Love chatting to you guys about the Supra! Any questions let me know!
How do I defend me and my mother from the Supra
@@Brainless_Memer you do not
Not a question about the supra, but is your name really Jamensson Broader Benterino?
Im sure you've told us, but: Drivetribe gave you some (correct) flack for not having a turbo in it. What kind of turbo is in it now?
Why doesn't the supra make 6 million horsepower yet
Jimmer being surprised that he's faster than everyone else, when in fact about 90% of that is because a certain Jimmer is a pro racing driver now
exactly. at his caliber of sim racing alone it translates so well. the knowledge, the memory. of course that coincides with real life feel and weight and g force... dude is amaazing., he is the reason i built my rig!
I'll tell you what though, you've gotta give credit to the people who go to track days. They've often got deep wallets and aren't that slow. If your car is 10 seconds faster than Jimmer, but then the driver is even 6 seconds per lap slower, that's 4 seconds faster
@@AndrewGeierMelons 10 seconds on a track where the laptime is gonna be around 60 secs is huge
@@neovo903 my race car, my EP3 Civic SiR is like that 🤣🤣 the car itself is 15 seconds per lap slower than the 800 hp RSX that I timed it against, but when I give the Civic keys to someone else, I'm 2-3 seconds faster than they are 🤣🤣🤣
a championship winner at that.
Saj here, I'm so happy to see the car performing so well with all the recent upgrades we carried out. It just proves that power isn't everything! In all seriousness the car was faultless all day, but being out in the car with you all I was thinking is how are we not flying off backwards on each corner?. Some talent right there...well done my friend!
killer job on the car so far!
Jimmer is a true pro😁
Jimmy "this car is a boat" Also Jimmy "This car does well in the wet". Well I'd expect a boat to do well in water if it didn't that would be pretty concerning.
Cuz it's a boat duh
Lmao
jimmy spends his praga winnings to get out of and back in debt on the scuffed supra
Money well spent...
You think he gets Money ?
@@olivierfritzen2749 there is a prize pool of $200000 i believe
@@daxxrogers2055 but not for the drivers, for the team
@@daxxrogers2055 well german motorsports is dead so i assumed there would be no Prize Money just like here…
I like how 2 years ago, Jimmer would have been terrified to go fast in the wet, and now he's having fun out there.
The onboard footage and audio was great. Glad you found a reliable setup
Watching you do a real life recreation of Gran Turismo 2 career is absolutely crazy, you trully went from the amateur with a shitty sports car to tuning it to be a performance efficient one AND a champion in a professional series at the same time!
There's no reason to watch the GT movie in theaters when Jimmy is out here providing content for free! Not to mention how good Jimmy's story is, I don't think the real GT movie has any chance to surpass it
Just so great, jimmy's journey is just the most wonderful and cool thing i have ever followed, this could have seriously been a fairy tale
Jimmer you could really give yourself more credit. All those hours on the rig, only to get a couple seasons worth in a real race car - only to help take the top spot - has given you the skill and the experience to be faster than most regular enthusiasts. You earned it.
It’s interesting how you handled the wash out on your sighter laps. There were many instances of you running super wide while still managing to reel in the cars ahead
Grip is out there man, gotta just trust that I'll catch you
@@Jimmy_Broadbent That's beautiful, man. I'd catch you, too 👊

"Good practice for all the racing coming up next year" 8:30
Did you just slip something there Jimmy?
Yeah that caught my attention, too. Sounds like some exciting stuff is to come
I'm honestly expecting praga to bring him back. Probably one of the best if not _the_ best ambassador they've brought in for the series.
@@Patrick-zr8tv I have a sneaking suspicion they'll bring him on as a pro next season, just a wild guess though. You're completely right though, the Praga cup never would have had as many eyes on it as it did with jimmy's documenting of it.
If I recall correctly Jimmy should've taken part in the VLN Langstreckenserie at the Nordschleife in 2020, had COVID not happened. Maybe he'll get to that?
@@4bidn1 Simple question but do you think that Praga races are as exepensive as the other cars in their category ? Like he raced with GT3s and was way faster so I believe that it's less expensive but it can be surprising sometimes ?
Looks like the upgrades are coming along well, and was fantastic to meet you at the JPP open day!
Congrats on the Supra fixes. 2JZ is a delight to modify.
If it is going to be a track car (you already kinda gutted it) then racing coilovers, bbk, and track tires tires should be next. Save the engine mods for last, since a 2JZ-GE would need lower compression pistons to be turbo-friendly.
The engine will be fine to turbo if it is non vvti, no need for lower compression pistons.
Or just keep it NA, would be nice to see how far it can get without too many mods (just intake, exhaust, and cams)
@@Bird-nx5ef true non vvti ge's can run 400+hp easy 🤷♂️
Although I'd vote for a small responsive turbo build to get it onto power faster.
@@thegiantgaming7592 ye that's my thinking too, a small quick spritey turbo with a nice quick response, ~400horses. That's probably the ideal track day setup
@Hesh Hesherson well being the reasonable person that Jimmy is, I'm quite positive that's his thinking as well. There is simply no point throwing more power at the car than the chassis can handle, and without extensive (time attack) modifications around 400 horses is probably what the MkIV chassis is good for (if you want a car that's usable off track too)
Jimmy: wins a pro-am championship, beating The Stig
also Jimmy: "I can't believe I'm the fastest at my local trackday, must be the car"
The imposter syndrome is real.
Really come to love the irl content, vids like these are consistently some of my favorites. Thanks for continuing to share Jimmer!! Good on ya!
"There's loads of grip down here..." followed by 6 o'clock of opposite lock!
I totally agree with you. With just a couple chassis bits I've also found that my Supra really hides its weight well.
And with a great driver such as you behind the wheel, I'm not surprised it's doing so well!
Watching you drive on track never gets old. Someone else said it more eloquently, but it really does feel like watching an IRL version of a Gran Turismo playthrough.
10:29 - that was a beautiful recovery. tasteful fishtail and then right back onto it. very nice 👌👌
That battle with the Yaris was really fun! I wish we got those here in the US.
love watching your all your videos
been following for a long time and super impressed to see you go from living in the shed with the r32 to becoming a race champion!
I love that while you get complimented you just have this face "Is that really me he is talking about?, am I awesome?"
Yes Jimmy, FUCKING YES JIMMY you are AWESOME.
Love how far you have come, been watching for years and cant get enough.
No puntarino! :D
Jimmy living the GT7 life.
Great video this! Just wanted to say... you inspired me to get into Sim racing. After having a Quest 2 for a little while now I finally went in for a wheel and pedals. Have been playing some Assetto Corsa and having an absolute blast (even though I suck lol).
Right after watching this video I fired up AC and drove a silver Mk4 Supra around the Indy Circuit at Brands Hatch in the rain. Closest I can get to your experience in this video. So cool that I can just do something like that at home! Thanks for everything you do man.
Love your track day content Jimmer, Cant wait to see the final evolution of the supra!
We need more of that sweet helmet cam action. That was by far the best part of the video. Great content mate!
Jimmothy you're doing great out there! Such a pretty Supra! Love the soundtrack of that car. Sim or IRL I/we really enjoy watching you doing what you love! Brands Hatch is such a scary track to me. That first corner is blind and RNG from where to start braking. I'd usually brake months too early.
Man this video is one of my favourites! Of course in addition to the Praga stuff! Supra has ALWAYS been my dream from a really young age, watching you yeet this chonka around getting the back out was magical! Much love! Also quick note to editor-chad - whack a HPF ~50hz 12db, sub was going mad on the handheld clips lol
Jimmer, love the driving videos. Keep doin what you're doin!
Love these videos about the Supra! Can't wait to see what's coming next mate
Zoooooooooooommmmmmmm looks amazing jimmer! Love the content keep it up!
Woooo!!! Good job Jimmer and the team at the garage.
Also shoutout to Bill Wurtz for the lunchtime music!
Thanks for sharing and that looks really fun! Great driving, too, mate!!
This series is probably my favorite of all your content. Sick build, keep it up.
Love Brands Hatch, superb seeing the Supra getting a wriggle on in the wet.
really like the go pro and live commentary in the car, keep it up bro
Reason you outpaced every car there. Talent.
Top video again Jimmy 👌
Love these videos!
NA 2jz build would be sick. Not a lot of power to be made, but could be something quite special and quite a bit lighter than a turbo setup on the allready incredible heavy 2jz.
Hey Jimmy! I love watching all your videos, the rally stages especially get me going. I’d love to see what you can do in WRC 10 on Sweden shakedown. Please please please do a video on this stage!!!
Love the helmet cam! More of that please! Loving seeing so much progress on the supra and on your own driving abilities! Awesome to see you living your best life
LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE the POV set up
This is shaping up really nicely. I wasn't expecting you to take out headliner and carpets but more light is more better.
Love when he says “sorry about not posting (sim racing) content” but THIS is what we want to see! Just Jimmer having a good time doing whatever he loves doing.
5 times the power or bust mate. xD the scuffed supra is a machineee! awesome video as always my guy! keep it up. love ya!
this was a fun video. Nice work Jimmy
It's so difficult going from racing to track days and not being able to go for a lunge up the inside.
Love this content, hopefully catch you on track sometime, see if my Mini has the balls to keep with the scuffed Supra.
People that say MKIV Supra’s have bad chassis only base it on some weird guess work or hearsay. Ex stig ben Collins had one and stated they handled really really well. Tiff needle also said the same and these are all racing drivers that know a bit.
I’d love to get my turbo track supra together with your on track fella ❤ great vid and great peddling
surprised that no one kept up with the supra, he keeps forgetting hes a better driver than 99.9% of the population XD
big shoutout to the miat bois sending it topless in the rain
Awesome content Jimmy 👌
That supra was dancing
Who doesn't love the Supra?! I'd love it if you kept it naturally aspirated. Every other Supra is already turboed to the thousands. I really enjoyed the onboard footage, nice little camera setup you had there.
Great job Jimmy, like the in-car commentary
Always loving the real life content, keep it coming! Hope it's getting NA-T at some point for those good turbo 2j noises.
Been waiting on this!
Sounds great Jimmy!
Congrats on the praga win.
no way! i have the same hardtuned hoodie! keep up the great work! you did what i was hopping for !! a race track monster!!
11:38 😂 just like when the storm trooper in Star Wars hit his head!
I love how happy you look , must have been a brilliant day.
would be insane with a turbo! car seems so well balanced and so fun already. looking forward to see where it goes jim!
wet track days always have so many stops though when people go off, but i agree they are usally the most fun days at a track you can have, becasue its much slower and more technical.
Love the irl car content Jimmy!
I'm amazed at how good it sounds, I'd love to see it with a non- turbo setup, maybe supercharged would be really cool
This is so cool. It’s like your doing a car review on the sim in supper wet conditions but it’s irl now 😅
when jimmer gets in a battle u can really hear how much he enjoyed it from his voice haha
Great send Jimmer!!!
Loved the East City music while the mechanic was explaining something
Love the sound of an N/A straight 6!
That overtake at 14:45 was nuts
Much faster, but no less scuffed. The way it should be. 👍🏼
Dude ! Helmet camera was awesome🤘🏼🏁
8:59 Ah, yes. Jamie Broadbean.
This is awesome. Cheap beater supra for the Track
Everyone loves to talk horsepower, but tires and suspension is where it's at!
love the dacia shirt, a mini Misha collab :D
I love these videos
This display of driving was so so so entertaining. Maniac!
This is my first time seeing Brands Hatch tracked in real life and its so weird feeling after putting so many laps in, in sim games
Need more of this, more often
I knew that Supra was something special. Can't wait to see where the future takes it
Really cool seeing a legends car I didn’t know they were ran in the uk
19:57 "Fuckin' Toyota baby. Can't beat 'em"
Toyota in WEC: "You're goddamn right"
Brb, gonna hop into GT7 and drive a Supra or S2000 on Brands Hatch. This was splendid, mate!
After playing brands hatch on asseto corsa seing you race the real deal was amazing. Might have to go drive a supra in the rain at brands hatch now 😅
Jimmy I just wanna say your car fucking rules. My friends dad takes his NA JZA80 to the mountains and track all the time and its such a solid car. Keep it up man this is a great car!
Had my first track day at a very wet Brands Hatch many years ago in my 400hp Nissan S14a track car. Sketchy wasn’t the word for it
Yay new Jimmer :)
Super humble jimmer being like "the fact that im a professional racecar driver with many many years of simracing experience has nothing to do with it"
I guess the caterham's lightness doesn't help with cornering in the wet? Because less weight to put the grooved tires to work. Or perhaps they didn't have the right tires for the conditions. Interesting!
You should consider entering the Toyota Sprint Series. I did it many years ago and it's great fun at a relatively low cost
Im REALLY hoping Jimmy keeps her N/A. I mean, sure slapping a turbo on her is easy HP, but a highly tuned N/A engine just sounds devine.
"We're gapping the Yaris!"
Imagine this sentence some 15 years ago! 😂
Nice car dude
The Supra has came a long way since you bought it, can't wait to see how it will change moving on
Editor-Chan really ramped up the sass in this one!
The car is well set up, and even if it is heavy, the chassis is good. But the speed is down to you Jimmy, it's faster than these other cars because it's got a Praga cup champion behind the wheel.
The Ben Daly burn was glorious. Well played.
Is it officially then, Jimmy's signed with Paraga next year as well?!
That'd be wickeeed :)
GREAT CAMERA VIEW JIMMY!
Saj is the man 👍
Stock Supra chassis isnt great as is, BUT is a great base for making a truly solid chassis and by the sounds of it you're getting it nicely sorted with the bracing etc.
Anyone that tells you Supra's can't handle is talking out their rear.
It's just the 'meme' thing to say.
Glad to see you giving this Supra a new lease on life while enjoying the process and taking us along with you.
