Excellent, I was indeed staring at it and wondering how to compress it to get the pin in whilst on the car, taking it off to reset it occurred to me but I imagined parts flying out everywhere!
Thanks Very much for sharing 👍😎

thanks for the tip on size two allen key. Man, everything went really smooth today except adjusting rear cam to fit the belt on TDC and it jumped forward 90%. After awhile of adjusting it back and got TDC on every cams and crankshaft. All I had to do is pull the pin and then everything went to hell. The pin WAS SO HARD TO PULL OUT and it got stuck. First time I pulled the h.tensioner back out and reset it with the pin and put it back in. Pulled the pin the second time. Same thing! too hard to pull it out and it got stuck again but this time it stretched the pin end to a U shape. I was so beat at the moment and just decided to shut down everything. (From 9AM-10PM just got in to rest). It'll be a hassle pull everything back out and adjust TDC again (which I'm afraid will lead to other problems). But will use allen key tip you shared. Any tip to pull the pin safely in one shot. I dont know why the damn pin is so hard to pull and got stuck twice at the very end.

I just slide a socket extension through the hole in the pin and pull the ends with 2 hands

How long do they last ... How many times can you reuse the tensioner? Thanks for the video!

If it's new ,u can reset it,but if not ,don't recommend it,almost bent valves on a 4g63 motor ( tensioner was able to push with fingers ) ,go with a new tensioner and avoid problems

@@SupriorJovHD Thanks for the info. Hydraulic tensioners don't look like they ever wear out but I guess the seal fail eventually.
