Thanks for covering in much detail. Helps a lot in understanding and also thank you for the knowledge shared by Infinity Auto. Graphene Coating seems to be an interesting stuff. I am suffering a lot from bird droppings on my RE paint.
If you study in more depth you will see that if you don’t park your bike on the spot where the droppings happen, there are no droppings on the ground 😀😀. It’s like they just want to shit on the vehicles.

i bought Honda Hness recently, i have pro model(Red Maroon). it's been 2 weeks i see minor scratches on tank. i am not sure how those scratches happened, i am planning to do PPF. is it worth? On an average detailing shop is quoting 8k
Can PPF be done over Graphene? Will that cause the coating to last longer?
I use my H'ness for daily commutes and long hauls, I'm worried about scratches from the tank bag.
It can be done buddy, but no point in doing on the entire panels. It can be done on the side and top of the tank so that riding pants and bags doesn't spoil the colour and also on the side panels where our trousers come in contact. The colour tends to fade in that area.

No buddy, infinity doesn't have an outlet in Mumbai, but there are other detailing shops that can do this for you. The only catch is, I have not heard anyone doing Graphene coating. Most of them do Ceramic coating.

Go for Graphene coating if it's available in your locality. Even 9H Nano ceramic is good.
Hi Raj, would you still recommend graphene? Have purchased cb350 Rs a week back and came across your video.
Graphene coating has certainly helped me retaining the shine of my bike since the last 1.5 years inspite of having an open parking in Mumbai where I use the bike most times. The only problem is, the cost of graphene coating has gone up exponentially and hence becomes a catch 22 situation. I have heard they charge around 9k these days with 2 years warranty.
Thank you for sharing this information. I stay in mumbai but planning come to Pune and do this. Just one question I have. In ceramic coating. They do it not only just tank and panels but also on the rims and engine. Basically it covers the entire bike. But in your video I could see only tank and side panels they did may be you didn't shot that. So pls of you can give more info here about what all they did other than tank and panels.

Hey Rohan, Graphene was not done on Engine. There was another Engine 'Dressing' process done. Graphene was done on Painted panels and plastic parts like the all the lights.
If you are going to be there tomorrow, I might visit them for a post coating wash and also plan to put PPF on the thigh and back area of the Tank(kabhi kabhi lagta hai kuch jyada hi ho raha hai 😅)

So now after a year .. how is the coating still treating the bike !
To be honest, inspite of doing only a single coat whereas my package was for 2 coats + 1 booster, the shine and glitter on the bike is still intact after taking the heavy rains of Mumbai. Not sure if it is coz of the coating, but the bike looks very shiny comparatively with other CBs of the same period.

Only on painted parts. Chrome pe coating nahi kiya hai . Barish wala dirt normal water se nahi jayega kabhi..woh high pressure se chipak jata hai..so High pressure se hi nikalega..

Yes, it can be surely done on matte finish, but the colour should be absolutely virgin just out of the showroom for matte finish. As on Matte finish, paint correction cannot be done.

Colour is a very subjective matter in my opinion. Depends on person to person.. Like personally like the Black n silver dual tone n the blue n white dual tone...

The costs have gone astronomical high. I was told for graphene will cost ₹8000 with two year warranty and the PPF with their own film cost 11-12k with 5 year warranty and that was adviced to be preferred approach. I found this to be taking advantage of the demand and not value for money. Might choose something reasonable.
Absolutely at 8K and 11K it definitely does not make any business case.

Hi Tejas, you can buy this from either Mumbai (Andheri & Thane) or Kolhapur.
Kolhapur Bigwing (Dreams Honda) can deliver the bike in Pune with extra transportation charges around 3.5k and for service support they come with thier service team once in a while to service a group of bikes in every visit.
If you are not in a hurry maybe soon in a month's time Pune Bigwing (Pashankar Honda) may too start.
If you buy from Mumbai, they arrange temp passing with extra 2.5k cost but have not given any commitment on service support in Pune. I have seen people from Nashik traveling to Thane service center for free service.

Hi Arun, I got this bike from the Thane showroom. Opening of Pune showroom has been postponed. It was initially Pashankar Honda who were gona deal with Bigwing showroom.

1) If you're in Pune then from where you do the servicing because I believe, not all Honda servicing center serve this model?
2) I haven't seen this bike from my eyes. Only seen in videos and pictures. It looks like Splendor+. Or in reality it looks huge?

1). I belong to Mumbai and hence I have the free service from Thane showroom and come to Pune often to meet my parents who stay in Pune.
2). Looks are very subjective and to be very honest people who compare the bike with splendor haven't seen it personally or have some background (some people have a special fanship towards a particular brand, there are RE fans, Jawa Fans, KTM fans etc. Though I haven't seen RE fans passing immature comments 😁) who make such comparison. Trust me when I say that the bike has a Majestic look and carries a history of 50+ years in international markets. And this I am saying from a very neutral view as I belonged to the automotive industry and has the tendency of calling black - black and white - white and not because I own a Highness today.
Probably at the next available moment I will make a video putting the bike next to a splendor 😂.
Anyways, if you are interested you can explore buying from the Kolhapur Bigwing dealership. They deliver the bike in Pune with some 3k extra for transportation and come to Pune for service by scheduling a batch of 10-12 bikes for service in a visit. And this will be required only for the first free service Which will be due in 1 month from delivery. The second free service comes after 6 months or 6k kms by then maybe and surely there will be a showroom in Pune.

Originally Pashankar Honda was supposed to be the Bigwing dealer for Pune, but for some reasons ( guess you might have heard the news around the owner) it fall apart. But for sure Pune is on the list of Honda and could be Pashankar or BU Bhandari that may start soon.

I did it for 4.5k but this was 2 years back.. so not sure about the current rates. I will be soon visiting them again to see what are the new rates and if any new product is available.

Thanks mate! Post application you just need to avoid wiping or washing the vehicle for minimum 10 days.. this helps in better curation. Rest it's the coats job to protect the paint against environmental damage.

What's the use of this coating?
This coating prevents paint damage from light scratches..bird droppings.. fading due to parking in direct sun etc.. gives a different level of shine aswell..

Amazing vedio... Please remove the sticker of our indian flag from front mudguard.. it's not appropriate to put a flag sticker on bike.. bcz it gets dirty due to day to day riding. And it's kind of disrespect towards our flag.. it's my personal feeling . I hope u understand... Vedio is superb ..👍👍👍
Thanks for your kind words of appreciation and also the suggestion about the tricolour. When I was pasting it, this thought did touch my mind.. but to be honest, my Hness is only used for rides (daily commute is done on a RX100 and a DIO) and I ensure that the tricolour is clean more than my helmet visor. Somehow my long ride bikes, another RE 500 (even that has this tricolour at the same place on the fender) are always in a exceptionally clean condition, thanks to my habbit cleaning them like someone does a detailing job. And again, I really appreciate your concern and luv for the tricolour and can completely relate that too mine and which is what I can't resist having one in front of my eyes all the time. Hope you understand.

Though it's only deep shine polish with no added advantage like sunscreen color fade protection.
Not sure if it is only physiological but I have seen my bike has a very good shine even after almost a year compared to other people I know from the H'ness group. That too after the bike constantly exposed to the crazy rains we have in Mumbai as I don't have a covered parking here. And bird droppings have auto healed. Else they leave stains almost tearing the clear coat at time.
i like the bike a lot but sadly it is a bit height for me ....
If I may ask you, how tall are you.. coz I know people with 5.4" comfortably manoeuvring this bike. Even I am just 5.6" and can manage with tip toe. Just a tip, always ride with good heal shoes that has atleast 1" height at the toe area..adds to the advantage.

No doubt the bike looks so shiny and smooth, but I highly doubt the 9H or 10H remark... Its actually hardness of a material on Mho's scale, 10H means as hard as diamond. Even at 7H, the surface should not be scratchable with a pin etc which is at 5-6H hardness, 10H can only be scratched with a diamond.

Yes right, but there is a difference between the diamonds structural layout and graphene structural layout. Graphene is more of lateral layout like a flat layer of atoms of carbon, two dimensional compared to the 3 dimensional layout of diamond . This helps to stack multiple layers over each other increasing the durability and strength over the period of time. And graphene is blended with other things that actually makes it more stronger and flexible. Not sure of how should we check this on hardness scale though. Its really nice if you can share some further insights, it’s always good to exchange such good talks
@@2fanni328 hi... I agree, both graphene and diamond are carbon structures and graphene these days are doing wonders and has many applications. But my point was only about the hardness, claiming it to be 10H or even 9H is rather bold claim.
@@2fanni328 testing hardness is simple.. Ay surface needed to be tested for hardness needs to be scratched with increasing hardness picks or something, like 2H is plastic, other metals like copper has around 4, all pin has 5, so practically of something has harness 9H or even 7H it cannot be scratched with an all-pin. You can try this on your phone screen which has a harness of 6, it doesn't get scratched with a pin. Those hairline scratched do occur on phones is because of sand and dirt in the pocket which has hardness of 7 or even 8 sometimes.

Not worth it, a new tank is around 5K.
The objective here is to have a very optimistic approach on not having to replace the tank for any undue incident and hence applied from a paint Protection objective.

People who want to have the coating can always do it too. Keep posting your videos. Not discouraging you in any manner.
Absolutely not. nothing negative in your opinion...I totally understand what you meant and to be honest generally even I am of your opinion. But just this time around thought of pampering the babe with something like this ( generally I prefer spending on Mechanicals and not cosmetics) but somehow I felt the clear coat of the Highness is not that hard and is prone to patchy stains and hair line scratches (as u might have seen in the video) and so thought it would be good idea to have a protection layer and thankfully found this amazing team at Infinity (I am very picky and choosy about who touches my machines).

Yes the price comparison is correct. However practically somebody will replace the tank only when it’s damn dirty with lots of scratches after long time. This cost is for maintaining same finish and shine throughout the long run.
Cost is exhibit , why Manufacturers don't do it at the factory site itself is question . Instead polishing weakly with waxes is best solution.
