    As a Panthers fan, I like Stroud, it doesn’t matter how much you can throw or how good at processing you are if you are injured. So I prefer having the bigger quarterback, even if he is slightly worse.

      That's the thing I think he is fundamental a more sound passer too. Sure Bryce has some crazy athletic plays that get people excited but I'm more of a fundamentals guy as its more consistent. CJ is bigger sure but he is also more accurate (though Bryce is still very accurate himself), has a better arm, and has better pocket awareness/footwork. All this leads me to believe he will have a more consistent career, especially as a passer.

Stroud couldn’t beat Michigan. I think Stroud will be good but not great. Young’s size isn’t that big of a concern for me he was 204 at the combine. He’ll be working with the best nutritionist and trainers in the world so people just need to stop that talk, either your injury prone or not. Carson Wentz is a pro typical QB but he stays injured. Yes Stroud played great against Georgia but that’s one game. Bryce Young had multiple seasons with great production against the toughest defenses in the country. Based purely on game tape, Bryce Young is the best QB in this class. If he were 6'3, he'd be up there with Luck and Burrow in terms of NFL readiness and hype. I get it he's small, but let's not act like 240 pound Will Levis wasn't more injured last year than Young. Young knows how to protect himself, I'd be more concerned with guys like Levis who play recklessly. We can't even predict injury patterns in the NFL. Luck, Wentz suffered major injuries while Brees and Wilson stayed healthy for the most part of the 2010's. I'm more concerned with Stroud's play under pressure and the fact he's not that creative when the play breaks down. Sure, when you're blocked by studs like Johnson, Wyler, Jones and having 3+ seconds in the pocket to throw to the Marvin Harrison's and Garret Wilson's of the world it doesn't matter much.

    • @ethanbullins5915
      @ethanbullins5915 Год назад +4

      Strouds pocket time before the pass was 2.8 secs, and that was faster than Bryce. I just don’t want to worry about my an being folded in half. Drew and Russell were both heavier and built bigger than Bryce. He’s good but I just need him on the field and that may be a massive issue for him

    • @ren2871
      @ren2871 Год назад +2

      @@ethanbullins5915 if you could source where you got that time I'd appreciate it. Just based on tape, Young buys himself more time because of his pocket presence and stepping up in this pocket. Stroud usually just sits back and even then, 2.8 seconds to throw is quite a lot of time.

All the best young QBs Mahomes, Allen, Lawrence, Herbert, Jackson, Burrow, etc are all well over 6 feet tall. Meanwhile, Murray and Mayfield, two smaller QBs who lit the NCAA on fire have accomplished next to nothing in the NFL and have been…HURT. Take CJ #1 and don’t look back.

    Baker mayfield was a college Star but he was too short to throw over the nfl line . Fact is stroud can throw over the line easier. Unless your constantly running play action , Bryce scrambling outside of the pocket is dangerous…. He’s not Lamar Jackson

    These so called experts don’t have a clue. Stroud’s ball placement is far superior than Young. I think both understand and can read and manipulate defenses. Neither has a cannon or supreme athleticism. But both have more than enough athleticism. I’ld go with Stroud though, I think he’s going to be the best of all the qbs this year.

      Stouds arm is strong. Yound is a more elusive. I would take stroud between the 2 based off play and durability. 1 good shot can easily end Youngs season. I believe he plays around 195 once the season starts. I Believe he was all water weight at the combine. If you look at him on the field you can see no way he's 200 pounds.

    • @wwbdwwbd

      Stroud's arm strength is elite. They clocked him throwing a 59 mph ball at the combine, and it didn't even look like he put that much effort into the throw. That's on par with Mahomes.
