What have I done to deserve this?! Pet Shop Boys and now Peter Murphy, Boy George all have released new gorgeous music in the past few days. The music artists I grew up on in the 80s are still here with us making our hearts sing. 💞😭💓
This is no ordinary music, it’s a masterpiece, please people make the right decision once in your life and make this no.1 in the official charts. Well done Boy George & Peter Murphy 👍👍👍👍👍
Oh they always ran in the same circle because of the new romantic movement from the late 70s some of them even worked at the same club together. Like the blitz then called hells, boy george worked as the coat room attendant until he got fired lol. Then there was The Roxy or Roxi, Billy's, Croc's in Rayleigh, Essex, and The Regency in Chadwell Heath, where Depeche Mode and Culture Club had their debut gigs. There was lots of art school based movements going on back in the day.
My father passed away on nearly 2 months ago. I forwarded this video to his last woman and life companion and I broke down crying. I don't know why. I guess it had to get out of me. Thank you Peter and Boy for making my own tears fall to your beautiful notes and voices! Still crying, but oh how I am thanking you for this! While being over half a century old, I feel like a child, a comforted child, again.
As they say, never meet your heroes, well I met Boy George at round about 20 years ago, whilst working in a Southampton night club, and I never been disappointed by meeting him, I loved his work even more since, what a special person ! ❤ G
I saw Peter in Adelaide and there were only a couple of hundred people there, we stood feet from him and he was totally captivating, so special to be so close....I could almost feel his spit on me....
@@valerieslater-t1v I've met and shaken hands with Peter Murphy twice, once in the Cascade tour in Lisbon and just a few years ago in Madrid. He's a geniune human being. Very pleasant and charming.
It’s not easy to take someone else’s song and make it your own, but here we see something that only a truly great Artist could do. Peter Murphy shares the song of Boy George and makes it his own without taking it over. We hear one song, but there are two. Boy George’s song is a beautiful, uplifting song about personal acceptance. Peter Murphy’s song is hidden a layer below. It’s enchanting and shatteringly sad, if you pay attention to what he is singing. It’s about a great personal price of becoming and being an Artist. I’m truly grateful to Boy George for this song and to Peter Murphy for all his songs, and for Bauhaus.
first david gilmour, then the cure, and now this... what is going on in britain and why couldn't we get any of that here in america? this is beautiful!
It's always going on in Britain, we haven't totally prescribed to Disney princesses singing with auto-tune here, still a load of amazing bands and artists doing the rounds, they don't get the big corporate backing to get into the singles charts anymore
It still happens here in the colonies that way too. Lotsa great bands and artists making non-commercial non-corporate music that doesn’t equate to chart making hits.
Brilliant...their voices complement each other perfectly creating magical vibration that hugs my heart and fills my soul with light and joy...Thank you, dear legends! 🖤🌹🎩🦇🌹🖤

Earlier today I was wondering what's the use and what's everything for. For this. For beautiful music like this. The rare beautiful moments in life that we get. They keep us moving on.
The truth is we all need something like this. Truth, flowers, experience and talent...far from all the uglyness and clashing reality of these days. Let's all irradiate ourselves with beauty and peace. Thank You Peter and George!
What a beautiful song!! Immediately liked it upon the first listen and right now listening for the second time. Could've been a Bowie song. Fucking brilliant.
I must admit on first hearing the song ,I actually thought it was David Bowie but no it was two amazing artist who never fail to make a decent song well done guys very beautiful.
The timing of this release is impeccable. This is so inspiring and beautiful. Two of my all time faves duetting. Life affirming, meaningful stuff from living legends in a dystopian era for a Gen xer like me. ♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So Wow, a Ballade, so 80s, so Bowie, but it is the Year 2024 with Peter Murphy and Boy George. And today Boy George is playing near my home town, Live in Bochum incl. his Culture Club. Amazing🎉
My 80s and gothic heart is so full and happy for this collaboration. Bravo!!!
As is mine! Absolutely gorgeous‼️
The spirit of bowie was there when they recorded this song...

Totally agree ❤❤
I thought the same as soon as I listened to this song

The PSB & Soft Cell release a song called The Purple Zone. It was great too.
And the best Cure album in many years came out this year too!! All of the greats are here now.
That’s the 80’s for you. Not the shit today like the European MTV music awards.
The Cure too released a new album
Maybe the best until 1992 wish, but not so great@@abellingrath5662
This would have totally been a hit in the 1980s. Can it be a hit in 2024?
Keep sharing and streaming ....... it's in the hands of the people and listeners
I think no, this song is not regaeton so many people won´t like it if they would hear it. I think it´s beautiful.
It's up to us..let's make it a hit...keep on streaming
Everyone who is still alive from the 80's will love this and it just might hit with millenials too.
I hope so...george deserves another go xx
There is a David Bowie sound to it. Very nice, 2 very talented singers.
I concur!
It made me not like it. Felt very unoriginal.
David Bowie-esque vocals. I guess Pete Murphy has always been inspired by David Bowie though
I thought exactly the same. I really like this 🙂🙃😄😁
I think George and Pete would be the first to acknowledge that. It's a homage and a bloody worthy one too.
This is no ordinary music, it’s a masterpiece, please people make the right decision once in your life and make this no.1 in the official charts. Well done Boy George & Peter Murphy 👍👍👍👍👍
Peter, Boy, and Youth had to grace the world with this because we no longer have David Bowie.
This was needed. And I didn't quite realize how much.
Agreed!!
Culture Club and Bauhaus are the collab I never thought I needed.
but its just awesome
Love❤️

Let's hope he makes gigs around again.
My lil goth heart is happy. George’s voice has matured and is so very tender in this song. The video is gorgeous. Love this collaboration so much!
A full album Murphy & George would be awesome I believe.
god no this one song is boring enough

THE BEST!!!
That would be very interesting indeed :)
George's vibrato is gorgeous in this song!!!
He sounds better than he did 40 years ago. It's inspiring!

@@mperezmcfinn2511 Agreed, George sounds great. Murphy's voice has gotten rough though.
Up there with Shirley Basseey and Tom Jones in this song. Beautiful vibrato
Sounds like David Bowie. God Speed and Rest In Peace StarMan. ✌️

Not a collaboration I would ever have expected, but this is beautiful. Wow. Absolutely love it.
Absolutely mesmerising collaboration. Harmonies to die for.
Thanks for not using "collab."
They sound incredible. Boy George sounds amazing!
Two beautiful, aging voices, out Bowie-ing each other. Lovely song. Brilliant production, LOVE the snare.
hope for a full album from both murphy & george! The dream collaboration we didn't know that we need! Guaranteed to buy the album1

historically, yanks always lag behind the brits musically. it's the yank's square population.
This song and video is absolutely stunning! Thank you, Peter and George, for sharing your gifts together in this beautiful, inspiring song. ❤❤

"Let The Flowers Grow"
I gave my soul
To the things that you admired
I caught it
As it came through
Let you be my saviour
Kept it to give you back
Back-to-back
With you
And the heartbeat of the city
In the shadows I made my home
I've been changing
And mamma don't know
Let her tears fall
And make the flowers grow
I am changing
And daddy can see
His reflection
In the mirror of me
Should I regret
These dangerous feeling
But I was born
To feel alone
Without your love
I'm just a stranger
A wilful child
You can't control
And the heartbeat of the city
In the shadows I made my home
I've been changing
And mamma don't know
Let her tears fall
And make the flowers grow
I am changing
And daddy can see
His reflection
In the mirror of me
Back-to-back
With the spirit holy
Imitated you for you to be
I've been changing
And mamma don't know
Let her tears fall
And make the flowers grow
I am changing
And daddy can see
His reflection
In the mirror of me
Thank you🌹🌺🌻🖤💚
