I was 24 in 1965. An air hostess. I did my hair like that so many times. We looked so pretty them. We put on lots and lots of eyeliner with a charcoal pencil in the aerly sixties, liquid eyeliner came later. We never used eyeshadow, but very thick mascara. It was not like today, it was a sort of black cake in a small case, we had to get it by rubbing moister on it to make it creame soft it with a tiny brush. It was more than natural to spit on it and put it in the eyelashes. I know, gross, lol. By the way, we put on tones of hairpray to keep in place the enormous high of the hairdoos. If you touch it it was like touching a brick wall. many men hate it but we love it. Cheers.
I LOVED reading your comment! Makeup has changed so much but I still love 60s style the best. I didn't know that about the hard hair - too funny! Hope you are having an awesome day & thanks for watching xo
When I saw this on instagram initially I was like "Oh what a cool pic of Jean Shrimpton, it blew my MIND when I realised it was Jackie! SO incredible Jackie !! 💗💗
Thanks!! aw I do very niche videos so people aren't really SEARCHING for this recreation but I'm always happy when the video finds new eyes that love the same vintage looks I do :) hehe thank you so much for watching, helps keep my channel going! xo
Jackie Wyers yes girl! Been here since the beginning, love how you don’t make me feel like I need to go out and buy the most hyped products. God bless!❤️
I n guess she is about to reach 1 million subscribers ❤️ so she is doing great !! And u have to choose to be happy woth where you are !! And if she is then it doesn’t matter 🧚🏻
Gorgeous!! Would love to see you recreate Audrey Hepburn's look in "How to Steal a Million", with the glitter cut crease and black lace Givenchy face mask, it is epic!! You look so much like her, it'd be amazing! 😊😘
Oh wow! I remember those Twiggy lashes, Yardley products. I’m in my 60’s watching you do a 60’s look, lol. You do look like Jean Shrimpton like everyone says. You’re beautiful. This was fun to watch. Thx&see ya😁
Yardley products were so cool, there isn't products like theirs today!! Aw I'm glad you came across this video🥰 Thanks for watching & have a great day xo
You did this so well! Jean Shrimpton was the person we all wanted to look like and you’ve done it! I still have that Yardley London Look cake eyeliner in a lovely grey from 1967! I always wanted the Heartbreaker 3 in 1 eye compact but I couldn’t afford it. I was 13 years old.
I see I'm not the only one who thought that the thumbnail was Jean Shrimpton! Gorgeous! I remember the magazines from the 60s and still love that look.
Oh MY Gosh!!! Jean Shrimpton was my girl crush when I was growing up! You did a SPOT ON recreation of her look! So talented and So Beautiful!! Well Done Jackie!!!
you should do Pattie Boyd. I absolutely love her and I’ve watched all of the tutorials of people trying to do her makeup look and they don’t come as close as you do!
Jackie, let me tell you something, you amaze me every time, im an old follower, i love all you videos they make me happy and i never seen someone so talanted and real in doing these makeup tutorials and not just regular ones, you do looks of famous people or inspired by past generations like this vintage one and i couldnt find a better makeup artist than you're! love x
This the most authentic 60s looks ive ever come across so far🌈🌈🌈🌈, unlike cheap recreations done by supposedly modern make up artists. The hair, the make up and the vibe, ma am what an impeccable you've done here! 😲😲😲
You are extremely talented, besides being very beautiful. I’m very impressed with the details not only of the makeup looks, but nose and face shapes you relate. Amazing! When I was very young, Jean Shrimpton was my idol and the top model until Twiggy came along. Both were beautiful.
would you do some makeup and hair tutorials inspired by rachel, monica and phoebe from friends? i absolutely love their looks, especially some of phoebe's hairstyles! whos agree?
This is amazing! I collect old tear sheets from vintage magazines from the 1920's to 1990's and have a few Yardley one's...i just discovered this channel on a hot, boring Saturday and just have to subscribe & binge watch!! Nice channel!! 😍❤💋💕💞💓💖
I just discovered your channel. I am probably your oldest subscriber. When I was in 8th grade in 1969 I received my first lipstick for Christmas. It was a Yardley lipstick in their Cellophanes collection. The name of the color was Beige Together. It was such a pretty nude that I would top with a clear gloss. I wish Yardley still made those lipsticks. Thanks for your tutorial. You really looked like Jean Shrimpton.
You are killing it with these 60s/70s tutorials! I love watching these, they take me back to when I was a little girl and would actually see these items or advertisements. ❤️
Love that you are trying old products . I’ve always wanted to do a video using old makeup , but the sanitary conditions from age scare me . Been loving your videos ❤️
Yesss! They are def more collectables, I only felt ok using the lashes and the fragrance doesn't bother my skin either. Didn't try the eyeshadow or lipstick though! thanks for watching my videos, means a lot
