This version of Music Man is from heaven. Unbelievable!!! Its always a sign of a killer tune when it translates so well to acoustic playing!!! Great musicians.....
The last time I saw these guys was in 1976 or 77. They sound as good here as they did in the Saginaw Gears hockey arena, and I was stoned at the time. It is a matter of being musicians. Professionals can light up their audience. These guys are the real thing, and my opinion is no longer chemically altered.
Want to show some true talent? Sit like REO is here and sound that good there is some talent there. These guys are good as they have ever been. Bruce Hall is the man.
These guys are so incredibly talented. This is real musicianship here. These guys are very accomplished musicians on their respective instruments. Neil, the organ and other keyboard instruments player is not present here, but he is in a category by himself. I didn't realize what an accomplished guitarist Kevin was. Vocally, I think they harmonize better than any other rock band, and Kevin has a beautiful falsetto voice that blends in perfectly with Dave and Bruce's voices.
One of the best bands ever in my humble opinion.Great songs and fantastic musicianship.Just my opinion too but I think that Bruce Hall is one of the great bass players that you'll never hear mentioned as such.Thanks for posting :-))
Good song... sounds really good. I never realized the chords were quite so basic (same little Cat Scratch Fever move, that I was shown when first learning to play, = the main riff). Guess the keys and Gary R fancied it up a bit on other versions.
They do sound real good here, and I think alot of the "Quality Sound" is from the Quality instuments they are playin. Kevin and the bass player are both using "Martin guitars" the one in Kevins hands is probably $5000.00 Made in the USA.with pride.Sounds like a million bucks though when he's playin it.
