I never was a fan of underseat exhaust and id sooner remove it if at all possible for a single side mount cos i just dont like the look or the sound the heat and unslung extra weight up hi but this conversion looks the dog bollox great job dude and sound 👍
What are your thoughts about this exhaust since you've put it on? I have the same bike, same color and everything. Is the exhaust too loud at times? Does the bike get hot quicker? Is there a gain/loss or same amount of power? What are your overall thoughts?
It's really not a performance exhaust. So power wise you won't gain anything. It's more for looks and sound. They weigh a little less then stock. The exhaust gets hot but it's tucked under the rear fairing nice and my wife never felt the heat from it. The sound is perfect it has a nice pop to it and sounds bad ass it's not to loud at least for me. You can take the baffles out but then your pretty much running straight pipes and I'm not a fan of that. As for my opinion I would highly highly highly recommend them. I wouldn't get any other exhaust. They look great they are a head turner. I had people come up to me everytime I was out with it and tell me how much they like the pipes. And I was not running a power commander either. If anything else I would be happy to tell you more.
I have it on my 2006 R1 since 2 years. It's NOT really getting hot. No difference in power to stock exhaust. I had a modified stock exhaust, a Laser x-treme and a Akrapovic before. Nothing gets close to Toce sound. I installed them without Baffles the first time, when i started the bike i was smiling for a minute. Absolutely amazing...but to be honest, even for me ( I'm crazy :-) it was too loud. Then i installed the baffles and drove for a few weeks like that. Sound is also amazing, of cuz not THAT loud and aggressive. Well anyway, after all i removed two baffles, and two are still in. That's the perfect combination for me. People say They recognize my sound from a mile away....
The tail light and the blinkers I don't I bought the bike with them on. The front headlight just has the window tint on them. For the license plate all I didn't was took L brackets I bought from are hardware store painted them black and mounted them off the rear pegs.
That pipe organ look brings all the church ladies to the yard ⛪
that sounds pretty damn good!! ride safe!
