Your absolutely right Johnny, the Fiat AC 124 sport is an absolute beauty. They are a delight to drive. I bought my ‘69 Fiat AC 124 Sport back in 1980, and I still have it. The price on that car looks almost too cheap. I have mine insured now for $33k Aussie. At 17,000m from new that’s an awesome find. My AC has 105,000m from new and is restored with a full tan Connolly leather interior, plus some other enhancements. They are way rarer these days then the Alfa 105 coupe or even Lancia Fulvia, both competitors to the Fiat back in the day.

My heart jumped and memories came flooding back when I saw that Golf GTi Mk II in red, exactly like my old one... then I was amazed to see that Fiat 124 Coupe - I worked at Frank Cannetero Motors (Fiat, Alfa,Peugot) and I really wanted one, as we had gotten in a Red one that sat in the showroom for months. I was saving up, hoping to be able to place a down payment on it and then, it was sold to an ordinary customer. I was driving a Fiat 128 2 door at the time. I can't call that little box a coupe...which I unfortunately rolled while playing rally driver on icy roads. Then came a 124 Spider... and an X1/9...and a Peugot 504 Estate diesel that was a particularly nice car to drive, but so slow...eventually I left there driving an Alfa 2000 Spider. Lots of great memories of my first decade in the automobile business have come back, thanks to seeing these fine cars.

But now he’s got his own channel here doing his own thing I really appreciate even though our tastes differ, his obviously genuine passion makes him very easy and enjoyable to watch. Yet another great enjoyable video from you Jonny, presented in your usual relaxed & informed style. Thank you for focussing in on some of the more 'leftfield' choices of cars on offer - not that i'd expect anything different fom you. Looking at some of the completed listings from the auction it would appear that a lot of the cars did not meet the values that I think was being expected - many cars seem to sell for quite reasonable - more affordable prices. Choice cars for me would be the low mileage Saxo Vts (Despite being the phase 3 facelift with the weird 15" wheels with no centrecaps), the low mileage Puma 1.7, The MK2 barnfind Jag (I would love to keep it with the unrestored look, update/recommision the mechanicals) - but as a previous owner of a T3 Whitestar Multivan - the standout 'car' for me is that gorgeous Caravelle 😍

Hi Jonny. Some very nice stock . Is this your first coverage with this company ? And my goodness ! That 911 T sportomatic brought back some "unpleasant " memories . I restored a 1970 in around 1978 ish and it was very nearly as bad . You couldn't get parts back then so l handmade everything , bare metalled it , changed it from chocolate to silver and it was the first time l used Glasurit 54 line , to me still the best paint system ever. So the "albino" owner came to take the car and brought his loaded 12 bore shotgun in gratitude ! When a blind man with pink eyes looks you in the eyes with a loaded shotgun , you give him the keys ! Fortunately l only worked there so l still got paid ! And l repainted an exact copy of that Fiat 124 coupe in the early 1970 's . Thanks Jonny ......oh P.S ! I was threatened with a12 bore a few years later after repairing 2 identical Subaru estate cars for a couple of likely lads. I looked the one straight in the eyes and said " Go on then ! but l'm not leaving ' til you pay me ! " He started chuckling and said "You're one cool man and calmly took the cash out of his pocket , paid me and said what a great job l'd done and they both became long term customers ! Well neither of them were albino's with pink eyes so l knew l was safe !

I had a AX gti in red as my second car when I was 18!! Insurance wasn't that bad then... Loved the car I remember when my dad and I went to buy it and the guy selling it took us for a test drive.. He was the same age as my dad but clearly liked to drive fast... I came out with a massive smile on my face my dad on the other hand was white as a sheet😂 it was stolen from outside my flat in Llandudno and found in Liverpool a few weeks later totally stripped.. I was gutted.. I got my insurance money and bought a 405 mi16 then went back to saxo's with a vtr then 2x vts... Great little cars

Great vid. I was an early EV driver in 2011. Renault did about 7km/kwH. Now on an L322 4.4TDV8 (35mpg easily, 1000km range). Loved both for the very reasons you mention: silent EV (though the L322 is EV like), always full EV in the morning, cheap EV runs locally. L322 for the space, range and total lack of need for planning trips. Hardly ever experienced EV range anxiety: either make it easily, or do not start the trip (this was 2011: no fast charging and limited stations)
