I only have hand woodworking tools but i'll give it a go! We have a circular saw but it's a bit too intimidating for me to use since it'd be my first time using one, so I'd play it safe hahaha.
Great build! The simplicity is brilliant! This adjustable design is just like the Akro-Mils "Akro-Grid Dividable Plastic Storage Boxes". I can tell you I priced out enough boxes to fill two large 24" deep Husky toolboxes and it was over $600 in containers! I think I'll save $570 and spend a day doing what you did!
Don't want to be that guy, but a word of caution about using a fence and a miter slide at the same time can cause kick back. If you add a short piece of material at the beginning of the fence you can align your pieces, but when you advance the miter slide you will have a gap between the fence and your work piece. It's safer that way. Just don't want you to get hurt. Kick backs are uncomfortable, ask me how I know. Great organizer trick. Thanks for sharing.
great idea for the indexing! id suggest setting the fence up with a stop block that stops shy of the blade- you probably aren’t gonna cause a kickback with that cut, but best practices and all that. definitely stealing the indexing idea though! finally getting comfortable with my table saw and it’s been a massive gain for me
What if you cut a groove on the sides front and back so when your installing the dividers which would need to be a little longer they would drop down in the grooves and won’t fall over and wouldn’t need to use hot glue I’m just wondering that work station is very nice and I like that remote switch on your belt loop for the saw
I've watched a lot of videos with drawer organization hoping to pick up some ideas for my drills and taps. I have quite a few. Everything I've seen was highly inefficient. Looked nice and would likely work for someone who has an index and maybe a few stray drills, but not for anything serious. Your setup, however, is a different story. I like it a lot. Versatile, a good amount of space. Just one problem; I'm not a woodworker. Back to square-1.
I've been looking all over the place for these, the internet, Menards, and Home Depot. If only I had a jig saw! Do you know where I can find these in different sizes pre-made? I have a bathroom vanity with drawers that came with these dividers and some are missing.
Awesome stuff.... Looking for ideas to display artifacts, arrowheads etc. I think this technique would be perfect. Can you clarify the name of the original type of board that you bought?
Looks great. I've got a couple questions though: Can you show us how you made the jig? Like how the mdf guide piece is attached? And also, do you have to have a table saw blade that matches the thickness of the divider pieces? Thanks.
Thank you for posting, great job. One question, do you think it would be disadvantageous to use 1/4" plywood instead of MDF? I hate MDF! Thanks again. Mark
Please don't laugh. I am eighty plus and new to laser cutting. I have created a divider box template. When I slip one notch over the other it doesn't push down to bottom. Are your notches exactly the same width? Oh, I am afraid to use table saw, okay with chop saw and band saw.
You need to get a microphone. Your voice is very quiet so have to turn up the volume, then comes THE MUSIC!!!! Loud, very loud. Love the drawer divider idea 👍
Amazing video , quick and to the point but packed with detail. Thank you!
Very slick jig for repetition. All my drawers are dying for cool dividers like these. Thnx for your time
Nice. Simple and easy. The jig is great!
I’ve been looking for a video on making a jib to cut this type of divider for over an hour and am so glad I found your video! Thank you!!!
You are so good at handling wood!
Simple and quite efficient!
Thanks for the video and how to make these!

Alex, don’t let power tools intimidate you. Start with easy cuts and progress. You tube helpful.
Well made video!! Thanks for putting it out there, getting straight to the point and demonstrating everything thoroughly.
Looks great.
Could be applied to lots of drawers.
Now I know what the groves in my table saw are used for, slides.
Your very tallented.
Nice work thanks. I'll be doing this. Just bought an old library Dewey Decimal card cabinet and need to hold parts. This will work for that.

Great organizer trick. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome organization. I love that.Great job. Thanks for the inspiration.
Totally what I needed!!!!
EXCELLENT !!!!
Amazing wish I was able to accomplish something like that in my garage it would look a lot better
You can if you believe in yourself.

Awesome job 😁🌹
Awesome video! Make more please!! ☺️
I am trying to make the same dividers. I was wondering if you could explain making the jig please. Nice job,
Nice job!
That’s awesome! :) what a clever idea
- Very good video; simple, concise, useful info. Thanx for sharing.
Nice and simple! Good job
Awesome
Love the hat

Nice work. I could use something similar in my kitchen drawers.
Ha

If not do you make and sell them?
Very cool, cheers👍🏻
very nice, about to do the same.
Nice

One more question, Jim. Any tips on labeling? And, yes, I'm anal enough to want to get the labeling issue right. Thanks again. Mark
hi what is the thickness of the saw blade your using ?
Dang, is that the WEN 4227 you have there behind you
Nice 👌
Can I make this without a table saw? I only have hand tools.
Useful tx a lot

What type blade do I need to use to make these notches?

There should be no reason you couldn't use plywood. Just make sure you set your index jig pin to the right size. Should not be a problem at all!
@@jimglowacki9724 Thanks Jim!
What if you used 1/8” thick aluminum with 1/8” wide table saw blade, metal version for toolboxes….
hello do you have a video on how you made you divider jig
Yeah, but can it serve coffee?
Rout grooves in the drawer sides, much easier to set up and change the dividers..

Hello , do you use a dado blade ?
Yes, it was set to 1/4 inch to match the thickness of the stock.
@@designedandrefined5374 Thank you for quick reply and thank you for giving time and sharing videos with us. Best Wishes.
You should sell these 😊
:( Great video but too many equipment that you dont have at home.
What wood did you use for the dividers?
Music is very disttacting
Loud music... no no.
Soft speaking narrator... no no.
Amazing organizer... yes, yes.
Ideja dobra, tutorijal uzasan. 2 minuta pricas, a i u ostatku videa ne zatvaras usta.
This goddamn music... it could have been great.

What is the cost ?
What an annoying music background... It is difficult to follow... Blee
The music prevented me from watching the complete video...rethink wether one needs to listen to distracting and annoying music...
You need a much better microphone dude. Also a camera you can focus.
Really poorly done
Dude you talk too much
