It was a really good remake but there's some things they weirdly messed up. The hunter and hivemind being the main things, which is kind of a gut punch.

I remember that moment when I first encountered the Hunter. I don't know if it was intentional or a bug, but even after running away from the initial chamber and getting near the Store/Suit Kiosk, I could hear the thing screaming and punching around inside the vents. It really kept me on my toes - I always try not to panic when fighting this guy.
Yeah, it is intentional. It was made to let you know that Hunter is ALWAYS near you... It can get out from any vent, any wall, even when you think you're safe, shopping items... Pure paranoia and fear. Of being prey. I loved that moment too. :)

It was just the clawing, groaning sounds, and the awful 'footsteps' which this guy makes, when walking around in the vents. It was near the save station and the suit kiosk, with the room having a broken ceiling. Made you think the whole time that the ceiling was going to collapse eventually!

Even though I loved the remake, the old med bay was so much scarier. I don't know if It's because I already knew everything that would happen since I played the original. The first hunter encounter was also a letdown.

Let's face it, basically anything complex enough to want to hunt you down won't endure those kinds of temperatures, living or not, naturally occurring or not. So credit there for overkill.
He’s such a chad that’s why, all the other necros Run or sprint at you, screaming what’s left of their lungs out. But The hunter just walks to you knowing he is gonna catch up anyways, doesn’t even scream just growls with his deep chad voice. The mf also has the audacity to sharpen his blades in battle.
The hunter is mechanically not that difficult to deal with even on impossible. The main difficulty with him is how panic inducing he is specifically in the original with this music. I remember one part where I had a plan figured out going in to fight him and immediately once I was in the room with him I kept clicking the kinesis button when I was trying to reload and ran away. He would basically make me forget how to play by being too scary.

OG Hunter>>>>Remake Hunter. I think that OG Hunter is scarier than the remake one imo. Between the roaring sounds he makes (they were loud and unique for OG hunter, while remake hunter just sounds like your rather generic slasher), his theme (remake hunter doesn't even have a theme to my knowledge, standard necro battle music just plays when you fight him), OG hunter would sometimes stop in place to sharpen his claws (to my knowledge remake hunter doesn’t do this), his loud footstep sounds (This made OG hunter rather intimidating when he's charging at you. Remake hunter lacks these loud footstep sounds), his glowing yellow eyes (remake hunter just has standard slasher eyes now), and the loud roaring and footstep noises OG hunter did when you first encountered him (the ones that echoed throughout the medical bay when he was first released, I can't believe that they didn't bring back this tension for the remake hunter).

This kinda sucks cus I was really hoping that the Hunter would become a much more threatening enemy in the Remake akin to how RE2 Remake handled Mr.X or how RE3 Remake handled Nemesis but the only thing that makes him threatening now is the fact that he can show up anywhere. Funny enough, I actually got into an argument with someone over how the remake wouldn't change the Hunter into something worse, now I'm starting to see that the person I argued with was right about the Hunter being kinda downgraded.

annoying yes annoying yes giving a fear and more than anything despair for that thing stop chasing for 2 minutes later then take it and in a puzzle and don't have stasis someone without feelings would say that it is annoying but for us it seems cool and very intimidating play dead space and as soon as you listen to its main soundtrack, run, just run, fight against it is impossible and it will only stop when you die or are infected and are a necromorph, but by the way, about the puzzle, while this is not a joke, I repeat, it is not a joke, you have to move bedrooms to get to the end and no it's not a big place it's very very narrow and the only way to pass the puzzle without using up all your stasis is to bug it or put the beds in front of it and hopefully you won't think of going on the free side even if you pass it
