I’m hoping this new writer can bring back the OG series’ satire, humour and characterisation, this time with a new story and direction appropriate for older audiences. I wouldn’t mind seeing Elaris again, provided she gets more screentime, otherwise there’d be little point. Hear me out... so, Ace Hardlight used to be part of a super hero team called the Sonic 7 (Became Sonic 6 when he joined Dreadzone) I think it would be cool if in original cannon, Brax, Cora, Stig, and Elaris were members of the Sonic 6.
Cora can go. She was a one dimensional tough girl. If she don’t have any development that makes her more than 1 dimensional I don’t want her around. (That other guy I can’t remember the name off cuz he was 1 dimensional and stupid and her irritated me so much). Elaris I’d be ok with her returning. She was so cute and likeable and capable. She was not 1 dimensional. Can we bring back Ratchet’s sass and sarcasm? Ratchet had no sass or sarcasm in the remake. He was sly though which I enjoyed. (I liked the movie and game. I just like Ratchet’s sass and sarcasm and want it back).
1:33 - Maybe they'll make more retcons to the reboot and have their own story be on a completely different league from that one but who knows at this point. 1:53 - Probably not considering how most of the old Insomniac Games employees feel about the humor in their old games. 3:11 - Would be a whole lot better if they just make new weapons or in the case of another reboot re-imagine the weapons from the game that's trying to recreate. 4:19 - If they're going to do that then I say at the very least make an effort to make these guys actually memorable, give them their own screen time to be fleshed out and have them go through some challenges or dark moments on their own but at the same time ensure that doesn't get in the way of giving Ratchet & Clank enough screen time as well. Create a perfect balance of screen time and fleshing out between Ratchet & Clank and the returning cast. 4:27 - Funny, I just saw an ad for that this morning today. Looks interesting. 5:01 - She seemed fine to me as well. I did like the dynamic she and Clank had being the smart ones in the group but I feel that like Cora and Brax; she could've been a lot better. 5:47 - A good description of her but where are we going with this? 7:14 - That could be very interesting. 7:43 - Honestly; I think she'd be the type of person who would most likely take back what was stolen from her after all that, maybe after Clank consoles her after what happened. 8:03 - You know what would be interesting? Have Nefarious confront Elaris, have him tell her all about what it was like for him when he worked for the rangers try to convince her to go against them. 9:02 - By that you mean how exactly? As if he and her have met before in the past or that Nefarious had done his research on the rangers in general? 9:40 - I'm not so sure if they'll stop using him as a villain considering how they ended the movie. But I agree, it feels like he's been used enough within each game. 11:01 - Actually now that I think about it, I do remember his name popping up on the leader-boards on Ratchet: Gladiators, maybe they took the name from there when they made the movie? 11:20 - What about that tiara she has with the Cragmite symbol on it? Didn't you once theorized that she could be one of them? Maybe they could do something with that? 11:34 - Honestly; it really felt like they weren't all that interesting in the reboot/movie, they did get in the way of making it all about Ratchet & Clank. For a new R&C game, I was kinda hoping they would make a completely new awesome story with some new interesting characters, especially a new villain. Don't get me wrong, I love Nefarious, but I think it's time they focus on making a new villain. I just get tired of them always using the same old characters and plots. Maybe Nefarious could join the team? I dunno I just like new refreshing ideas :)
Hey I'm the one who asked the question in the first tweet you showed 🐣 I personally would prefer the next game stay fresh (while taking place after ITN) with new characters instead of using reimagining characters. Though Elaris would be the best choice if they did bring in a ranger. She was my favorite new ranger from the reimagining, though I wasn't necassarily crazy about her either. Nonethess your ideas are pretty interesting, but I'd prefer the reimagining stuff stay with the reimagining. (With that said I wouldn't hate if they brought in Elaris and made her better/did different things, just not ideal for me)
I like the art style and formula of the original trilogy, it wasn't at all Disney Pixar nor was it meant to be, it looked and felt like sci-fi action-adventure with an anime art style, and I ain't sure if they'll re-use that character possibly cause she was a prop to add for the movie's cast.

I think there's a good enough precedent for it (how nefarious supposedly became mad by working for the galactic rangers and all) keeping in mind the awkward laugh she let out when speaking about the guy that had worked there before going nuts... This was something that was on my mind since the movie came out and I’m glad some more people are looking into too!! I really do feel like they wanted to do something more with Elaris (have her join Nefarious or just them having some kind of history, like these two characters would play off each other perfectly imo. I would love Elaris to be ex-intern of Nefarious (but I think that Neffy went to school early... his that type of genius, as Elaris is more the TOP OF HER EVERY CLASS genius... at least to me, so even tho he has more experience their are i symilar age? My idea is to bring them all to the OG timeline along with the movie and the game. You know, Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, they are extremely famous for what their actions. That means someone could propose them to make a movie about their beginning in the super hero buisness, especially Ratchet's. That could happen when they decided to go back to Solana for whatever reason, maybe to just chill or something like that (remember Pokitaru?) or maybe Ratchet want to see his home after all this years. I don't know, pure speculation here, but they are in Solana. Next thing, Qwark decided to ressurect the Q-force AGAIN :P, but all of the old members say "nah, I have my own stuff to do" so they need new recruits. And so they come Cora, Brax and Elaris. They had to be trained, but since Qwark is... well... Qwark that resposibilty was given to Ratchet and Clank. So after some time, as I mention in the beginning some guys could go to them and say "We want to make a movie about you", naturally all agree, but since Solana was changed som much after all this years, the movie creators has to alter a ton of stuff (as Qwark said in the game, it has a lot of CGI). Along side the movie, a game was created and published the same day as the movie. After that It's completely open field for discussion what could happen (Not if all I just said isn't a speculation... wait I said that before, ops :S ). Anyway, that's my point of view, they could also just completely scrap the reboot and forget about it I wouldn't mind. But if they scrap the OG? Well, I may not be done with the franchise but will definietly bu suuuper mad about it.
After seeing the photo of Max Apogee at the end of your video, it would blow my mind if they somehow made him the Plumber, even though there are minor differences in appearance. I would like to see some story unfold where the Plumber is some insanely important character to survival of the universe.

Another great video VIVI and once again another one of my Tweets made it into one of your videos. Much appreciated. As for the Re-imagining characters, I think they could somehow re-introduce them into the main series. Mostly Cora and Brax because of the references to the main series they have. With Cora she could have a connection to Tachyon because of that Cragmite symbol and start off as not on the same side as Ratchet & Clank. As for Brax they could bring him into the main series and just explain he's one of the heroes that Ratchet & Clank freed from Dreadzone in Deadlocked. But the next game in the main series, I think should bring the entire main series (one of my ideas was being able to travel across all 3 Galaxies) together for the final game in the main series. Which would include new characters, plus Re-imagining characters re-introduced. Also characters that haven't been in the series for awhile like Slim Cognito, Skid, Al, Angela and others. But Nefarious could start out a villain in the game. But when he has the chance to be rid of Ratchet, Clank and Qwark is when he reveals he turned good. Of course I think they could bring back Vendra and Neftin Prog though, they were great in Into The Nexus. Anyways those are some of my ideas. Keep up the good work VIVI.
A bunch of ratchet and clank reimagining elements could be used in a new game that doesn't involve the movie and I like the idea about Dr.Nefarious not being a bad guy, maybe even an antihero. That would be cool. :)
The next writer could do better. Mabe nefarious know elaris and elaris know him that could make sense how he be came partners with elaris. brax in deadlocked I have no clue how he got out of there. And one thing I like the video and the ratchet and clank series I played 4 games them on ps2 and 6 on ps3 and the ratchet and clank reboot I try to get the bouncer for a long but I finally got.

I honestly couldn't care less about Cora or Brax coming back in any possible future R&C game as they had no defining traits to make them memorable. But I wouldn't mind Elaris being brought into the original continuity as she was the only ranger that I liked. And I must say that story line you made with her just reminds me a lot of the PS2 games. Now many would call me crazy for this but something makes me thing that the parts with Qwark being in jail near the start and end of RC16 could be part of the canon of the original series when you take certain things into account like how RC1 had a movie poster in the epilogue and how Qwark went to jail after RC1 for selling those Hygienators. And keep in mind that canon and continuity are 2 different things like how the terms remaster and remake are or reboot and reimagining are for example. But anyways these are my some of own reasons how RC16 can fit into the canon after RC1 but before GC. 1st off a CG holo-film dramatizing the events of RC1 could have been made which likely could have been in their own version that differs from the movie we got. 2nd, when Ratchet and Clank are attending the many celebrations they could of met someone named Elaris and and she invited them for some weapon testing. 3rd, while in jail after getting caught for his Hygienator scam, Qwark would of told his unreliable version of the movie to Shiv. 4th, after Shiv jacked Ratchet's ship he most likely would of asked Qwark if he was coming along so Ratchet could keep an eye on the big green lug since there wasn't any other guards to watch over and stop him for escaping. Like I said, it sounds crazy, and this can be considered highly conjectural but the same can be said about calling RC16 it's own canon as that's all conjecture as well. Now I won't fight anybody over this as they can have their own opinion but another reason I like to put the opening and ending of RC16 into the original canon is so that way the original continuity can remain intact with all the characters we know and love can remain the same. Sorry Vivi for such a long winded explanation but when it comes to R&C I can go on a roll!
Tbh I just hope that they bring back the adult and satirical humour. If any characters need bringing back it's Dallas and Juanita. Maybe they stayed together and got a job announcing at a different arena.
I hope, after a azimooth Precursor, that they make a sequal to into the nexus, with the reimagening gameplay and graphics but length Nd story of a crack in time.

I thought the latest game in the series was good, though not as good as previous entries on ps2. One thing I would've liked if in the latest one there was arena challenges like from previous games. The arena challenges gave a certain challenge/difficulty for players to do other than the story, would've been cool if continuing through the story unlocked more arena challenges as you went on. So if you kinda didnt want to keep going at the story you could battle it out with enemies or bosses in the arena...and perhaps win a few unbuyable weapons or just lots of bolts (maybe even a golden bolt)
Seeing Elaris again would be awesome! Personally speaking I wasn't a huge fan of the galactic rangers in the film, as I feel like this set of new characters sort of assisted in taking up screen time (And friendship developing time) away from Ratchet and Clank. I sorta get WHY they were in the story... and I guess they played an important role in providing voice roles to well known actors to lure in viewers so that Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, and Nefarious can keep their original VA's, but overall most were 'Meh' to me. Of the additional characters made for the movie I would love to see a return of Elaris and Grimroth especially. Elaris had a lot of narrative potential, especially because I half expected her to be secretly evil when pointing out the last guy who had her job (Nefarious) went bonkers. For Grimroth I just like the idea that Ratchet didn't grow up alone and had SOME sort of adult figure in his formative years looking out for him... As far as Cora and Braxx goes... ehhhhh they're sort of interchangeable jock characters :I If I had to choose I'd say keep Braxx because he has the more interesting looking character design, but Cora's design looks almost identical to Talwyn to the point where if you ripped the models without their textures and broke it down to _just_ their body and face structures, the only noticeable differences between the two is Cora has sharper eyes, is about 1/2 a head taller (Using their heads to compare body proportions), and Talwyn has a tail (Something that would have been a fun line in the movie to have Cora be like "it got caught in a ship engine and I had to chew it off to be free! That's how bad ass I am!"). They look alike otherwise. So same-ish personality as Braxx, same-ish design as Talwyn. Cora doesn't have much uniqueness to her. Would be cool to see a plot where they DIDN'T know each other and Ratchet and Clank meet them throughout a game. Like Elaris is a weapon designer being used by her boyfriend Stigs who sell her designs on the black market, Cora is a cop on her home planet disillusioned with her job because murderers go free just because she didn't sign the right paperwork or get the correct warrant, and Braxx is a former Dreadzone Gladiator that with the 'closing' of Dread zone and the Vox network he doesn't really know what to do with his life outside of fighting. Then Ratchet gets them to go talk to Sasha and join the galactic Rangers because we would like to see her again too. In HD modern graphics.

They could make it so he got sick and died afterwards, that would explain his absence. I'm still wondering how young Ratchet raised himself, surely for some time he had someone.
VIVI I love all the ratchet and clank videos you do. I can obviously tell you're one of the biggest fans of the franchise, like me, but I just don't want hey my hopes up that another game will ever come out. I mean I'm all in for the next instalment, but due to Spider-Man's success it could be really hard and I honestly see a sequel to that happening rather than a new R&C game. You know what I mean? It could be a fair while.
VTNVIVI yes I do understand that you've said it a few times in the past but the thing is, the other IG developers might not be as interested in making another ratchet and clank game. They might want to do something else instead.
I confess. I put humans in the R&C universe when I wrote my fanfiction. I wanted to address where the Earth in relation to all this as I find the explanation of it being far far away to be really boring. Sorry, but not really. I've talked to fans and a lot of them are either hot or cold on the idea of humans in the R&C. Some say it makes the story too grounded and boring as we know a humans limitations. Others say we don't need humans as we have Markazians and Qwark. You could definitely reintroduce the reboot characters into the original universe but in new roles. Heck, they could just be actors from the in-universe movie.
I don’t think they should re introduce characters from the 2016 Reboot into the main series, not that I wouldn’t enjoy it but it would be too confusing for the new audience that only played the reboot.
I do think Neffy is being over used in games too much. He’s becoming Eggman. Eggman’s becoming a dull enemy. I don’t want Neffy to become dull. I think he should come back every 4 games.

I don't imagine Nefy joining the team, I imagine him as an anti-hero now.

I would love Elaris to be ex-intern of Nefarious (but I think that Neffy went to school early... his that type of genius, as Elaris is more the TOP OF HER EVERY CLASS genius... at least to me, so even tho he has more experience their are i symilar age? I mean that might be interesting. We know that Qwark is at least 10 years older than Nefarious from oryginal timeline...) Knowing him before he become evil, seeing how he slowly falls into madness and beeing completly helpless in helping him? Like, she tried to cheer him up and stuff but his traumas just kept layering itself and, him becoming more and more distant until she saw that he was trully gone?

Alright now more serious. My idea is to bring them all to the OG timeline along with the movie and the game. You know, Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, they are extremely famous for what their actions. That means someone could propose them to make a movie about their beginning in the super hero buisness, especially Ratchet's. That could happen when they decided to go back to Solana for whatever reason, maybe to just chill or something like that (remember Pokitaru?) or maybe Ratchet want to see his home after all this years. I don't know, pure speculation here, but they are in Solana. Next thing, Qwark decided to ressurect the Q-force AGAIN :P, but all of the old members say "nah, I have my own stuff to do" so they need new recruits. And so they come Cora, Brax and Elaris. They had to be trained, but since Qwark is... well... Qwark that resposibilty was given to Ratchet and Clank. So after some time, as I mention in the beginning some guys could go to them and say "We want to make a movie about you", naturally all agree, but since Solana was changed som much after all this years, the movie creators has to alter a ton of stuff (as Qwark said in the game, it has a lot of CGI). Along side the movie, a game was created and published the same day as the movie. After that It's completely open field for discussion what could happen (Not if all I just said isn't a speculation... wait I said that before, ops :S ).
Anyway, that's my point of view, they could also just completely scrap the reboot and forget about it I wouldn't mind. But if they scrap the OG? Well, I may not be done with the franchise but will definietly bu suuuper mad about it.
After seeing the photo of Max Apogee at the end of your video, it would blow my mind if they somehow made him the Plumber, even though there are minor differences in appearance. I would like to see some story unfold where the Plumber is some insanely important character to survival of the universe.
We do know this, he sees into the future.

As for the Re-imagining characters, I think they could somehow re-introduce them into the main series. Mostly Cora and Brax because of the references to the main series they have. With Cora she could have a connection to Tachyon because of that Cragmite symbol and start off as not on the same side as Ratchet & Clank. As for Brax they could bring him into the main series and just explain he's one of the heroes that Ratchet & Clank freed from Dreadzone in Deadlocked.
But the next game in the main series, I think should bring the entire main series (one of my ideas was being able to travel across all 3 Galaxies) together for the final game in the main series. Which would include new characters, plus Re-imagining characters re-introduced. Also characters that haven't been in the series for awhile like Slim Cognito, Skid, Al, Angela and others.
But Nefarious could start out a villain in the game. But when he has the chance to be rid of Ratchet, Clank and Qwark is when he reveals he turned good. Of course I think they could bring back Vendra and Neftin Prog though, they were great in Into The Nexus.
Anyways those are some of my ideas. Keep up the good work VIVI.

A bunch of ratchet and clank reimagining elements could be used in a new game that doesn't involve the movie and I like the idea about Dr.Nefarious not being a bad guy, maybe even an antihero. That would be cool. :)

The next writer could do better. Mabe nefarious know elaris and elaris know him that could make sense how he be came partners with elaris. brax in deadlocked I have no clue how he got out of there. And one thing I like the video and the ratchet and clank series I played 4 games them on ps2 and 6 on ps3 and the ratchet and clank reboot I try to get the bouncer for a long but I finally got.

I honestly couldn't care less about Cora or Brax coming back in any possible future R&C game as they had no defining traits to make them memorable. But I wouldn't mind Elaris being brought into the original continuity as she was the only ranger that I liked. And I must say that story line you made with her just reminds me a lot of the PS2 games.
Now many would call me crazy for this but something makes me thing that the parts with Qwark being in jail near the start and end of RC16 could be part of the canon of the original series when you take certain things into account like how RC1 had a movie poster in the epilogue and how Qwark went to jail after RC1 for selling those Hygienators.
And keep in mind that canon and continuity are 2 different things like how the terms remaster and remake are or reboot and reimagining are for example. But anyways these are my some of own reasons how RC16 can fit into the canon after RC1 but before GC.
1st off a CG holo-film dramatizing the events of RC1 could have been made which likely could have been in their own version that differs from the movie we got. 2nd, when Ratchet and Clank are attending the many celebrations they could of met someone named Elaris and and she invited them for some weapon testing.
3rd, while in jail after getting caught for his Hygienator scam, Qwark would of told his unreliable version of the movie to Shiv. 4th, after Shiv jacked Ratchet's ship he most likely would of asked Qwark if he was coming along so Ratchet could keep an eye on the big green lug since there wasn't any other guards to watch over and stop him for escaping.
Like I said, it sounds crazy, and this can be considered highly conjectural but the same can be said about calling RC16 it's own canon as that's all conjecture as well. Now I won't fight anybody over this as they can have their own opinion but another reason I like to put the opening and ending of RC16 into the original canon is so that way the original continuity can remain intact with all the characters we know and love can remain the same.
Sorry Vivi for such a long winded explanation but when it comes to R&C I can go on a roll!

I thought the latest game in the series was good, though not as good as previous entries on ps2. One thing I would've liked if in the latest one there was arena challenges like from previous games. The arena challenges gave a certain challenge/difficulty for players to do other than the story, would've been cool if continuing through the story unlocked more arena challenges as you went on. So if you kinda didnt want to keep going at the story you could battle it out with enemies or bosses in the arena...and perhaps win a few unbuyable weapons or just lots of bolts (maybe even a golden bolt)
Insomniac went with the argument that R&C 1 didn't have an arena. Welp...Seeing the major change already, they could've added one to be honest.
Seeing Elaris again would be awesome!
Personally speaking I wasn't a huge fan of the galactic rangers in the film, as I feel like this set of new characters sort of assisted in taking up screen time (And friendship developing time) away from Ratchet and Clank. I sorta get WHY they were in the story... and I guess they played an important role in providing voice roles to well known actors to lure in viewers so that Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, and Nefarious can keep their original VA's, but overall most were 'Meh' to me.
Of the additional characters made for the movie I would love to see a return of Elaris and Grimroth especially. Elaris had a lot of narrative potential, especially because I half expected her to be secretly evil when pointing out the last guy who had her job (Nefarious) went bonkers. For Grimroth I just like the idea that Ratchet didn't grow up alone and had SOME sort of adult figure in his formative years looking out for him...
As far as Cora and Braxx goes... ehhhhh they're sort of interchangeable jock characters :I If I had to choose I'd say keep Braxx because he has the more interesting looking character design,
but Cora's design looks almost identical to Talwyn to the point where if you ripped the models without their textures and broke it down to _just_ their body and face structures, the only noticeable differences between the two is Cora has sharper eyes, is about 1/2 a head taller (Using their heads to compare body proportions), and Talwyn has a tail (Something that would have been a fun line in the movie to have Cora be like "it got caught in a ship engine and I had to chew it off to be free! That's how bad ass I am!"). They look alike otherwise. So same-ish personality as Braxx, same-ish design as Talwyn. Cora doesn't have much uniqueness to her.
Would be cool to see a plot where they DIDN'T know each other and Ratchet and Clank meet them throughout a game. Like Elaris is a weapon designer being used by her boyfriend Stigs who sell her designs on the black market, Cora is a cop on her home planet disillusioned with her job because murderers go free just because she didn't sign the right paperwork or get the correct warrant, and Braxx is a former Dreadzone Gladiator that with the 'closing' of Dread zone and the Vox network he doesn't really know what to do with his life outside of fighting. Then Ratchet gets them to go talk to Sasha and join the galactic Rangers because we would like to see her again too. In HD modern graphics.

They could make it so he got sick and died afterwards, that would explain his absence. I'm still wondering how young Ratchet raised himself, surely for some time he had someone.

VIVI I love all the ratchet and clank videos you do. I can obviously tell you're one of the biggest fans of the franchise, like me, but I just don't want hey my hopes up that another game will ever come out. I mean I'm all in for the next instalment, but due to Spider-Man's success it could be really hard and I honestly see a sequel to that happening rather than a new R&C game. You know what I mean? It could be a fair while.

I confess. I put humans in the R&C universe when I wrote my fanfiction. I wanted to address where the Earth in relation to all this as I find the explanation of it being far far away to be really boring. Sorry, but not really. I've talked to fans and a lot of them are either hot or cold on the idea of humans in the R&C. Some say it makes the story too grounded and boring as we know a humans limitations. Others say we don't need humans as we have Markazians and Qwark.
You could definitely reintroduce the reboot characters into the original universe but in new roles. Heck, they could just be actors from the in-universe movie.

I don’t think they should re introduce characters from the 2016 Reboot into the main series, not that I wouldn’t enjoy it but it would be too confusing for the new audience that only played the reboot.

Also you know what it really annoying about the actual release of kingdom hearts III? 4 days before the resident evil 2 remake is coming out, and on the same day as KH3 is in Japan. Have you ever been a fan of those series or Capcom in general? Personally I think they're a bit overrated but I don't mind the resident evil series as a whole but I've got a friend who loves the original ps1 trilogy but hates 4 onwards, as on Facebook, when something related to the 4th game comes up he posts "LEON HELP!"
