New to your channel.. very happy watching the video... I love recipes that can be made by hand, sometimes it's just more enjoyable.. love your make ahead mixes..
Just a suggestion on the 'expensive' Tasty cheese. I used to think this too, but since converting to Tasty and Parmesan cheeses I've realised that I can get a superior flavour whilst using quite a lot less cheese. I used to grate on heaps of cheese to get that golden cheesy topping, but am happier now with a sprinkling. that still gives a real (and deeper) cheesy flavour without excess. I'm sure I'm saving $$$ cos I use so much less and it lasts ages (Just have to watch out for the predatory teenager grandson :). Also means fat and calorie counts are slashed too.
I have never thought of grating the butter! Such a good idea! Everything looked delicious! I prefer scones a bit smaller. The carrot cake looked like it came from a bakery! I make vanilla butter cream for my carrot cakes! They would be great as muffins or cupcakes too!
Alice: everything looks so good. I always add two cups of flour to my carrot cake. Our dehydrated veggies always rehydrate. Love the look of the scones. Thank you! They will be handy mixes.
Wow this is such an informative video, love the folding of the baking paper trick and love all the goodies you made and love that blank stare 😅reminds me of myself. I hope your back is less sore. Thanks for sharing your skills ❤ appreciate you ❤
Hi Stacy, been watching and enjoying yr channel for sometime now, love the Mac cheese and the mustard...great. my auusie family love pancakes and hoping to get your recipe for them and they can make pancakes to their hearts delight while they are here. Thankyou
Hello Christine, It was so lovely to hear from you. I am currently editing the website and was just finishing up the pancakes. My internet has just gone down. 😒 it won't be much longer. I promise 😀 I will make sure to let you know when shortly. Thanks for your support.
@1nicenurse I'm so sorry I never got back to posting it. I will go and write it up in the description now for you. Thank you for reaching out and reminding me. I'm currently developing a brand new, easier to follow website. I will make sure to add it there as well.
In your opinion Stacey is it just traditional to make round scones? If it doesn't matter to the texture or taste to be more time efficient to make a square or rectangle dough and have square scones. My grandmother (a dairy farmer's wife) was a champion scones maker and I think she just used flour and salt and cream. Cream was plentiful, she always had a bowl of milk sitting for the cream to rise.
My mother and grandmother, both professional cooks, made savoury scones in triangles and sweet or plain ones intended for jam, in rounds so you could tell the difference. Nothing worse than strawberry jam on cheese scones. Ggg
Giddy. New subscriber here can I ask what brand the Chocolate Chips are please as haven’t seen anything like them in my Woollies or Cole’s. started at your first post from 2 years ago this arvo.
Hey had a thought with the choc chip bikkies... you could put glad wrap or greaseproof paper between the layers and bunch it all before you close the lid 👍

Great tip for grating butter and cheese. I always grated butter for scones and pastry but never thought of dipping into the flour. Many 👍

Thank you for the videos and written recipes . Greatly appreciated . Everything turned out lovely .
My pleasure 😊
Amazing as always
I use dairy free margerine in my scones and they are wonderfully fluffy & goldren. Dont have to freeze anything, dont need to dress it.
I used to make them with no butter or marg as well at a child care center. Such a forgiving thing scones.
You could just add sugar in a zip lock bag
Don’t like getting sticky hands with scones but hubby still likes my date scones, learning lots even at my age lol
One of my husband's favorite too.
Hi can I use dried onions in the cheese & onion scones and how do I do that with liquid?
You,could put the sugar in a snap lock bag in the jar that’s what I have done before
Great idea

I guess you can make any shape you like, it's just always how I have done it :-)
Your grandmother's scones would have been the BEST

Would I be able to store unbaked cookie mixture in a log and freeze it, or would it be better to use the cookie scoop and flash freeze?
In a log is perfectly fine. I did it that way until I got the scoop. Then you just cut off what you need.
Giddy. New subscriber here can I ask what brand the Chocolate Chips are please as haven’t seen anything like them in my Woollies or Cole’s. started at your first post from 2 years ago this arvo.
I just brought them from woolies over here. so they are the woolies brand any type will do though.
Can I use buttermilk instead of water for the scones please.
Yes go for it :-)
WHAT IS ON TOP OF THE CARROT CAKE
Chopped apricots and walnuts I think, If I remember rightly.
Where do you get the ice cream scoop in NZ and what size Is yours?
I got mine from Moore Wilsons in the Wairarapa when I was visiting family. I'm not sure of the size though.
@@FarmersWifeHomestead the lovely Wairarapa ❤️
for the dairy free scones, do you omit the butter all together or can you add dairy free butter?
You don't have to use butter just use your choice of dairy-free milk.
