    The “knob” is pretty cool, looks like it would be a convenient tool use.

    Brightness seems poor. I like sunlight in my room. Regardless - fantastic review. Thank you for sharing.

      Thanks for watching! I think during colour accurate sessions you want to control the light in the room to ensure you focus on the monitor, but it would be nice for it to be brighter.

    Have you reviewed a Dell Ultrasharp 4k monitors? I see them as a direct competition to this monitor? Is BenQ better for professional or they are both the same?

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  2 года назад +1

      Hi Wendy, not had a chance to review a newer version of Ultrasharp. We have some experience with older panel and they are still good. Ultimately now it comes down to colour calibration and features that you require.

      @@A2KMedia hi man! I was wondering, if you could choose between the BenQ PD2705U or the Dell U2720Q, which one would you choose for photo/video editing? I think I’ve watched YT videos for six hours a day to search for a new monitor but I just can’t decide 😩 the only negative thing I’ve heard about the Dell is the backlight bleed. I hope you could give me the golden advice… thanks a lot!

  • @fotoramas
    @fotoramas 2 года назад

    Hello.
    How well does it work together with the new Mac Studio?
    I'm mainly referring to the upscaling to go from 5K to 4K, so that the menus are not so small.
    Does it lose some sharpness or is it not noticeable?

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  2 года назад

      sorry had not tried that option, but it should just work in standalone way at 4k just like we have it here and you can change scaling in OS

    Recently benq launched pd2706u both these monitors have similar specifications. But pd2706u is much cheaper. Can someone suggest which one is good to buy at this time

    • @steveosaur
      @steveosaur Год назад +1

      If you compare the specs on the Benq site you will see that the newer and cheaper display is also brighter and has higher power delivery. The drawbacks are in the bigger bezel, slightly lower color space coverage and that it does not feature Thunderbolt. All in all, the PD2706u is probably the better deal for most people.

    250nits seems to be very low brightness for a monitor of this price, I believe the 2018 PD2720u and the PD2700u both have better nit brightness.

    • @nadtz
      @nadtz Год назад

      Yeah, starting to hunt around for a monitor to possibly replace my ProArt (want a KVM) and this looked good till a couple other reviews mentioned the brightness.

      @@nadtz I'm having trouble finding anything, it seems there's no like in between the super high end monitors and something like BenQ PD2700u for ecanple. Like 400-600 nits with dci p3 and Adobe sounds absolutely perfect but I literally can't find anything.
      I have heard that the brightness might actually be 350 but I'm not sure. It makes no sense to have hdr 400 and only have a 250 brightness...

    • @nadtz

      @@alexangell903 So am I. My personal sweet spot is 1440p and unlike the last generation of monitors there only seems to be 1 1440p option for creators (the CV 27 inch proart) which doesn't seem to be much of an update from what I have. The 'low end' of 27" 4k designer monitors all seem to be lacking as well. Maybe I'll upgrade my 144hz instead, there are a couple decent 144p 144+HZ monitors out there with KVM that I could replace my old viewsonic with.

      some alternatives are from Dell and Asus with their ProArt series. make sure they have certified colour accuracy for the colour space you want to use. so photography is normally adobe RGB and youtube sRGB

    So ,
    What is the AdobeRGB gamut ?
    What is the black / grey uniformity of the monitor ?
    What is the EXACT brightness and contrast ratio of this monitor ?
    What even is this nothing of a review ?
    Your review is terrible !
    This is just "this monitor is good" , "good colors" reading straight from the official website BS !
    This is not a review , this is just a shameless promo !
    Why is it that gaming monitors are the only ones getting proper reviews yet professional office monitors where customer base have higher standards get skimpy ad equivalent of "reviews" like this ?!
