      Look at Trevor Lawrence. His rookie season was a complete dumpster fire and now he's a competent NFL starter.
      The problem is that Young is just screwed because Carolina nuked its own draft stock and he'll have to ride out another year of punishment. If they can at least get him some capable WRs, he'll be able to show off his accuracy more, but ultimately it all comes down to the line.

    As a colts fan, while it sucked to see AR get hurt and miss most of the season I’m hoping that this will be a blessing in disguise. I loved what I saw from his small sample size and think there is tremendous potential. One of the biggest knocks on him was his ability to read defenses, make the right read, and take care of the ball. This season he got real game experience and then was forced to do nothing but learn the offense and prepare himself for next season. We also got to see what Steichen was able to due with Minshew running the offense and if he can have a successful offense with him and Jonathan Taylor missing most of the season, I cannot wait to see what happens when we are fully healthy.

I really don't want to think he's actually on their level of bust though, the Panthers are an absolute joke right now thanks to their owner. Tepper makes Dean Spanos look like an empathetic genius by comparison.

I was always so impressed by how well he handled games. He just seemed to always make the right passes and his game against Georgia was all I needed to see to want him in Minnesota.

    Aside from elite arm talent, his will to win sets CJ apart. That's why there is a jump from his 1st preseason game and 1st regular season game to Game 3 when they started winning. Slowik said he has not seen any rookie prepare as much as CJ did day and night to master the play calls. He was magnificent and still has the hunger to grow and improve as DeMeco builds the team around him.

    Levis falling to the 2nd round and then being the #3 QB to start the season was the best thing that could have ever happened to him. It was the ego check he desperately needed. I think that reality check gives him the best chance at success. You can see the potential in him. He clearly has ability and he played like a rookie QB would be expected to play. Let's see how he learns from his rookie season and improves going into season number two.

Also if you get a chance I suggest going to an Orioles game since it’s almost a really fun experience even when they’re not good

    • @Mokuteke
      @Mokuteke 3 месяца назад

      @@Bullboy_Adventurespanthers don’t have weapons anywhere on the field that can get open fast enough to make up for the oline. Texas oline are a bunch of random names but none of them have preformed bad at all just because there’s no big names on the oline besides LT doesn’t mean the group is bad the preform well. The panthers on the other hand signed guys and drafted one last year and they all seemed to be bad pick ups they all played terrible. All the Wr on the panthers besides Adam are WRs 4s or bench warmers if they were on the Texans and Adam isn’t an early separator so he skills aren’t being fully used cause the oline can’t hold up long enough. Which is also why their run game is bad despite having some serviceable backs. And the defense is ass outside of Brian burns he is a free agent. They also hired a coach (frank) who had left the last two teams he was on in a worse position then they were when he got there so all around the panthers is a terrible situation for any of the Qbs to go to and none of them would have proformed well in that situation besides maybe ant because he would at least be able to make some plays with his legs

      @yrgredpanda2366 Most of the Texans O-line were 3rd and 4th Stringers. For Carolina's OLine was a lot better last year and regressed with mostly the same personnel. And Frank Reich, His last Year in Indy, That Oline was absolutely awful, Hell, it actually improved under Jeff Saturday from Doggy diarrhea to serviceable and and this year it was a much better unit with all the same players, Well, excluding the games their starting RT was injured but their Backup even played pretty decent for a rookie. I think Carolina's Oline is fine, I don't think it is a coincidence that in 2022 under Frank Indy's Oline was ass and then improved after he was fired and then Carolina's Oline, which was solid in 2022 and turned to dogshit in 2023 with Frank. Oh yeah, and The Texans have the same Oline coach that was with frank at the Colts. I think that is also worth mentioning.
      I think CJ would have still looked good in Carolina, nowhere near what we saw, but something that probably would have been good enough to compete for the NFC south.

    • @Mokuteke
      @Mokuteke 3 месяца назад

      @@johndeckard7306 you talked about one problem that the Texans have in common with the panthers and none of the others. Texas play calling was terrible, on offense and defense. They have very few playmakers on either side of then ball unlike the Texans who have a good coach with playmakers like Nico and tank and stingley. The panthers as a whole was the worst team by far and it wasn’t even close the roster would not been able to win the south no matter who was a qb even if it was Patty Mahomes

    The NFL is loaded with talented players. At the QB position, one thing has become extremely apparent. What coach and position coach will lead them and will they need to carry the team. Would Mahomes be Mahomes without Reid? Would Burrow have made a Superbowl without the Bengals D? There's plenty more examples, just not trying to type a novel. In short, bust or success, it's got a ton to do with what staff the QB is paired with.
