  • I followed settings described in the JP-2C manual on how they designed Ch2 and Ch3 of the JP-2C.
Basically, VOL1, TREBLE, MASTER and LEAD MASTER are pulled. Then VOL1 is set to fixed 6.5 and then LEAD Drive(GAIN in JP-2C) is also set to 6.5 for that tight crunch sound, fast attack. EQ is also set as shown.
For Lead sound, i moved the VOL1 to 1 number higher and then LEAD DRIVE to 8.5.
I have 2 lead sounds here, the first one is with keeley red dirt in front plus EQ in the loop via axe fx to push mids 1 notch higher. 3:59 Then the other one without those 2 in the chain.
    Super TIGHT!!!

This is probably one of the best videos there is for accurately demonstrating what a iic+ is really like in the room. Perfect. Is this a switchable ++? Or fixed?

This setting sounds pretty good on my Mark III+ Blue Stripe Simul Combo. Maybe a tiny bit much on the bass, but that's easily adjusted. So much fun changing up the rhythm/lead tone now and again! I feel like I've tried a million slightly different combinations over the past 10 years, haha. Cheers!

What does the treble pull shift do, does it add more gain or does it add a deeper tone?

It’s got crazy tones , then lead notes got some depth . Thick notes from thin strings .

@@mile5 i wouldn’t choose it over the others you have shown and i am biased because i have it’s twin, but between the channels and blending it is a treasure.

What happens when you pull the bass knob? Does it give you more lows? Or does it cut the lows a bit?

Becomes a bit flubby and recto territory so i prefer pushed.
