WE REMEMBER: Bataan Memorial Death March (2024)

Over 5,000 service members and civilians participate in the 35th Bataan Memorial Death March, White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, March 16, 2024. The marathon is held annually to honor the sacrifices of the U.S. and Filipino service members who were captured by the Japanese and forced to march approximately 65 miles through the jungle to Camp O’Donnell, a former Philippine army training center where the prisoners were interned.
