I feel you. I really miss the big heal from a AoE Drain Life. The new reusable health stones and the bigger Dark Pact shield helps ease the pain. It's super important to kite, port, gateway, fear, coil, shadowfury, to slow damage. When you run out and get caught, pair Soulburn Hearthstone with Dark Pact to make your shield absorb almost 1 million extra damage (almost 6 million shield, I think).
Thank you so much for this guide, I'll try it later today. My first love is demo and I'll probably keep using that in world PvP but I want to climb up the ladder and affliction is the best way to go.
@@cin7194 I still went for 4 set for a few reasons. Keep in mind that I mostly RBG/Blitz and don't do much arena. 1.) At the end of the game, Agony and Corruption make up a large portion of my damage. I hate getting gapped by another Lock, so I'll take anything that helps prevent that. I would take an 8% increase on Agony/Corruption damage if it were a talent choice, so getting it from 4 set makes sense to me. 2.) The stats on the Chest, Legs, and Shoulders are fantastic. The only questionable piece is the gloves. If I were focused on Arena, I would probably run 2 set and take more Vers, since you're always the punching bag in 3s. But in RBG/Blitz I take less damage and have more room to kite. There are more obstacles to kite around. You can abuse cliffs and find other height advantages to take less damage.
ty for the thorough guide, SUPER helpful. You mentioned crafting the dagger, ring, waist and helmet but we only get 9 purple heraldries. Are you suggesting we spend our conquest points on heraldries instead of buying conquest and bloodytoken pieces and just crafting most of our gear? Im kind of confused
@@spideysense1847 Yep! Pretty much. The conquest heraldries for crafting costs the same amount of conquest as it would be to buy the item. Of course crafting costs gold for the extra materials, but then you get to decide the secondary stats. The only conquest items I won't craft will be the items I need to covert to tier, or unless I decide I need more Vers.
@@trimurtyom They are weak auras. I made them myself. I would share, but I'm camping untill Monday. I also don't know the best way to share that giant block of text to you lol.
Would it be suboptimal to craft two rings and a belt with the forged glad tokens and then farm forged honor tokens to craft the wep for the embellishment?
I would say you should be fine. In the end, it won't really matter since we'll all end up with the same gear eventually. I have 1 friend that did what you said. But I think people are starting with crafting the conquest weapon first because it gets expensive between the mats and the good enchant. The embellishment isn't too pricey. Also remember that unless you PvE, you can buy the cheapest materials. Just get the good quality missive and enchant. The cheapest embellishment works the same too.
Actually, I could have been wasting gold this whole time on the most expensive missive. If so, I may have just wasted 60k gold. I don't know if I'm willing to test that with a lesser quality missive though.
Thank you again for helping me get green fire all those years ago with your low ilevel guide video
Holy moly i never thought i'd see this channel uploading again.
Me too!
As an affliction warlock I have never felt squishier than I have this expansion/season… feels almost mage like squishy.
