With CJ Stroud in MVP conversation its hard to suggest that the Texan's weren't the biggest winners of the draft - especially if they continue this run and win the division and make some noise in the playoffs!

Micah parsons is 6’3” 245 ran a 4.39 and he’s amazing on the DLine. I won’t be shocked if that dudes a beast

The reason CJ is seeing to make QB look easy for a rookie don’t know what he had to overcome to get here. His father was arrested for kidnapping and robbery while CJ was in ninth grade so he and his mother struggled bad . He kept playing football but was too poor to go to QB camps like most High school QB’s does . His sophomore year he couldn’t afford cleats and had to wear his old shoes that gave him blisters every week. But he had heart he watched Drew Brees RUclips videos to help with his mechanics. And by his senior year he was one of best recruits in the nation . He reminds me of the movie Rocky where poor Rocky couldn’t afford anything so he hit slabs of beef . That’s CJ Stroud a very Devout Christian that willed himself to greatness that’s why he looks so in control and mature beyond his years .

Having an accurate knowledgeable QB that has proven they can play and win against quality competition lifts everybody around them up. Carolina and Houston just lit a fire in a rocket and are rising higher immediately.
Carter went to the best situation and the Eagles knew it. Fresh off a SB, he will feel humbled to be picked by them. Egos will get checked quickly.
Eagles and Seahawks won the 1st round. My team had no pick in the first but I can respect those 2 teams picks!

Determining who "won" the first round re: picks is subjective. In 2017 no one would have said that KC won that first round by taking Mahomes at #10. They traded up 17 slots to get him. js

@@lilpon1780 I'm a 49ers fan, the Seahawks draft will probably get them to the top of the NFC west. Witherspoon is well worth a top 5 pick, top 3 defender and the best DB in the draft.

QB is a pretty important thing to have to figure out, and in San Francisco's case it really doesn't even matter who's playing QB, because they won't be able to stay healthy, due to Lynch's picks and personnel decisions in regards to the o line up to this point. Despite having several opportunities to address it in this draft, he decided to draft a kicker and a backup TE not named Darnell Washington, instead of Dawand Jones, or another OT. I swear he outsmarts himself like every other year.
Every team in the NFC west got better to some degree, except San Francisco.

The only reason the Eagles won the draft is because they were in the Super Bowl last season. If they were just another team we would be saying the Texans won.

Eagles obviously but I gotta give it to the Steelers too and I’m a ravens fans saying this by the way. But they went out and got the best OT, a 6’7 TE, Joey porter, and Benton. All those guys will have some kind of impact on the team and I disagree abt the lions. Yea they could have took another player at a more important position but they got there RB of the future, a good ILB, and possibly there QB of the future hendon. Gotta trust the process!!

Texans have 2 first round picks next year, and they traded the lesser of two in value. Houston's traded pick is probably a 20ish. We still have Cleveland which is most likely a top 15 if not top 10

Cleveland went 3-3 in the 6 games Watson played last season. They have a great running game and a good defense. Arizona probably demanded Houston’s pick.
I believe Houston’s ownership forced the CJ Stroud (Dwayne Haskins 2.0) pick to satisfy the goofy media and fan base. Which put the GM in a position to where he had to trade an arm and a leg to get the player Ryans wanted which was Anderson.

The Browns have a good defense, a great running game, and a proven QB. They’ll most definitely win more games than the Texans. The Texans have a bottom of the barrel roster and they wasted a #2 pick on Dwayne Haskins 2.0.

O-Line has 3 players drafted in the 1st rd - LT, RT & LG, plus a 2nd rd Center & Shaq Mason at RG.
So the O-line has an All-Pro & the #1 pass blocking LT and a sturdy group of HIGH draft picks to protect the shiny new QB.
At QB, they just selected CJ Stroud who had one of the highest completion percentage in college history for his time in college, he landed in the top 10 of ALL-TIME accuracy at that stat(#7 on the list), it was 69.3%, he even had 71.9% one year. The kid is deadly accurate already, now the Texans will get high draft pick John Metchie III back in the depth chart at WR after beating Cancer his rookie year, and they drafted Tank Dell & Xavier Hutchinson at WR for speed and length, they also scooped up Dalton Shultz at TE in FA. They are not the same team as last year by any means, I mean they could have traded their 1st rd pick or Cleveland's 1st rd pick next year in that massive trade, who did they chose? They chose to bet on themselves, and traded away their pick. They want go win NOW, and the entire culture made a massive change, you have a HC that all young black men respect, want and love to play for bc they saw him do it that way first. DeMeco Ryans won the defensive Team Captain as a rookie bc he understood immediately how to read offensives and could call audibles on the fly to give advantages, so imagine him teaching his captains how to see everything. This team is going to be a playoff team sooner than later.

i actually kinda loved the players they got, i do feel like they probably couldve traded down some spots for both players(maybe they tried),but as a college football fan both gibbs and campbell popped off the screen when i watched alabama and iowa games, so if either one becomes a player theyre capable of being the "reaches" will have been worth it let alone if they both do. i also think branch was a great pick but only time will tell. not a lions, bama or iowa fan just figured id throw that out there

I’m no Texans fan. But I keep my 13th pick. I go Will Anderson at 2 and probably another defender at 13. Just build the holes this year and go after Caleb next year. CJ might be good but with the wideouts Ohio State has I just can’t trust an Ohio State quarterback in the NFL
