- Get your drawers organized! In this workshop drawer organization video I’m making simple drawer dividers with an upper level sliding tray for extra storage. Adding drawer organizers actually makes drawers bigger and you can easily find what you’re looking for.

Nice project as usual! Seriously, the word "drawer' is a very odd word, indeed, in the English language. I would like to see those who are so amused attempt to pronounce "tiroir," just for laughs. Perhaps you and Tamar could do a joint presentation on the various, legitimate variations of the word and comments you have recevied!
lol I was going to mention Tamar's "draws"
Ha! Don't know what I love more about that 😂 Me and Tamar having a pronunciation stand-off or hearing people try to say tiroir right 🤣
@@DIYMontreal personally I didn’t notice how you said it. Sounded fine. But then again I’m from California and we say fur instead of for so maybe I’m a little desensitized 🤣😂🤣
@@lindewoodworking Fur sure! 😉 I used to live in Tucson as a kid, and we borrowed a lot of Valley. I'm in WI now, and we say drawers like "doors" ("droors"--yikes! 😂😂😂).
@@jacquesdespadas that’s awesome! 🤣

This is so thoughtful in being easily accessible with minimal tools and not over designed! It’s great!
I've been making a Sewing desk for my wife and when I finished the drawers... well it was just a big box with a lot of room. Your "You Tube" was great about making inserts and slider within the drawer... just before the build I went to Rockler "Black Friday deal" and bought a Bessey 90 Angle Clamp that really made the build so much easier. Just wanted to thank you for a great video... I watched you video on making the desk top and how you brought the desk top up to the room where the desk was to be placed. Last year I had a leak in my ceiling in the Kitchen... and watching a guy from the West Coast about plastering I came across "Zip Wall System" I put this up in the kitchen made the repair no dust got out "and there was a lot of it" got out into the kitchen or the rest of the house. Anyway food for thought I enjoy your "You Tubes" keep up the good work!
You are a genius, the straw trick saves so much messing about removing squeeze out, I am in your debt! BTW I like the way you say drawer, it's understandable and a little different to the way we pronounce it in Australia and that gives variety and interest. Who wants to live in a world where everyone says and does things exactly the same way? We would never end up with things like the straw trick. Cheers from your friend in Aus!
As a fellow Canadian, I like the way you say "drawer".
Amazing!
Hello from Toronto, and a big thank you for this thorough and easy to follow tutorial. Both my Dad and husband are carpenters with great skills and fancy tools but neither one of them would make a drawer organizer, because they are waaaay to busy with their work. I'm not a carpenter and I don't have fancy tools, but I have lots of cardboard boxes in the basement. Guess where I'm heading next ? And since I'm a girly girl, I will cover my beautiful drawer organizer with pink craft paper 😊😊😊Again, thank you kindly for showing me how to build an organizer.
As soon as I saw them notches I smiled. Great job!
Love it! I'm stealing the straw trick...that's a great tip.
Finally someone who says draw-ers just like I do. 😁Thank you!
Je suis bien content que ce soit une «chose canadienne française»! Bravo!
Really enjoyed that clip, drawer dividers are soooo expensive and not quite suitable for every application but being custom made really is a no brainer, Thanks for the show! Pronunciation of drawers is easy, its just 'draws'
Another great one Marie! I have some very large drawers in my miter saw station that desperately need this and the use of stacking organizers is the way to go!
Beautiful!
Wow! You are really You. I gave you the first thumbs up this morning, I log back in to post my thoughts and here we are. You are making waves again, Great job Marry!! 👌🌻
Thank you! And thanks for coming back to watch :)
You are Welcome😊
Thank you for this video!! Such a simple and efficient way to do drawer dividers. So great!! Thank you!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Many years ago I made dividers of hardboard for boxes/drawers, but for the whole depth. And I didn't attach the ends so it was
going everywhere. This is so much better. And the sliding box on top makes it perfect. I'm going to make this during the winter months.
These drawers are not only efficient but they are also easy on eyes 👍🤣❤
Great video. Exactly what I was looking for to organize my shop and even a few kitchen drawers.
funky idea using the tape and multiple pieces
Thanks Marie, nicely done. Thanks for the inspiration!
Such a good demo video, merci bien! Loved the clear explanation, great visuals, the functionality of this drawer, and thank god for no music! Also the fact you are female, like me, and do serious DIY is a huge satisfaction and joy. Not many women do real DIY, so it is encouraging to see.
I have to do this to so many drawers at home and in my RV. Lovely project. Many thanks!
I really like the "details" of what you did in this video. Thank you for sharing.
Tried this today with a slight twist for the kitchen utensil drawer and it worked brilliantly thank you so much.
Was asked by a friend to help make a shadow box for their wall with dividers to hold their small items for display. Your method of creating the dividers looks very doable - thanks for the tips!
Just getting ready for dividers for my campervan. Thanks for inspiration. 👍
Awesome work, Marie! Well done! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks for watching! All the best
These organizers look really beautiful and functional. Thank for sharing.
thats a smart thing to do adding a second level of storage.. I am for sure trying that.. thanks for the video
Thank you from the States. Southern Indiana here.
You got my like on the first seconds with the music when you opened the drawer !!!! nice project!
Nice draurs!
Thanks! You just made my woodworking life easier! Inspiring~
Food for thought! Love this!
Nice job on organizing the drawers Marie! Thank you for sharing with us!💖👍😎JP
Really nice job showing how anyone with a table saw and a relatively decent miter gauge can create a knockoff of this to fit their needs. Very clever how you did those notches. 👍
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, I am repurposing some old furniture for my workshop and it has drawers and I wanted to maximize the space. I started with your video and decided that this is the best option for myself, I watched others and you'd think they were making fine furniture and was so laborious with measuring, time laying everything out so meticulously. Your approach is short sweet and to the point. Thank you...new subscriber
for those magnetic screwdriver holders i recommend making some little wooden separators that you can glue on, stops all the screwdrivers sticking to each other
Thanks for the tip 👍
After a really hard day, your video was just what I needed to bring a smile to my face🙂. I like your content, and you always have good tips! You really are an inspiration. Keep up the great work!
Loved this vid. Was looking at purchasing an organizing solution from a local woodworking store but this is a good way to use up some scrap sheets I have. Feeds the DIY bug as well. Thanks for making these videos and keep up the good work.
I’ve been searching for something like this!! Perfect timing
This. I've been needing this so big thanks!
You bet!
What a great video! Thanks for sharing.
Aw this is fabulous I loved it
Great idea. I think I’ll do this to the “junk” drawer in the kitchen. Thanks.
Marie a great build and video! Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Thanks Marie for sharing your techniques. The sacrificial board on the miter gauge I had not thought of. I just realized this is a year old but I say droors and I thought the way you said drawers was the weird way until you pointed out you are just saying "draw" and "-er." Makes sense now.
Nice project i need some for my shop too thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
Great explanation, as always.
"Drar" cracks me up! Very nice build, though :D
I love your simple and effective method. You are going to help me greatly on my shop drawers project
Bravo, thanks for the idea.
great video! thanks for posting!
Super idea - going to try it for all my screws and bolts and other paraphernalia. Oh, and ‘drawer’ in Irish is ‘tarraiceán’ !!! 😉😊👏👏👏
Oh my, Your drawers sound like a tarantula in the ocean 😂
I say it sort of like "doors"... so, "droors?" Your way makes the most sense linguistically!
Hello from PEI, where we don't have accents, the rest of the world does! 😉. Love the videos, keep em coming. On a side note, around here, we pronounce "drawer" like you would say "door" only with an "R" added... so think "droor". 🙂
Awesome project
Nice job, excellent results.
Thanks
I love it! Great video...
Je viens de trouver mon projet pour cet apres-midi! Merci!
Super, enjoy!
Great video and tip... Thank you for sharing... 🤩🤩
Great video! I really loved the design.
i like this idea, im going to use this in my future works, thanks!
Italia bravissima e un bel 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍💯💯🙋♂️
Definitely like this adjustable design. Merci!
Thanks
Lindo trabalho. Parabéns!
Yet another thing I must build
Only made a workshop drawer unit last year & already the top 2 are a mess, so I need to do this, thanks 👍.
I know what you mean. They start out nice and isn't long before the clutter sets in.
Terrific job! I have been putting off this job for years. I guess I should really get off my butt and get to it, especially how easily you make it look. Thank you for sharing. Note: I would say drawer as: "drore", but that's just me! LOL!
Outstanding guide, thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
Nice work! Improved organization is always good.
THANKS!
This gives me a great idea for my train storage, great video
Great video I’ll be using this idea
Awesome glad you like it
Excellent!!!!
Well done!!
Very, nicely done
Gracias! simple and easy for me! very useful!
I was commenting on how much I love Tamar's pronunciation (I'm a woodworker and a linguist :) ) in a video where she pointed out that people comment on it, and your pronunciation sounds quite similar to hers. Wouldn't surprise me if New York and Montreal have some shared accent features. Also, love the simple project--if I get around to putting drawers in my shop, those will be included.
Ha well, now I'm confused! I always thought her pronunciation was a little funny, more like draws- You know that New York accent ;) But maybe us north easterners do share something in common :)
In Midwest US we typically pronounce Drawer similar to Door. Think Door and Droor.
Nice job on the droors!
Oh my
My three kitchen junk drawers are going to meet their maker. 😉
Easy to follow video thank you 🇨🇦
Great video! Loved it so much I saved it in organization and woodworking!
I'm thinking to show it to my grandson to see if he wants to make Christmas gifts for his folks. If we added more notches it would be readily customizeable.
I've learnt a lot from you today. thank you
This is great ¡¡¡¡ Thanks for sharing
cool, thanks for the video, i am definitely doing this. i like the built process
Awesome video! THANK YOU! :)
Ottimo direi!!!!
Thanks, grate idea for organizing draws and clear informative video
Just recently found you and enjoying your content!
I had a tray organizer I was going to make... then lost it lol. I'm glad cause I like yours better!
Thank you, keep up the great work and have fun!
😁
Really nice job
Très intéressant. Merci.
brilliant!
Thanks for great content
Love this …😊
Got a "bang" the way you pronounced "drawer," until I realized my southern accent renders it "drohr!" btw, loved your video!!
awesome!
Beau video!! Merci :)
I was going to comment a new drinking game....everytime she says "draywerrs" but then you brought it up 5:50 lol. love this organization idea. keep up the good work
