The way some individuals just make excuses for rudeness, bad behavior and unkindness is just as appalling and stupid as the behaviour of the unkind. Makes me think that those people are the same, which is why they are defending the indefensible in the first place.

Boy George has shown, while on the Voice, he is very emotional and loves and angers very quickly. It is my opinion because of his success he has been excused his poor behavior. Sometimes he’s a child throwing a tantrum.

Here is my take on Boy George from a few hours hanging with him. He is a tender, injured empath, with incredibly raw openness that he is accustomed to protecting. He is a very unusual soul and it would take, I imagine, time to gain his trust - if he ever gives it. I had him on a long 6 hour flight and watched him interact with me, and others. His first connection was sweet and open. He was out of "costume" and I didn't recognize him at first. He has several face tattoos. Tender, traumatized, protective and wildly creative and empathic.
I’ve met him multiple times out at one club in particular. Lovely every time tbh.

I think everyone has Boy George wrong. He had a healthy scepticism and wanted very specific information about a person before he was going to just believe everything that a psychic was going to say. I think a lot of people who go to psychics fall into this trap : “Oh I see an older woman with the initial J” “Yes! That’s my auntie Jean!” Boy George is not that gullible. I think he should have a reading with Matt Fraser. He would be blown away (no offence to Tyler).

Especially when it’s a famous person they could’ve easily looked up most of this information on and asked questions accordingly to. For people who are blaming Boy George for being so prickly, he says right at the beginning that his manager talked him into it. He didn’t seek the reading, he just agreed to it. It is unfortunate that whoever is responsible, whether it’s George’s manager or someone from the production team, set Tyler up for failure. He handled it really well and George did warm up, eventually.
BG is a big grown up boy by now, so if his manger suggests something he could just tell flat out. No. I’m not going to do such a thing. But BG wants exposure and pr. So he agrees to this reading. He doesn’t need to be acting like a spoiled kid or a grown up a**hole.

This is why some readers don’t allow you to “gift” readings. Unless the person you are gifting it to is open, they are just going to reject everything because in one sense, they want you to “prove” to them, but also don’t realize their blocking is preventing the reader from doing so. I had several readings with a particular person and referred my sister who also had a great reading, and we decided to refer our mother and she was this same way. We knew she could be difficult but honestly thought if we gave her guidance beforehand, it would help. We tried to tell her how best to prepare to get the most from it (which was really just being open and understanding that some things you THINK you need answers to or WANT answers to may not come through because your ego thinks you need or want them, but that really isn’t what is going to help you), but she was insistent on going into it her own way and asking nonsensical questions and being resistant. After that, I am sure this was a large part of why that reader eventually changed her policy to not allow these types of referrals. Each person has to come to them open and of their own volition. This is a prime example why.
If someone is truly psychic, etc. how I present myself should have zero bearing on their ability to do so...

As a psychic myself - for all the people saying that George is not helpful.. its not Georges job when receiving a reading to actually 'give the psychic medium anything'. I've taught people how to access their gifts and bottom line is - its on US the reader, to provide the validation and George is right, in the early stages there is nothing that jumped out that was 'special'. I and other psychics call this 'making the reader work' but when it comes off.. it comes off good. When we can convert a skeptic to a believer that is the best feeling.. we know we channeled properly. the other thing is - if i was doing a reading on someone and another person stepped in .. as the reader i woudl not be comfortable at all.. and the other thign too.. I always know.. when its 'hard' like what tyler was getting.. the person is frightened of what may show up, bottom line.. a skilled psychic will put the 'querant at ease' and overstep the blocks that George is putting up without the intrusion from his mate saying 'he's getting it right'.
I actually thought it was an ok reading; that Tyler had to work harder this time is part and parcel of the job, and good experience for him. I would love to be read myself someday, but I would also need very specific information before believing the reader. It’s so easy to get swept away with vague information because you want it to be real/true. My favourite medium is Matt Fraser because he barely looks for validation and trust’s the messages he has been given, even when they don’t make sense to him. I really wish George had a reading with him.

He’s the Hollywood medium because the stars contact him for readings. He never looks them up before so he can have a clear mind before he reads them. Back in 1985 Boy George had a boyfriend/friend who lived at his home named Michael Rudetsky who overdosed on heroin at George’s home. George was brought in for questioning about it but managed to weasel out of being charged with any crime despite drugs being found in the home and him also being addicted to heroin at that time.
People knew what really happened but were either paid off or silenced. The story on the street was Rudetsky was not a drug addict until George introduced him and supplied him and essentially caused his death. There was a massive coverup about it as George was a massive star and his label, Virgin Records, had millions they threw at the situation to make it go away.
So this is the REAL reason George didn’t want to admit he knew who the person was Tyler was saying was coming through. Poor PK didn’t know this tidbit about George as he has only been his manager since the 2000’s and was thinking it was George’s friend Steve Strange, who had recently passed, who Tyler was referring to. But to be honest, George left a lot of bodies killed by drugs in his wake during his drug years despite he himself coming out of that time relatively unscathed.
And you think a conman, with a bit of time on Google, wouldn't have been able to get this same information and attempt to taylor his 'reading' and 'energy' to elicit responses in this direction?

You can't blame BG being skeptical. I don't feel that he shut down Tyler completely. BG did open up at times but if it was the information, was not accurate enough, BG would remain closed.
BG is entitled. Even in the spiritual world he wants things to bend with what he wants, demanding his father turns up. It doesn't work like that and the spiritual world humbled him. His father moved on. He should also move on instead of holding on to his self righteousness.
Totally agree, the reading was vague. And why would someone say "that's correct" when it can apply to most people in the entertainment industry or most people in general. Tyler needs to give specific with names, dates and personal relations; otherwise he is throwing things out there seeing if anything will stick.

Yeah, that's certainly not vague and fishing at all. Second one he hits on - to someone that was once a major musical star and has spoken openly about past drug use: is 'getting the sense of drug use". Okay, spot on for researching your pigeon. Let's see if he can pull in anything not vague, meaningless and easily looked up about a public figure and designed to get the pigeon to do the work for him.
"It's really hard for me if you don't validate me" (paraphrase) - meaning: I can't continue conning you if you're not giving me something else to go off and a direction to take my con.
"I work in images" yet can't even give description of the vague "person who passed with addiction that you're doing a benefit for". Which, once again, isn't 'medium energy' but rather prior information gathering.
Even when BG goes for the vague "who had breast cancer" vagueness (considering how prevelent breast cancer is almost anybody is going to have one person they know/care for that had it) he then confirms what BG just told him about his 'mom's side' and even then, it's all a bunch of vague, gratifying platitudes isn't it? "She's independant like you" and "oh, she was tough". Which is pretty much how most people will describe their grandmothers, especially on their mother's side. Then even more research "Bob, not Robert, Bob."
All in all, complete setup and I'd judge this guy to be more fraudulent than a three dollar bill.

As a medium, he needs his client to "validate or figure out where something could fit" because then the person is joining in on the job of tricking themselves. Tyler isn't "able to continue with the reading until the other person can understand or I can understand where it fits" because without the validation he has nothing to use to continue creating the story. I really wish people who truly believe in these mediums would see how mediums are only able to weave a story based on what the other person gives them. Which doesn't make sense.if the information is truly coming from "the beyond." I love what Houdini did with his secret note because it really lays it all out there. Mediums can only operate based on research and reading their clients.
It's a skill like any other-- if you practice you could do it too (much of it is research, learning to read people, and learning to quickly and smoothly shift directions when your guesses aren't hitting the mark).

It's so very strange that so many psychics, mediums etc are gay, over the years you see it again and again, not always, but very, very often. I have thought about this, and one possible reason is that they've had to put on a big act, pretending to be someone else, until they didn't, but then some just decide to carry on the act, like this. Also for some strange reason, gay men are able to read people really well, so they're able to guess things about people relatively accurately. How do I know, I used to do this as well, I just made it up, but was always somehow right, I know I was just making clever educated guesses, but it seemed to help & I wasn't being malicious in any way at all. Now, I just chat to people about their problems, and I don't call up mysterious forces, generally, you get better results ;-).

I think that reading gave BG a chance to heal, and make things ok for himself even if the reading didnt seem to appeal to the viewers. We should not be so sure we know how deep someone elses hurt or pain is. Healing is about moving into a new perspective. I think Tyler gave BG a beautiful gift and it was appreciated by BG, even though you might feel differently.

Mediums need validation so they know what to target next. Its how they work. Give vague information and rely on the participant to fill in the gaps.

He really appears to have a gift for connecting and I respect him because he is allowing Professor Gary Nolan to scientifically study his brain and channeling abilities as far as possible.
