Excellent. Finally a "from the ground, up" protocol by hams for hams without proprietary commercial interest involved. Can't wait to see the M17 rig hacks and our day-to-day use of it.
Hey Jason, you might want to include DudeStar (DroidStar) into Build-a-Pi. I already compiled for my RaspPi after I install build-a-pi. It's can do M17, DMR, YSF and DStar plus I think Allstar but I haven't tried that. I'm interested in the M17 via MMDVM I didn't realise it could do M17 so if you check that out would be cool.
Never mind old man, we understand that not everyone has the ability and/or willingness to keep pace with the true spirit of ham radio. Enjoy your hobby as you see fit, and so say all of us.

I'll never cease to be amazed at the cleverness and inventiveness of hams. :)
Thanks for interviewing our front men at Hamcation!

Welcome. I will be following this project going forward!
Hi Jason, maybe we can do an M17 QSO?
Hop in M17-M17 module "C" using Droidstar!
That would be awesome! Now I just gotta figure out how to get it running on the Pi :-)
Same here ;-)
Easier way to get it on the Pi is to compile and run Dudestar/DroidStar
This looks interesting. I might have found my next rainy day project. Thanks Jason.
Have fun with it! BTW....did you get down to Orlando?
@@KM4ACK No I didn't make it. It is on the bucket list though.
I can’t wait to give it a try! (Full disclosure, I’m Rick, brother to Steve!)
Hey! Very cool, this project seems *really* cool & I'm looking forward to playing with it.
Thanks for curating and sharing this cool stuff.
The only thing cooler than these guys, is their shirts!
