I hate to point out the obvious, but for practical applications of this knowledge, the lock is going to be inside a door, surrounded by a whole lot of decorative material which acts as cowling. You've got the outer door handle's facia, then the wood of the door which can nearly be an inch deep before you get into the lock; then you've got possible guarding in the lock itself. It's very hard to get your tools in past all of this, and I for one, would love to see one do it.
Great video. What 5 lever mortice locks would you recommend for a front door? They have some 7 lever locks available as well, would you recommend them over a 5 lever ? Thank you. God bless 🙏
Some locks can be picked from both sides but the closer you get to the pivot point the harder they are to lift, in my experience it’s easier to lift the levers at the opposite end to the pivot point. I could not pick that Legge 3 lever lock from the other side
Thanks for showing us that. I'm sure the more experienced Lever lifters already know thus, but as a complete Lever novice I learned at lot. Cheers.
Cheers 🍻👍

Thanks for watching, yes I would go for a 7 lever one and I would get a Chubb but I’m not a locksmith so I would also get some professional advice 👍
Great information Brummie.
Question: So the first Legge you picked with 3 levers, you can still pick the levers from the side they pivot?
