I've saved your playlist and I periodically go back to your videos. They're so informative and I always learn a new thing every time! Cheers bro 👍✊

Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial video showing us how to effectively employ the Paveway 3 class GBU-24 laser-guided munition with the DCS F/A-18C.

Nice video. I've watched a few for this bomb and I was still a little bit confused about the launch acceptable region box. You explained it with one little tweak and now I understand why the box pops up where it does.

I am here because torniquet youtuber's version was way too fast. I like your pace and how you zoom in to explain everything. It really helps people who hasn't experienced these sims.

Subscribed!! Best tutorials I've seen yet for DCS. Saved all the F-16 tutorials for when I get around to that. Any chance you know how to RIO and would be interested in making tutorials for that?

I have done some flying and RIO in the F-14 but would need to skill up before attacking that one. Perhaps in the future :-)

i understand both modes and how they work but with PP mode I struggle to kinda understand the point? if I have a target I want to attack and I purposely want to attack from a certain heading, whats stopping me from just flying on that specific heading, locking the target and dropping with CLAR SL?

Perhaps for reasons of safe ingress/egress. Many guided weapons have this kind of functionality so I assume it's useful IRL.

I always thought that clouds would block the laser so the bomb couldn't home in on it. This might explain one bomb might have lost the laser and ended up missing.

Clouds impact the lasers performance although it's not necessarily a complete block.

The first bomb didnot miss. The TPOD changed target when it went from narrow to wide view. DCS = bugs

@@MarcTNL Well spotted. I've experienced a few of these strange bugs with the ATFLIR.

afaik clouds don't block lasers in DCS, it's not implemented yet™. but yeah it wasn't the brightest idea to select clouds for an LGB tutorial. Clouds are the enemy of LGBs, you need good weather over the target area. IRL they would have used JDAMs for stationary targets under these conditions.

if you're gonna do a :TUTORIAL" thn i'd strongly advise u to add HOW to AQUIRE a TARGET to bomb- which NOBODY has DONE in ANY tutorial VIDEO

Check out the playlist this video is a part of. I have tutorials covering the A/G radar and the ATFLIR targeting pod both of which can be used for the purpose. In future I'll have videos on the JHMCS and HUD as methods of acquisition also.
