Now I'm 48 and I want a poster from the T50 in my room ❣️
I'm so glad, that Gordon Murray build this dream of a car, that I want a car poster again 🙏🏼😃
Have someone a idea, where I can buy a nice poster (wallpaper) from the T50 ❔

Touch screens are fine if they are used for very minor things that you can only do when the car is sitting still but when they are used for driving they are dangerous.
I have cars with touch screens in them and they simply are useless at best when driving and you cannot use them.

Can you guys see what Top Gear did here? It's genius, really.
Due to this new car, Gordan Murray has been through the media circuit saying the same things over and over again. You can see it in his other reviews - he's becoming a bit of a cardboard cutout of himself. It makes for boring uninspiring interviews.
So what did Top Gear do? Pulled some strings, did a lot of research and found the exact thing that would break Gordan out of that cardboard cutout and "humanize" him again. They pulled a BIG HAMMER! And that was his XP3 F1. You can tell by his initial shock and his softer, loving tone that selling that car was an incredibly painful decision.
I bet it was Gordan's decision to never see that XP3 again. This for fear of a desire to reacquire it and then have to go through the pains that had caused him to originally sell it. So he'd probably put it out of his mind, even though it would never leave his heart and he'd always feel pain for its loss.
And then suddenly, unexpectedly, it's in front of him once again. And we get to watch his shock and watch as he falls in love with it again.
Top Gear is really good at what they do. I can't deny that, no matter how much Grand Tour I watch.

Brilliant and simple goals that lead to one of the most unique cars ever. Bummer that only 80-90 of these were ever made. I would love to go for a drive in one and experience that V12 induction sound. That's what I prefer from an N/A engine is the induction noises over a LOUD exhaust.
The last bit I enjoyed the most is when Gordon Murray was talking about how much he drove His personal F1. That he likes to use what He owns. That's amazing since I've seen too many sports cars sit in someone's garage looking pretty. The point of owning such great machines is to experience them for yourself. (:

Murray was limited by the (vs today's standards) crude tech and the fact he was having to do everything under the auspices of Ron Dennis, then owner of Mclaren plus a limited budget and schedule limitations so there were certain things he wasn't able to do.
With the T50 the computing, materials science etc has improved massively in the three decades since the F1 made its presence known to the world plus it's under the umbrella of his own company so the T50 was always going to be a superior product than it's immediate predecessor.

If you actually think about it, most of us will own a car with 300 hp max, that will weigh at least 1,5 tonnes. I mean compared to hypercars and modern supercars this cars numbers will not blow you away, but let's be honest, do we need a thousand horsepower, where you need several computers to control, and 250 mph top speed? Very very few people will ever even have the chance to even use all of that. On the other hand the T.50 weighs 980kg and has over 600 hp. That's insane and looking at regualr cars still an untouchable monster. I feel like 650hp is more or less the perfect amout of power for such a car, and it will drive brilliantly. It will basically be what the GT86, BRZ and FRS are just in supercar class. Stats don't impress anyone but those things drive unspeakably well.
