Always fun to watch your videos. Wrong Place, Wrong Time was a great read. Amazing author. Rebecca is a true classic and so atmospheric. Definitely a good fall read. Next up for me is The It Girl-Ruth Ware and Strange Sally Diamond-Liz Nugent.
Wrong Place Wrong Time was so interesting! I didn't go in with many expectations, but I was really pulled in. The storytelling and the way it all wove together were quite good.
Really enjoyed Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone, Wrong Place Wrong Time + In My Dreams I Hold a Knife. Just got Ninth House from library on Tues. Good so far🙂 My fall TBR includes And Then There Were None, Look Closer, Sleep Tight, Someone in the Attic, Project Hail Mary, I Who Have Never Known Men + A Sorceress Comes to Call. So many good books ahead! Happy reading📚
Same here - this is the most exciting period of the year: spooky season. I find myself adhering to my spooky TBR the most. We share Belladonna and Rebecca on our TBR (mine has 12 books 1/3 calssics ie Frankenstein); the Last Tale of the Flower bride is a very nice one, quite short as well, i think you will like it. The Dream Thieves (Raven Boys 2) was my favourite book of the series. Please do a summary video at the end of spooky season how it all went 🙏
The Whispering Dark is so good! I read it just a couple of weeks ago and had a great time - I read it as an ebook and audiobook at the same time which was a lovely experience.
I want to read Rebecca, hope it’s aged well. I liked Wrong Place Wrong Time. I think I’m going to read Empire of the Vampire for spooky season. Really unsure about that one.
You've got some great picks in this list! Heartless Hunter is one of my favorite reads from this year. It's technically YA but the characters are older (over 18) and it has such a great mix of action and romance and magic. Loved it! Also loved Belladonna - that whole series is one of my favorite series ever because I love the way the author personifies abstract concepts like Death, Fate and Life. Just such a great vibe for the spooky/fall season. And The Ex Hex is just pure fluff and fun. It's witchy and cute and just the perfect amount of spice. I've been into cozy, romantic fantasy lately which I think is fitting for the fall season, so some of my recs if you're into that too: The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches (cozy, magic, a little romance with no spice, features found family), This Spells Love (like the Ex Hex, there's a spell gone wrong, but this one has the friends-to-lovers trope, no spice that I remember, and also focuses on the growth of main female character coming into her own), and The Love of my Afterlife (so charming, excellent banter, also has found family, a little enemies to lovers, the main female character is a little curmudgeonly at the beginning, but the journey she goes on had me tearing up by the end).
Really enjoyed In My Dreams I Hold a Knife, Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone, and Belladonna! One Dark Window and Ninth House are also on my fall TBR 😊 I just posted my fall recs video if you need more ideas and want to check it out!! And my fall TBR is also quite long haha
Ninth house was very good but the sequel was absolutely awful. Everyone in my family has killed someone was imo not very good. The "humor?" Wasn't funny and the actual mystery was meh! Highly recommend the Emily Wilde series. Happy reading
Good video - Belladonna has now been added to my list. Thank you. Love reading these types of books this time of year!
Me too!
Great list! 🧹
I really enjoyed The Book of Cold Cases!
Rebecca is one of my favorite books. 💗
I'm really excited to give it a try!
I must finally read Cackle this season!
Belladonna is so good. I’m getting ready to read the second one. Heartless Hunter also is fantastic. The Luminaries was a fun read.
I'm so excited for all of those!
The Darkling Bride is a good spooky read
Great list. I have quite a few of these and it’s been great inspo of what I should pick next, so thanks for that 😁🧹

The Darkling Bride is a good read for fall.

That book was a wild ride!
I'm on the second in the Belladonna series. As I told my coteacher, once I'm immersed, I hate leaving their world!
I love hearing that!

Let me know what you think of Belladonna and Rebecca :)
I really liked Belladonna and thought Foxglove was even better! I still need to read Wisteria.
The Whispering Dark is so good! I read it just a couple of weeks ago and had a great time - I read it as an ebook and audiobook at the same time which was a lovely experience.
I love hearing that - I've been really wanting to pick it up!
I just read What Moves the Dead - and I really liked it! I'm normally not into spooky books, but it was enjoyable for me.

I will go check out your TBR :)
Is Simone St. James really scary??
No not really, I feel like her books have some unsettling sections but not necessarily scary!
Ninth house was very good but the sequel was absolutely awful. Everyone in my family has killed someone was imo not very good. The "humor?" Wasn't funny and the actual mystery was meh! Highly recommend the Emily Wilde series. Happy reading
Oh no, thanks for letting me know!
