- Michael Jackson has some of the largest selling albums in music history. However, his later solo releases can be hard to find on vinyl. Both albums featured in this video are big favorites among fans and they both hold some incredibly underrated music from the King of Pop. In this video, I'll show an original pressing of Blood On The Dance Floor along with the Music On Vinyl pressing of the last Michael Jackson album released while he was alive, Invincible. Make sure to drop a comment with your thoughts on these albums!

Thank you for this. I don’t have either album on vinyl so it’s nice to see how Sony packaged it. I agree with your sentiments regarding the new material on BOTDF…some of his absolute best work. Worth buying for Morphine alone!!
You're welcome, glad you liked it. Couldn't agree more on Morphine. Sony hasn't done a very good job in honoring Michael's legacy since he left us, but I'm hoping that changes. I'd love to see this later material get the recognition it deserves.
I need these both!
Invincible should still be easy to find on Discogs. Blood On The Dance Floor was much harder for me to come by. I wish they would just reissue his entire catalog.
Loving all your videos. Could you go into some detail into the pressing plants that produced these albums and how to recognise them on the vinyl?
To be honest, I'm not too familiar with which plants pressed these albums in particular. There's a chance someone on an MJ forum might know, but that's not something I've looked into.
I have the same pressing of MJ's Invincible; great album!! I wish I could get my hands on Blood On The Dance floor and the album History. Hopefully, we'll have reissues of these in the future. Thanks for sharing 😊
I waa glad to finally get Blood On The Dance Floor last year. I picked up HIStory for wayyyyyy cheaper than it goes now about 10 years ago. There's a video for that on the channel too. It's one of the first videos I did :)
There's a HIStory picture disc set on Amazon for like $30, I used to own a copy but regrettably sold it when i started getting more into Indie, but I've been listening to so much MJ lately that I wish I'd kept them!
I'm not a big fan of the sound of picture discs, so I passed on that release. I'm really hoping they do a standard vinyl reissue eventually.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast I need all three of these where are they!
@@QuantumYin91 the Music On Vinyl pressing on Invincible shouldn't be too hard to find still. I'd recommend looking on Discogs for it. Blood On The Dance Floor is much harder to find, but I got mine off of Discogs as well.
I love this album more than thriller
I finally got the mj botdf album 2 months ago definitely worth it I got the original pressing of invincible and history
Right on, so glad you got them!
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast your channel is amazing I love vinyl more Michael Jackson content please
@SALIM86 we just started doing reaction videos recently and we already did a lot of MJ reactions with more on the way :)
Wanted to comment on this video to let you know your information on this has helped me a lot. Got blood on the dance floor UK release recently and the label on the record is white instead of golden black the American release I believe is the golden black one on the label. Also have invincible original release not the music on vinyl. Thank you for your helpful information. Your vinyl collection is amazing!
Thank you for watching and I'm very glad the info helped! I hope to compare the sound of an original Invincible to the MOV pressing one day. I'm wildly impressed with the MOV though.
My original invincible Lp sounds great no problems I have had it for years now. Just subbed to your channel. Music forever.
I have the Invincible picture disc that came out a few years ago. It sounds very good for a picture disc. I'd love to find Blood On the Dance Floor. 🤗♥️
Blood On The Dance Floor was the last one I needed. I finally caved and paid a bit too much on Discogs a few years back. Not a crazy amount, but more than I wanted to pay initially. I really hope Sony reissues his later material sooner or later. There's a LOT of good stuff there many people haven't heard.
NAMASTE!! CAN'T WAIT!! THANK YOU!! GOD BLESS!! XO
Video is live now. Let me know what you think :)
I've never had any issues with MOV and I have quite a bit. Most of my stuff from them has been from the past 4 or 5 years.
Back when they first started, there were a lot of complaints. One that sticks out to me was Stone Temple Pilots - Purple. A ton of people complained about the quality of the cover art.
I'm the same way as you; I have a lot of their stuff (including Purple) and I've never really had a problem with any of it.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast i looked qnd they seem to have started in 2013. Before me really collecting. I know there was an issue with STP - Purple on purple wax pressing was awful.
I now seek out MOV pressings for certain albums or bands. Their Alice In Chains pressings are all terrific.
Totally agree. I have Dirt and Unplugged from them and they sound excellent
What is your opinion on the 2021 Dangerous vinyl re-issue?
I haven't heard that yet. I do want to get a different pressing of Dangerous though. The one I have is the Music On Vinyl pressing from years ago and I don't love it. It's not bad, it's just not great. I keep meaning to pick up the latest Dangerous pressing and do a comparison
Everytime I brought botdf the seller would cancel happened 4 times finally got it
It tool me a while too. Glad you got it. I'd still love to see Sony reissue the entire back half of his catalog.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast Sony need to release new mj music and reissue many albums but not giving the fans what they want
I totally agree :(
What the rarest michael jackson vinyl you own mine is big boy michael first every record history botdf and the original press of invincible
@user-fo3od2xd2v HIStory, BotDF and the Music On Vinyl reissue of Invincible are the rarest ones I own. There's a video for HIStory on the channel as well.
Be careful buying the vinyl for Blood On The Dance Floor. So far i have had 2 Blood On The Dance Floor vinyls and both skip pretty badly on the first disc. Blood On The Dance Floor, Morphine and Superfly Sister skipped but everything else played fine. I sold the first copy I had and bought another one and the same songs skipped (minus Morphine). I'm guessing some of these just weren't good pressings. Ive heard someone else with the same complaints on Discogs warning everyone not to overspend on this album.. also someone else played BOTDF from their record here and it skipped pretty badly in the opening ruclips.net/video/pegzgzumF4Q/видео.html
Oh no, sorry to hear so many skip. Luckily my copy doesn't but I guess it's another reason to hope for Sony to reissue it soon.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast I'll be very happy if they do 😄. Glad to hear yours doesn't skip. These are really expensive to skip that bad 😬
Stop talking, JFC. Play the music.
