  • Get your drawers organized! In this workshop drawer organization video I’m making simple drawer dividers with an upper level sliding tray for extra storage. Adding drawer organizers actually makes drawers bigger and you can easily find what you’re looking for.

Nice project as usual! Seriously, the word "drawer' is a very odd word, indeed, in the English language. I would like to see those who are so amused attempt to pronounce "tiroir," just for laughs. Perhaps you and Tamar could do a joint presentation on the various, legitimate variations of the word and comments you have recevied!

    • @dangkolache

lol I was going to mention Tamar's "draws"

@@DIYMontreal personally I didn’t notice how you said it. Sounded fine. But then again I’m from California and we say fur instead of for so maybe I’m a little desensitized 🤣😂🤣

@@lindewoodworking Fur sure! 😉 I used to live in Tucson as a kid, and we borrowed a lot of Valley. I'm in WI now, and we say drawers like "doors" ("droors"--yikes! 😂😂😂).

I've been making a Sewing desk for my wife and when I finished the drawers... well it was just a big box with a lot of room. Your "You Tube" was great about making inserts and slider within the drawer... just before the build I went to Rockler "Black Friday deal" and bought a Bessey 90 Angle Clamp that really made the build so much easier. Just wanted to thank you for a great video... I watched you video on making the desk top and how you brought the desk top up to the room where the desk was to be placed. Last year I had a leak in my ceiling in the Kitchen... and watching a guy from the West Coast about plastering I came across "Zip Wall System" I put this up in the kitchen made the repair no dust got out "and there was a lot of it" got out into the kitchen or the rest of the house. Anyway food for thought I enjoy your "You Tubes" keep up the good work!

You are a genius, the straw trick saves so much messing about removing squeeze out, I am in your debt! BTW I like the way you say drawer, it's understandable and a little different to the way we pronounce it in Australia and that gives variety and interest. Who wants to live in a world where everyone says and does things exactly the same way? We would never end up with things like the straw trick. Cheers from your friend in Aus!

Hello from Toronto, and a big thank you for this thorough and easy to follow tutorial. Both my Dad and husband are carpenters with great skills and fancy tools but neither one of them would make a drawer organizer, because they are waaaay to busy with their work. I'm not a carpenter and I don't have fancy tools, but I have lots of cardboard boxes in the basement. Guess where I'm heading next ? And since I'm a girly girl, I will cover my beautiful drawer organizer with pink craft paper 😊😊😊Again, thank you kindly for showing me how to build an organizer.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Many years ago I made dividers of hardboard for boxes/drawers, but for the whole depth. And I didn't attach the ends so it was
going everywhere. This is so much better. And the sliding box on top makes it perfect. I'm going to make this during the winter months.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video, I am repurposing some old furniture for my workshop and it has drawers and I wanted to maximize the space. I started with your video and decided that this is the best option for myself, I watched others and you'd think they were making fine furniture and was so laborious with measuring, time laying everything out so meticulously. Your approach is short sweet and to the point. Thank you...new subscriber

I was commenting on how much I love Tamar's pronunciation (I'm a woodworker and a linguist :) ) in a video where she pointed out that people comment on it, and your pronunciation sounds quite similar to hers. Wouldn't surprise me if New York and Montreal have some shared accent features. Also, love the simple project--if I get around to putting drawers in my shop, those will be included.
