I prefer the VILTROX lens image look. FILM MAKERS wake up!!! EXPENSIVE LENS does not always mean good imagery. Your set design, actors costume, props placement, lighting style, sound effects, music, STORY TELLING STYLE, and camera movement are the important things you should worry about.

Couldn’t have said it better myself! 🙌

I forgot to add GOOD ACTING PERCORMANCE(S), and final project delivery ''look''. These days, you can make any 4K video from any camera look like ARRI ALEXA color - if you add CINEMATCH LUT and GAMUT LUT. I just ordered a SIGMA 18-35MM plus a SIGMA 50-100 F1.8 ART. I shall pair them with a 1.3x anamorphic adapter on a super 35mm 6k camera. I'M SUPER HAPPY TO BE MAKING FILMS DURING THIS ERA! Bazinga!!!!

Thanks for this comparison. Love the Cooke Pancros and liking the Viltrox.

Thanks for posting! I am getting the 35mm in and didn't really consider that the 1.33x squeeze will make it "look" wider. What would your recommendation be for a first of the set for run and gun documentary type work if I had to purchase one at a time? I am thinking about returning it for the 50mm.

Not a fan of the viltrox anamorphics but solid video bro

This years been crazy for Anamorphics! The Viltrox are just great value, that said, DZO and Laowa's new offerings are way more intriguing in my opinion :)

How is the focus gear? I’ve heard they can be very stiff causing issues with FF motors.

@@thereeljohnsteele I own 50mm and while Aperture ring is perfect, focus stiffer than I prefer but it far from bad, tilta FIZ motors have more than enough torque for them

@@alexanderdavidyuk5027 I ended up picking them up and used them on a 4 day shoot. Very impressed with them but did have a few issues with the focus ring. I own the Nucleus M and even with the torque I could see it struggling or the auto calibrate would not work completely at times. I’m hoping the focus will work itself in more and if not I’ll send them in to be tuned.

Nice lighting. I don't like what the Viltrox do to the shape of the face. Cookes just look great

your video title is at best misleading. the price obviously matters
