Thats actually really smart of evolution. By appearing as its preys natural food, the locust is much more likely to approach a mantis that resembles a leaf.

Because matises are carnivores and they can even eat bigger things like lizards(bite them or even eat them). The locust he is eating are herbivores and can’t protect thereselves so it is very easy for mantises to eat them
I think his point was, the locust is bigger than him, or around the same size, yet somehow ate him. Where did all that go? It’s just like a human eating another human the same size. We can’t do that, because our stomach would literally burst.

It's crazy, that locust is actually big in proportion and it's legs can generate massive forces for jump and flight, but idk what happened there, it's amazing.
