Thanks for the video! Just some things I notice for future reference: - At 6:25, we can display the coordinates in precise mode for the whole system (FLIR, JDAM display, HSI) by going into the HSI DATA page, and box the PRECISE button. - For multiple JDAM TOO, currently at this date, a JDAM station can receive the current target designation as its coordinate, this means we can either use Markpoints designation, waypoint designation, radar designation or TPOD / ATFLIR designation directly to transfer the current target coordinates to the current JDAM station. Edited: @6:17, we can change the coordinates display to show seconds instead of decimal for the whole system, so the coordinates in the TGP / ATFLIR will look exactly the same as the ones in the JDAM station (press the LATLN DCML button in the HSI -> DATA -> A/C page)
As an aside it looks like the ability to have multiple TOOs set without using markpoints is coming back in the next Hornet update (it's been broken for a while) :-( What camera view are you using to chase the ordnance in and then stop short of the target?
Great video but my issue is with the whole concept of getting multiple target coordinates for multiple weapons from the TGP as you're approaching the target. In a multiplayer session there's no active pause so you have a number of things to do, which can't be done until you are close enough to identify bits on the ground. If the area has surface to air defenses, you're adding more and more risk the closer you get. Which is why I like pre-planned with target coordinates programmed before takeoff. In that case, of course, unless it's a building, the target may move before you get there. Overall I'm liking JSOW where, I'd assume, you can get coordinates in the radar from much farther out ( high resolution radar map). And of course release the JSOWs from 30+ miles out.
Very true. If I had to do this in realtime then I would probably quickly create mark points using the TGP for all the targets. Fly outbound while I program everything and then come back for release.
yeah PP is best for static targets. But for TOO, you can make the process quicker by designate the targets when the MSN screen is up for each station, this way you don't need to create markpoints. It's the same as the F-15E TOO target transfer. Edited: "make the process quicker by designate the targets directly through the ATFLIR without using markpoints"
This is the part that confuses me about these videos... Why not designate the targets straight into each bomb instead of marking the points? Seems like less work. I'm a newbie , gonna try it later today @@leminh111a
when i press dms up (sensor select) to make hud soi is that correct? then i use my helmet to mark ground with depress button. If i press depress again it doesn't unlock TGP, how do i do that with the fa 18. im from the viper

Thank you ever so much for an amazing lesson! Really helped me to underestand how JADAM TOO delivery works!❤
Thank you for taking the time to make this DCS F/A-18C JDAM Target of Opportunity delivery mode tutorial video for us Deephack.
I just watched your video, thanks for an excellent lesson!!! it was what I needed to understand!
Another very usefull video and very well made. Your channel is a jem! God bless You Deephack! Greetings from France ^^
Cracking stuff as always thank you Sir !!

Can you hit all 4 targets with a single salvo in TOO mode? If so, how would you do that instead of using Mark 1-4?
I'll need to revisit this and check. When I was making this video that function was not available but it may have been implemented since.

In some aircraft ( strike eagle) JSOWs are all cluster bombs so that limits their use against things like tanks.

Waiting for the F15E to get a better tgp

Do you have to set the QTY so both bombs on each rack release? If not, how and when is the set QTY used? thanks
Nice video indeed

Undesignate/NWS button; set a point then mark it, undesignate, then set another target then mark it, and drop ordinance when you are ready.
11:57 How did you "set the camera"?
Ctrl+F11
was there an update to this? selecting mark point doesnt do anything and selecting down under waypoint just goes back to waypoints
never mind, i had SEQ1 selected when it should of been turned off
