg
@@joshlepley1306bench grinders are something that are usually bolted to the floor. You push on them while cleaning rust off parts ect. A bit wider base with locking casters would probably be a bit safer. But Chris is smart and he probably already thought of it.
@kennykennedy6298 Yes, but I'm saying you don't push very hard when using a grinder or wire wheel. The wheels do the work with light pressure. My grinder is on a similar stand. Yes, Chris is smart, so if he finds it to be ok and safe, then im sure it is.
Those flags are awesome
My Wife wants that car, I bought her an 86 4 door one 30 year's ago and she's always wanted another one ever since we gave it to our Daughter.
“Did you get it from an Italian guy?”
😂😂😂
Great video mate.
Your no nonsense delivery give folks the confidence to have a go at their own stuff.
These boxy Panthers were the best. They rode great and were a blast to drive. That 302 always started easily.
Chris our ENTIRE area has become warehousing.. man look across the turnpike bridge towards Florence and Burlington.. that ENTIRE stretch, PLUS if you go out towards 295 in Florence and off every darn exit up and down it's just ALL WAREHOUSES. WTF man.. what are they even DOING with them? It seems they've all been built and have only 1 or 2 cars ever in the parking lots other than the behemoth Amazon warehouses, 2 of which are right here between Florence and Burlington. WHY??
That Marquis is gorgeous!!!! Not too many 2 doors out there, with the Vic or the Merc. I appreciate these old cars more and more every day, especially working in the parts dept at a Ford dealer, realizing no matter the brand, new vehicles are garbage!
I enjoy all of your videos Chris, tell Jen hi for me! Yall stay safe during the holidays my friend! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I bought the ornament it said I helped you but you helped me I never knew what job I wanted to be into but I saw your vids and I wanted to be a micanic so you helped me love your vids
Happy new year Chris & Jennifer, thanks for a great year, looking forward to the next one.
You've done a great job of working with what you've got, Chris, but that shop you rescued the Grand Marquis from would be the bomb for a new work shop.
Yeah I would love that place. He just purchased it recently and plans to clean it up and then rent it out. Doesn't want to sell. He got a fire deal on it
Happy new year guys & Gus !
Thank you for the videos. Love the channels .
I like the squirrel brain videos. That's what originally drew me to your videos. Keep them coming!
Great video...Happy New years!!
Happy New Year to you and Jen. Thanks for videos
Happy New Year! Chris, Jen and family!
Not surprised that Grand Marquis fired right up after its long slumber. The 302 RULES!
I’ve been told a good way to get a tire back in round is jack it up (or get it in the air)… overfill the tires to like 80psi… and leave her for a day or two. They will usually round themselves back out.
Anyone else just love the sound of an air tool?
I just don't get why an air tool sounds so damn satisfy.
Thanks again for excellent videos from 2023, and may you & Jen have a great 2024 with more videos!😃
All over works for me, not boring. Have fun!
the injector dumping fuel may cause severe excess wear in that cylinder. 70% of engine wear at start-up. But I guess you knew that.
Keep the great content coming, many thanks. Having children later in life sucks, do it now, you'll attract Patreon's too.
Ha what you called a NE coconut is a osage orange tree, they used to use them in hedgerows back in the day.
Happy New Year 2024, Chris, Jen, Gus and Turbo! Thanks for some great 2023 videos and trips. Keep 'em coming!
Happy New Year to you both!!!
Happy new year buddy! I like these videos, looking forward to seeing what you get into next year
Oh how we look at our youth through rose colored glasses. My first brand new car was an "87 Honda Accord. My brother's first new car was an '87 Pontiac. He couldn't wait to unload his car 3 yrs later while I was 3k upside in my loan. We all hated the look of these grandpa cars at the time but I'm glad this one survived and is running well.
Happy New Year to you and Jen. Oh and Gus & the cat 🎉
Entertaining year of vids! Thanks. Happy new year.
Playing classical music while you're driving...fitting for a classy ride like that, Chris!
Happy New Year Chris and Jen , great video !
Thanks for sharing. Hi to you Jen and Gus. Happy new year.
Lmao, Marshmellowtown Iowa... Never thought to call it that and I have lived here all my life.
It's great to see all the innovations in the shop. Happy New Year to you, Jen Gus, and turbo 🎉🍺
Happy New Year Chris and Jenn! All the best to ya. Love your videos. Chris you are a genius engineering stuff and perfecting your Kraft. Kudos!
Happy New Year NNKH thanks for a great year of content!!
Great Chris! Thanks, love those old Mercs. As you say, Bullet Proof. Happy New Year to you, Jen and of course Gus.
