- We invite another RUclipsr to The Smallest Cog to give their car a Cog Score, and this time it is channel-favourite Jimmy Broadbent and his rather battered Mk4 Toyota Supra. It may be a legendary car, but it could be in for a hammering from Mike and Anthony!

At this point, an unrestored "survivor" Supra is the rarest of all Supras. lol
and also the sh*ttest in most cases, like this one.
At this day an age where all Supra's are 1000hp, his Supra is much more interesting to see
tones of them in Australia.
You mean "unmodded" Supra. They're never "restored".

Hammond sold his to pay for the Smallest Cog, May has done several on his collection on Drivetribe, Clarkson isn't really a collector. He has some sort of fast Mercedes, a Range Rover, the MFB Continental from the Madagascar trip and The Excellent (the Mercedes 280 body on a Land Rover chassis).

@@Yvolve the bentley was a development car and currently resides in Crew. I think he sold the clk black. But he still has the 600 grosser, Lincoln, and alfa gtv6. I'd imagine he'd have a few more cars but who knows.

He understands that it's nearly impossible for people to own their own homes now on general income. He's honest but still lives his life with his money. You couldn't ask anything more
It's an issue in every country with a World Economic Forum controlled government. It's on their website. They want you living in pods "you'll own nothing and be happy".
I like this kind of video, cool idea. But I'd like to see a drivability aspect to the Cog score, just put Richard and Mike in the car with a gopro or two, and go around the town for 30 mins, find a nice route and cruise the car, find out if it has transmission/shift issues, brakes, Aircon is applicable, how the suspension is set up, takeoff, etc

Yep, headlight is the easiest thing to fix here. Somehow that Supra being a bit scuffed at gives certain character that it wasn't been babied and looks used alot, raced. But yeah would be nice to steel bring back the shine.

Fix those, the mirrors and the two or three big dents/bumps and the rest is just added warrior character to me!

This classic car is 28 years old. For perspective in 1994 a 28 year old car was from 1966.
I remember seeing that wing in person for the first time in the 90s. I knew even then these cars were gonna be something.

the discussion of Hammond being stirred by an 80's Porsche versus Jimmy with 90's JDM, that's purely an age thing, isn't it. Almost everyone's "dream" car is something they saw when they were 10-20 years old.

Its just subjective but not necesseraly because of age since its all about taste and feelings. I love the supra for its legacy in the tuning scene but the 911 for possibly the most beautifull design ever.
There are two cars that I am enamored with, all because of movies I saw in my teens. The 67 Shelby Mustang GT500 and the 94 Toyota Supra MK IV.

Thing that most shocked me about that Supra was when he put it on the dyno and how few horses it had lost in 28 years. Honestly, I couldn't think of a car I'd seen drop fewer for that age of car even taking into account it's fairly low mileage.
I'll say this much... This series finally got my drivetribe subscription. I love the interaction between Mr. Hammond and the guests. Seems more "intimate" being a 1 on 1 sit down, in Richards actual shop. That's BEING USED as a shop! Keep it less scripted, more natural, and just let 2 gear heads be just that.... Gear heads.

I love that Hammond was genuinely trying to understand the sim racing, it's like how my Dad is trying to understand controller gaming, he's trying but he just can't get his head around it, but he was very respectable about it with Jimmy and it was great seeing those two proper car guys who have also now done a lot of real life racing. And about the car I'm genuinely shocked it doesn't have a turbo, the previous owner must have sold it
I like the format of the COG score Mike. You guys were pretty thorough with checking it over. It took me a second or two to come on board with the antenna being cool, but eventually I saw what you did. 90's era styling.
JayEmm would be pretty interesting with one of his cars. Would be especially interesting to hear him and Richard chatting about stuff.

Back in the day when this car was current, the design was out of this world amazing. Muscular and intimidating. It was obvious even back then that we were seeing a timeless legend.

I got a single stone chip on my Mondeo bonnet years ago. Within 6 months the lacquer blistered and peeled from the ENTIRE bonnet, looking like that Supras roof.

I just got done watching Jimmy's version yesterday, and was glad to see your guys version on my list today. Even tho the interview was almost exactly the same, i didnt care n still watched it again. :) Love Jimmy, Love you guys, glad u had him on, n i'm glad he doesnt take himself that serious and he set out for the worst score n still made an impression doing it. That's why we love Jimmy. :) Just a down to earth bloke.

I can’t image how weird it would be telling your life story to a childhood idol
I first laid eyes on the Supra Mk4 back in 1997 when my dad introduced me to Gran Turismo in his PS1. Supra Mk4 has been my love at first sight.
Fast forward a few years, I saw my first Supra in a car show. Then The Fast and Furious came out. I lost it.
Then I saw a bunch in real life since then. One night, a red widebody Supra overtook me on a highway, I'm doing 100kph and it overtook me like I was parked. It was followed by a Honda NSX.
I have never been so happy being overtaken ❤
I came home that night smiling, surely a treasured memory. ❤
Supra Mk4 is still my dream car to this day.

That body isn't bad. Any competent body man could sand that and have it painted looking new very easily. New headlight/taillights and no one would be the wiser. It's a 28 year old car let's not forget.

If there's one car I absolutely adore, it's the Supra, which means above, this and the AE86 are cars that I really think the trio should look into more now that they have really grown a heritage, Jeremy appraised the gt86 as being the best coupé ever, and given the fact that Toyota rivaled the skyline with this monster, this car single-handedly resparked the tuning Community after Fast and Furious came out, which was a movie that was inspired by initial D, and yet to this day people still make fun of Toyota, this was only one of the Feats that Toyota invented, oh yeah I almost forgot to mention this was Toyota's first car with variable valve timeing so they could rival Honda, but if I were to list every single thing Toyota invented that people copy to this day, there would not be enough room in the comment section

The host gets up to greet their guests and it is probably a reflex for Hammond after doing TV for so long. Kind of mandatory there, as etiquette matters in that business.
