I love the idea of dropping in the keyway something to make a ledge. I have tried picking a mortace with just wires and it's extremely difficult with so much movement. This idea you demonstrate here is really clever. I must give this a go. Just to add: There's something about the sound a mortace lock makes when you throw the bolt. 😁👍🏻Fantastic video Brummie.
very informative video as I've just started with mortice locks and have continuely struggled with the wires going everywhere so found this tip incredibly useful
@@BrummieLockPicker I definitely found it very helpful as being a newbie to Lever locks I had basically given up as found I had no control of the wires so will definitely give this tip ago
Great tip. Thankyou. I thought about putting two wires into a tube that fits in the keyhole before bending them as picks. I'm in the process of collecting metal wire coat hangers at the moment. They seem to be quite rare these days. I wonder if they've all wound up in pick kits!
Never tried to open a Mortice with two wires. Thanks for sharing your technique 👍🦊

Would this technique work on all types of lever locks or just mortice locks?
Cheers for watching mate 👍
It will only work on non curtain mortice locks
