I agree with Lotus here. I just want to say that this game from all the info/details we got and know so far, this game already has more care and passion put into it compared to the other past arena fighters. The fact that that we got the manga author himself involved, Tite Kubo supervising the game so that the story can be as manga accurate as it can possibly be and the sound composer for the game, Takeharu Ishimoto, who's mostly known for his work making the soundtracks for game series like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. At the end of the day with these anime games the most important thing is that they look cool, and feel good. I think so many of these newer games failed because they just stopped looking good because they pumped them out so fast to keep up with the shows running. I don't think Bleach has to worry about that so much because it's long running a popular so they might not have rushed it. It already looks cool so it's half way there. And arena fighters got flouty for some reason and it doesn't look like that either. Bleach deserves a new game and Bleach enjoyers are used to dealing with some hate so the hype isn't just gonna die no matter how mad arena fighters make people just on principle.

To me arena fighters are just fan service games. They aren’t bad but people expect them to have an actual competitive scene. These games are group setting party games.
Super excited for the console bleach game but I fear it may play blocky. Definitely would’ve taken a warrior styled bleach game that goes to the end of fullbring
I personally like the clash of Ninja series over the Ninja Storm games. Like ninja storm is a better game overall, but i find myself going back to clash of ninja the most
@@owlflame I think if you aren’t really that into rpgs the game feels kind of hollow, which I understand. RPGS are my favorite genre of games so it’s easy for me to get into one, even if it’s pretty average overall
Bleach being an arena fighter or not isn't really my issue with the game's development or future. I merely hope it's fun, looks beautiful, feels smooth, prospers and gets the support it deserves as Bleach title after release. Personally, I have beef with Tamsoft. Not only because of the quality of the PC port of Melty Blood, but because of how they also treated the anime soccer game Captain Tsubasa. Captain Tsubasa is a game that plays great, has fantastic pve and was nice in pvp, however whenever issues popped up such as a couple of characters needing tweeking for the sake of the game's community, along with the actual connection of the game itself that literally kept us from playing with friends, it didn't get fixed until literally 8 months later. Essentially when we needed the devs the most, they vanished. Senran Kagura, also is admittedly fun, has shit connection and absolutely no continued support outside of getting another game a year after the next with the exact same problems. All of that aside, I hope tamsoft gives it the support it needs, when it needs it for everyone's sake.
I always took it more as there are a bunch of arena fighter anime games (trash or not) that have come out and it's starting to feel oversaturated similar to games as a service/multiplayer focus going on in the industry.
I really appreciate that you went out of your way to actually try out a game to see what the company's past work was like. I'm personally optimistic, but that's because I just like bleach
honestly thanks for making this. I'll say that cautiously optimistic is the best way to put it too. I'll admit sparking zero looks pretty good, but the past projects that the devs have done gives cause for concern. It really is a bit disheartening when i see others cover and go "Hmm well i really do think this part could be better- but DAMN IT LOOKS SO GOOD!" and i'm just here like, but what was that about the actual criticism to improve the game? Something looking good only does so much. As the only way to learn about the game right now being an outsider listening to the select few who have had access to it, hearing what sounds like fan boys falling into the same trap of the selling point being to play their favorite characters in an arena fighter is just a little disheartening. probably a pessimistic mindset but i can't believe that everything is nearly flawless. i've seen a few criticisms for sure but it really is a few. Could just be too little time spent on it. Maybe them sticking so close to Tenkaichi 3 combat was the right play and there truly isn't much to worry about. hopefully they can come out with an actual demo to try out on console or something for the public to try as a whole.
Im very excited. I think there are reasons to think they would be able to make a good game. Im optimistic, but trying to always keep my feet in the ground. Im also thinking, if this game sells well, that could be the opening for more Bleach games. And my personal dream here would be a DMC style high quality Bleach game. Lets see
@@WickedFninja yeah it would be so sick, but its a higher risk from devs and shareholders standpoint, so I agree with their decision of making an Arena Fighter "first" (at least judging by what we now know). I hope it all goes well so different games could come out
I hope this can be a competitive arena fighter like Tenkaichi 3/Sparking Zero. That's the best type of game for BLEACH in my opinion. I hope for the best.
It's not that I think Arena fighters are bad. They're just not to the level of traditional fighting games to me use to play BT3, but after that no more after I started playing dighting games more. Fun as they are for some whenever I see it's an arena fighter they are less balance and lose fun for me. Gundam vs is like the only competitve one the fgc like. Can that change sure, but haven't found one yet to where an arena fighter can enter the hardcore dighting game scene yet other than gundam vs.
People quickly dunked on this because of the “arena fighter” thing but those examples were ass. Bleach is too much of a legendary series to be given the cursed clash treatment. Would a fighterz treatment be better? Sure then people would complain “it’s another fighterz clone ugh” then again people complain about everything. If you’re a bleach fan at the very least you should be hyped, the last legit fighting game bleach had was on the Wii so it’s take what we can get 🤣 but if it sucks, you guys better let them know. JJK can fail who cares, Bleach tho? Hell no. Hopefully Tokyo Game Show has more info on it, how online combat looks like, Ui, roster expectations which I assume 100+ considering we going from episode 1 to the Quincy Arc. Less than 50 it’s DOA straight up, you gotta have everyone in this bitch even Kon Ichigo lol. I just want that beautiful PS5 box art on my shelf. A new Bleach fighting game…goddamn we made it
Theres def potential with anime arena fighters. If a renown studio gets a good enough budget and plenty of time to cook I think they could make a banger
Battle shounens like bleach, and Naruto can't really be at the best in different genres. I'm not saying that they can't try, but it won't be at it's highest
Bro I'm really excited, and i really hope it turns out to be good. But maybe it's because I'm a bleach fiend🤷♂️. That being said, I agree with most of what you've said here, but I do think that kakarot was a decent game(just ok tho)
Talking about good anime games, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3. No lie, it got me back into One Piece after years. Goes from the very beginning to the start of Dressrosa. Honestly, if the new Bleach game turns out to not be an arena fighter and more of a Hack and Slash or Musou game, Im 100% in.
As someone who has (unashamedly) played most of the Senran Kagura games, it really is somewhat of a mixed bag imo. Estival Versus is what it is, I think it's fairly solid. Movement wise, I think Burst Re:Newal is better but I also think I just like the gameplay of Estival more. The best game in some aspects by far for me is Peach Beach Splash, especially since it's so fast and high octane action, but it is also a third person shooter so some elements might not carry over to Bleach. I kinda just ignore Neptunia x Senran Kagura because a lot of things felt not really good in that game and I really hope the only thing they take from that game is the clean animations. I definitely like the gameplay of the series, so learning that Tamsoft is behind Bleach makes me a bit more optimistic for it, I just hope they can take all of the good aspects of those games and proceed to make something even better with them. Also when the hell they gonna drop Senran Kagura 7even
The sucky thing is that just purely on gameplay this game has a chance to not be good. Because even seeing what we've seen so far everything else is gonna be good: Graphics, music, cutscenes, content. At the very least even if this doesn't match up to dragonball games and the early storm games theres no way it can be lumped in with cursed clash and the one punch man game cause it has one thing they don't. Passion. The guy who did the guitar for the trailer song is the actor for byakuya in the live action movie. Kubo and the anime studio are involved with production. It's had at least 2 years of production. And the dude who's composing the ost has a damn strong resume. Even the trailer is super artsy. Only the gameplay is a big question mark and its make or break for the game.
If people are really feening for a "real" anime fighting game like they claim people will show out for HxH Nen Impact. Before anyone brings it up yeah I'm obviously aware of the visuals, but whenever people complain about arena fighters they always speak on it from the angle of mechanical depth, and if Nen Impact ends up being as grimy as any other versus fighter I hope those people put their money where their mouth is. Cause that's what they want (allegedly)
It's unfortunate the only 2D anime game since fighterz has the budget of 10 pennies. If it had bandai budget more casuals probably would've be on board
@@kei7540 For sure, but also it begs the question if visuals are the first priority before mechanics/gameplay are would arena fighters be okay for those players as long as it's CC2 quality visuals?
While me, I want a Kakarot style RPG game for Bleach. But, I'm glad we're getting a Bleach game. And bruh, how did you not like Kakarot. I thought it was amazing.
I said it before and I'll say it again: We need a Bleach character creator(not a Bleach Xenoverse-), like give us something like that for Bleach and One Piece
Not gonna lie I am a little bit worried about this game probably do to Naruto storm connections and jujutsu kaisen. But Bleach deserves to have the same treatment that sparking zero is having because they haven’t had a console game in a while.
My biggest issue with Arena Fighters is that frequently characters are scaled to their anime power levels. You can see this in the old Tenkaichi games, or the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games. This means that over half of the roster is unplayable because they're so insanely weak compared to the main cast. Sure some weak characters might have a cheese move or something but generally speaking if you pick your favorite character isn't a main hero or villain you basically lose at the selection screen. 2D fighters are often way more balanced, or at least aren't intentionally unbalanced.
Don’t worry lotus I’m ten toes down on the kakarot hate with you , even when I got it on sell I couldn’t bring myself to finish , couldve used that 20$ on McDonald’s or sum 😭😭
I'm a fan and for sure I am excited, also the bleach games on DS are great for what their worth. Expectations are neutral with me, do I want it to be good? Absolutely, but if it's not incredible, I appreciate the attempt of a console since the last one was on the PS3. It's how I feel about the Hunter x Hunter game as well. I think I'm more excited for the variety of anime games than anything else.
Brother, just keep it a buck or be more real with yourself. Anime arena fighters are BAD with the exception of the Tenkaichi series and the storm series. Those are the only 2 that did it right/well and the main reason Sparking Zero has the hype it does is because it's basically another Tenkaichi which we know means we finally get a other installment of one of the only 2 good anime arena fighters. All we've gotten was storm for the past 15 years and most people who played both find Tenkaichi to be superior to storm from a gameplay and mechanic standpoint.. That being said, I am also hyped for what this bleach game could be but my expectations will be tempered simply because it's an anime arena fighters that isn't storm or Tenkaichi and they barely showed us any gameplay? Seems pretty fair to think there's a strong possibility this could be another awful anime arena flop...
The only thing that can save arena fighters is good online and the anime community wont even ask for that so yeah theres not really much hope of them being seen as legit or competitive until that is there
I don't care! I am excited! I LOVE BLEACH!! I just wish they would allow you to make your own character. I love that. Like Xenoverse. (I enjoyed Jump Force. It was fun.*
I picked up estival versus and the one that's a remake of the first senran kagura game a couple of years ago moreso as a joke because I had seen them on RUclips and thought they were hilariously overly horny games. However, I am a huge fan of Hack n' slash / musou games like the Warrior's series and Devil May Cry so I also went through that same mindset where I was like "this game is ridiculous buuuuut the gameplay is actually pretty well made
Demon slayer was hella fun. The gameplay was a lot better than storm but damn the online was bad. So much input delay was baked in when you went online and ranked was stuck on 30 fps because of the ps4 version and there were no lobbies at launch. I'd probably put up with bad online if the game was baded on a different series like Bleach
Everyone needs to watch this video my god. People act like Arena Fighters are just awful. Hop off Shinobi Striker tho that game is actually really fun and hella successful too
Last bleach game was in 2011 and it was a musou (no disrespect to that game or genre, I just want a Bleach Fighting game first and foremost) While I want this game to be peak, I really don't care as I just want a modern Bleach Fighting game and this game is giving us that All this to say, this is something I've been waiting for and there are zero modern console Bleach Fighting games and this is the only one that will exist so im buying this immediately Db games are a dime a dozen, bleach games are a rarity
Always wanted a arena fighting bleach game kakarot is bad cause of super armor sadly also storm connections was boring and bad bar minimum new stuff its just copypaste
How much will you be streaming that HxH game when it releases? It seems to be the ideal game people talk about wanting so I hope it sells well enough with the others.
Arena fighters are a genre of game that have suffered a lot more abuse with constant, horrendous, cash grab releases. Sparking Zero is clearly a game that is raising the bar for the genre and hopefully Tamsoft will feel the pressure to compete through Rebirth of Souls.
It doesn't look DOA which is what you can pretty much tell from arena fighters for the first trailer. The graphics look good just need to see solid gameplay now and a concrete number on characters cos an arena fighter with less then 30 on launch is not enough...
Saying shinobi striker is bad is a little rough since it’s still getting updates and has the most alive community when it comes to Naruto. Shinobi striker may not be for you but it’s definitely not a bad game in my opinion. Shinobi striker has become the xenoverse of Naruto and is super smooth honestly. Combos are pretty unique and the move differences is super good. When it comes to a fighting game you have to analyze the game itself. And the game itself is very much alive and still getting updates with new characters, new weapons, custom combos, new maps and a decent bit of customization. And it runs pretty smooth and combos go pretty smooth too. Edit: However, Shinobi striker has been changing and becoming pretty rough as some of the best looking stuff is locked behind rng and are broken. There’s still stuff it needs to fix but it’s honestly a very good game. And if you like storms movement, shinobi striker has really good movement once you learn it and put time into it like most fighting games
@@LotusAsakura it’s definitely iffy right now and not at the best when it comes to gameplay due to them adding in ss+ items that are super cool and give us amazing custom combos but their super hard to get and it’s gacha. Plus the Naruto claw one just gave people a one button infinite so. The game is definitely not the best right now for sure
it's not really an arena fighter, arena fighters are usually seen as games like the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Series, My Hero One's Justice, Jump Force,(and I think Tekken but idk bout that).
@@sleepylmguy9968 Personally I think it's maps are too big to be a "arena fighter" but that's just me. I honestly don't know what to call it but a big arena fighter.
Won't lie Shinobi strikers is defo one of the best anime games we've gotten like It started off completely ass don't get me wrong but when season 2 started it got way better and now we are even getting maps and (I think new game modes)and it's very addictive but season 1 of shinobi is what killed it for alot of people
@@00pium_D3vil …… when was the last time xenoverse 2 or fighterz added a new mode? Games can still be good and hold a player base without adding modes, maps i can agree but i mean its an overwatch style naruto game i dont think maps are a priority when they had like 7 at launch
I stopped playing strikers a long time ago, but I'd sound dumb if I said that strikers wasn't a good game. Clearly, there's a community for it, and it's alive and well.
I agree with all the points, but the Kakarot slander is still crazy to me after all these years. I can see it not being peoples favorite game, but it's far from being bad, let alone the worst Dragon Ball game(Legacy of Goku 2, and Buu's Fury are beloved, but the first one is ass, and there's some other pretty dog shit DB Games).
Legacy of Goku, for it's time, is a fine game. It might be hard to go back to but I would still rather play it for nostalgia than play Kakarot today. LoG II & Buu's Fury are head & shoulders above for sure though.
@@LotusAsakura I agree that for it's time the first LoG was fine, but I'm just saying Kakarot was built better to where even if a decade down the line it's not looked back on as the absolute best DB Game(because it's definitely not), it will at least not fall of nearly as much as LoG1.

Kill La Kill is such an underrated and overlooked arena fighter. Crazy movement and you can actually Anti-Air! Lol
Super excited for the console bleach game but I fear it may play blocky. Definitely would’ve taken a warrior styled bleach game that goes to the end of fullbring
I personally like the clash of Ninja series over the Ninja Storm games. Like ninja storm is a better game overall, but i find myself going back to clash of ninja the most
7:02 I have a strong suspicion that Lotus will one day pick up Kakarot again and say, "Wow, this game is actually pretty good/fun! _😀_ "
I feel like he hasn’t given it enough of a real shot yet- I was unimpressed for the first couple hours then started really messing with it after that
@@ndalt490 i started messing with it after they added the hard difficulty it was too easy on release ngl
@@Jullsfr yea true
You can’t pay me to pick that game up again. I have no idea what other people see in it…
@@owlflame I think if you aren’t really that into rpgs the game feels kind of hollow, which I understand.
Actually on the note of connection, wasn't Captain Tsubasa the first anime game to get rollback? (It didn't work well but still)
@@Cam10_84 I don't recall it having rollback. Like you said it was bad either way, but I'm pretty sure it was delayed base
I always took it more as there are a bunch of arena fighter anime games (trash or not) that have come out and it's starting to feel oversaturated similar to games as a service/multiplayer focus going on in the industry.
Something to keep in mind is that Kubo has spilled the bean about a Bleach console game being in the work since 2022.
@Te.ll.e-lotusasakura oh boy what an opportunity!
Afro put me on to Senran Kagura yearssss ago and to hear you talking about it after some time feels like it came full circle.😂
This game did survive the apparent house cleaning Bamco made post their poor financial results so, i guess, we can hope?
Im very excited. I think there are reasons to think they would be able to make a good game. Im optimistic, but trying to always keep my feet in the ground.
Im also thinking, if this game sells well, that could be the opening for more Bleach games. And my personal dream here would be a DMC style high quality Bleach game. Lets see
Yo you might have something there w that DMC idea👀 I would have definitely taken that if it wasn't a versus fighting game
@@WickedFninja yeah it would be so sick, but its a higher risk from devs and shareholders standpoint, so I agree with their decision of making an Arena Fighter "first" (at least judging by what we now know). I hope it all goes well so different games could come out
All I know is I’m maiming Soifon no matter what idk what the reviews are I’m playing this shit
I hope this can be a competitive arena fighter like Tenkaichi 3/Sparking Zero. That's the best type of game for BLEACH in my opinion.
I hope for the best.
The thumbnail 😂
It's not that I think Arena fighters are bad. They're just not to the level of traditional fighting games to me use to play BT3, but after that no more after I started playing dighting games more. Fun as they are for some whenever I see it's an arena fighter they are less balance and lose fun for me.
Gundam vs is like the only competitve one the fgc like. Can that change sure, but haven't found one yet to where an arena fighter can enter the hardcore dighting game scene yet other than gundam vs.
dope video overall
Also when the hell they gonna drop Senran Kagura 7even
I hope this is what Kill la Kill if was supposed to be
I just need to see gameplay
You know I hate how much I played bbtag to the point I saw the animations for the senran kagura game and thought “oh he’s playing estival versus” 💀
It would be cool if this game played like jojo asbr
I am excited for that
I will work hard to bring back the senran kagura game
While me, I want a Kakarot style RPG game for Bleach. But, I'm glad we're getting a Bleach game.
And bruh, how did you not like Kakarot. I thought it was amazing.
Isn't this a remake of the PS3 game? There was a Bleach Musou style that we sadly didn't really get much of over here
Nahh this is an entirely new game.
The beat movement in 3d fighters has always been 8way run from Soul Caliber. Also published by Bandai. Please gimme 8 way run 😭
Damn....only today did I hear Black Clover got a game...rip...love that show...guess it's a good thing I hadn't heard about it
Shinobi strikers is actually pretty fun
Tenkachi series has the best movement in the genre imo storm definitely a close second
I said it before and I'll say it again: We need a Bleach character creator(not a Bleach Xenoverse-), like give us something like that for Bleach and One Piece
Off topic but where’d you get the shirt from? 😅
There’s another Bleach game coming out on Mobile called Soul Resonance it looks really good
Hopefully this game comes out on switch
Not gonna lie I am a little bit worried about this game probably do to Naruto storm connections and jujutsu kaisen.
But Bleach deserves to have the same treatment that sparking zero is having because they haven’t had a console game in a while.
Hope it play like clash of ninja
That would be SICK but I highly doubt that it will.
Nah I love the senran kagura games, I get every one when they first drop. Ryobi FTW!
I was so pissed when shinobi striker came out. I played it 1 time and never looked back
I'm a fan and for sure I am excited, also the bleach games on DS are great for what their worth.
One piece pirate warriors series is pretty good so is that recent one piece rpg tbh one piece has pretty decent to good games
Hop off Shinobi Striker tho that game is actually really fun and hella successful too
Last bleach game was in 2011 and it was a musou (no disrespect to that game or genre, I just want a Bleach Fighting game first and foremost)
While I want this game to be peak, I really don't care as I just want a modern Bleach Fighting game and this game is giving us that
All this to say, this is something I've been waiting for and there are zero modern console Bleach Fighting games and this is the only one that will exist so im buying this immediately
Db games are a dime a dozen, bleach games are a rarity
If you dont make videos with Globku on this i WILL riot
Always wanted a arena fighting bleach game kakarot is bad cause of super armor sadly also storm connections was boring and bad bar minimum new stuff its just copypaste
I wish we could get anime platform fighters
I’d rather be optimistic until it proves me wrong Bleach has the least Console games out of the old gen I’m SWIPING my CARD 🤣🤣
Bleach has more games than Inuyasha and Hunter X Hunter
@@ChillDeathgod when I say old gen im mainly talking about the Big 3 and dragon ball 🤣🤣
I get a dragon ball Kararot vibes for this game rather then a arena fighter
The game is still getting support and that's cool for the people who play it but I personally do not think it is a well made (or fun) game.
Didn’t Sparking Zero already saved the arena fighter genre?
it's not really an arena fighter, arena fighters are usually seen as games like the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Series, My Hero One's Justice, Jump Force,(and I think Tekken but idk bout that).
@@BlxnkSpaceWhat you mean Sparking Zero isn’t an Arena Fighter? Then what is it?
Sparking zero and most dragon ball games will do well by fan service alone

Saying Kakarot is the worst dragonball game when sagas ultimate tenkaichi and daiketsu exist is wild lol
Kakarot's gameplay being as bad as it is in TODAY'S age is far worse than games being released 20 years ago and not being good lol.

I like arena fighters if done right
