I think we need to see Richard have a go on Jimmy's sim rig...

Wow imagine meeting a legend like that... a day im sure Hammond won't forget...
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie
Absolutely Right!!!
For Jimmy, it was Tuesday.
Probably not safe to put Hammond and "won't forget" in the same sentence tbf.
😂👍
Hammond and Jimmy hanging out means I'm in the good timeline.
The best timeline, to an Extent
We knew the timeline was good when he got to live his dream as a driver. We only got further proof when he earned his trophies, a house, and a severe improvement in his mental health.
In fact, the mental health improving thing.. that's the only proof we ever needed.
This is the good timeline? Oh my...
IKR!

I think the next stop is Clarkson and then finally a cameo in grand tour. 👍👍 Jimbo let's go
@@SirPrizeMF The farm was actually hilarious. Changed my opinion of him.
Nah go down the farm with Clackson and watch them race combine harvester! See if Jimmy is as good in them as he is in sim :)
Don't forget spending time with The Stig.
Also: Stig ✅
@@CaptainPanick you mean racing with The Stig? Imagine how surreal it would be to be constantly beating Ben Collins in races
Got a ton of appreciation for Hammond's seemingly genuine curiosity and interest in learning about a generation he doesn't understand. And his openness about having no clue about it. lol
Yeah he really seemed genuinely interested in what jimmer does and how he does it. He was intently listening to everything jimmer said and had some really good questions that I had thought of as well.
@@umungus518 If you watch the video on drive tribe with the M3 guy, it seems Hammond genuinely likes to do this. And he is good...i think i would watch a regular show with Hammond just being interested in a racing driver, and engineer or something like that...
I really like Hammond outside of the old Top Gear crew. I mean liked him there too, but it's nice to see him in a more natural setting, rather than the three of them each winding the other up into caricatures of themselves.
@@sstvost9 I love all three alone and togehter. I can enjoy all of them for what they do and have done (although, i'm not necessarly that much of a gin drinker...)
In some ways, its kinda like the interview part of the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car TG segments without the actual driving and the time constraints of being a segment. Just an elderly man having genuine curiosity about the person they're talking to, asking all the genuine questions just to understand and learn.
I'm glad he got to meet a legend.
Happy for you Richard.

Oh hello.
OLD OUT YER ‘AND!
Ahoy Alex
That would be awesome!
Now THAT'S a video i want to see
If someone told you 4 years ago you'd one day do a colab with Richard Hammond, what would you have said?
Man I imagine the old videos of Jimmer. So proud.
Seriously. So proud of Jimmer, and he should be hella proud of himself too.
One of my absolute fave guys, and a guy who crashes a lot. Work that out.
it works either way, methinks
which one is which? Jimmy and Hammond both crash a lot, only Hammond doesn't mind showing every crash he has and Jimmy mostly crashes in simulators.
Just like Grosjean
Hammond doesn't crash that often, come on.
Hammond doesn't crash all that often. But when he does crash, he makes sure it's a big one.
Man, that was a proper chat at the end of the video. Hammond's explanation of trying to connect with Jimmy's car preferences was solid. Really solid video, Jimmer! And refreshing to get to see Hammond's more intellectual side rather than just the silly side you see with TG/Grand Tour.
2:23 jimmer flexing on us with a full tank of fuel 😂

Is it actually full, or did he turn on the wipers? Who knows with that car

The honor of having Hammond absolutely degrade my car would be immeasurable, another reason to love Jimmy!
And that is why Hammond is my favorite. He actually is a really amazing interviewer and is a natural at trying to make guests feel at home while getting them to open up about their lives and make a genuine connection.
I loved how eager Hammond was to learn about it and your career. I think you did an proper job explaining & representing sim racing to him!
You realize how time has gone by when Richard Hammond has turned into a "pleasant old man".
It was a great interview, enjoyed watching this.
we live in the right timeline. first jimmy at may's pub and now this, only jimmer on clarkson's farm is missing xd
Jimmy need to get some practice in on Farm Simulator!
The first two are intellectuals, Clarkson is anything but...
Jimmy this chat with hammond was great, you seemed so natural chatting with such a legend. Great watch
Now you just need to film yourself being an absolute yob on a track with Clarkson for the hat trick! fantastic interview with Hammond, and love that you took the scuffed Supra haha
Could argue he'd be going for the quad, seeing as he's had the Stig on the channel as well
This is simply amazing. All the feels!
Jimmy got me into sim racing and you got me to dig deeper into Formula 1. Thank you for being awesome!
To me, even if you have no connection with JDM history and that 90s culture, the Supra is still just a gorgeous, gorgeous car. I remember thinking that back when I was a kid and wasn't even interested in cars; when I saw it part of my unconscious mind noted down that it was a beautiful silhouette, which it is. It's just an almost perfect shape: smooth, sleek, elegant.
That a 'car guy' like Hammond doesn't see that obvious aesthetic quality puzzles me, because it seems to be the most obvious feature of the mk4: it's not a showy car, it's not striking, it doesn't drop your jaw...it's just extremely pleasing to look at.
Bro the supra is hella ugly and looks like a whale.
@@mrworldwide2722 you might have confused the supra with your mum there
It's the generational difference though really. As said in the video, all the 90s JDM cars are iconic primarily because of Gran Turismo, Initial D, and F&F, and consequently all the instagram/tiktok videos alluding the cars to those franchises. On a timeline where those franchises don't exist, the Supra really isn't anything special. Good? Absolutely no doubt, but it wouldn't otherwise be seen as anything different from say a Mercedes SL, Alfa Romeo Spyder, or Porsche 944 of the same vintage (inb4 weebs crying in 3, 2, 1).
To address the now raging weebs, yes, I'm not disparaging against what 90s JDM cars achieved in motorsports in the 90s, but motorsports is far more niche than the games/movies mentioned. Really it was only the R32 GTR, Subaru Impreza, and Mitsubishi Evo that really had an impact in the west at the time through rallying, Group A touring cars, and Le Mans. Yeah the JGTC was a thing, but westerner's wouldn't have been aware of it in the 90s, this is pre-social media, hence why Hammond doesn't really connect with the Supra. Hammond isn't a gamer at all, and I doubt he ever really gave a shit about F&F.
I should also mention that another reason 90s JDM cars are iconic is because in the mid 00s to early/mid 10s, they were dirt cheap performance cars that could perform far far beyond their price range; a working-man's sports car, but that era is long dead lol. I remember when you could get a mint R34 GTR for around £6k, and that was the most expensive of the JDMs in Banzai magazine classifieds lmao, EVERYTHING else would be £4.5k to as little as £1.5k.
@@solitaryclusterofneurons598 No, I think the Supra is simply a lovely looking car. Its silhouette is just very pretty. I've personally always found Porsche 911s, especially the older ones, rather ugly to look at, with their duck bill front ends, although the 944 was nice-ish in some variants. Still looks strangely lop-ended when viewed from the side, with the bonnet much lower than it should be for the purposes of a kind of symmetry.
I've never watched a single F&F movie, I dislike JDM 'culture' and I missed out completely on Gran Turismo since I only played arcade racers until fairly recently. So its 'iconicness' is neither here nor there for me. Like I said I remember liking the way it looked back when I was nine or ten and didn't know anything about cars.
Supra is shit
Hammond is a great interviewer. Loved that - and very articulate answers
How insane is it to see Richard Hammond interview Jimmy... Two different worlds and generations meeting...
im 15 and do sim drifting, only experience really i've had with that kind of car would be my uncles r33 skyline. Hoping one day to drift in real life with my own car, watching you talk about how you moved up to racing from sim has genuinely inspired me to do the same.
It’s crazy how much translates from sim to real life. The feel of the car moving and peripheral vision are pretty much the only limitations. And you can knock out the latter with a VR setup
@@meh6897 idk i just use head fx seems to work for me, but yeah only thing i’ve done irl is slide a pickup truck around a field 😂
Get into shifter kart racing. There is tracks everywhere
I’m 55 years old and a mid 80’s 911 gives me the same feeling as Hammond and I’m sure what Jimmy thinks of his JDM cars. Most of you guys will be to old to remember the iconic posters of the Lamborghinis and the wine bottles and the women. 😂
Truly unbelievable. Two of my favorite people in automotive media sitting side by side is something I'm so happy to witness. Hammond's genuine interest paired with Broadbent's insight into his live and how his experiences pushed him in the right direction was a wonderful thing to watch. When's Clarkson coming on, Jimmer?
Jimmy I've been watching you from the early days and it feels like how a mother would feel watching her son growing up and now he's ready to leave the house and become the man he was meant to be! The whole community is proud of you mate! 👍
I love hearing both you and Hammond talking frankly, both being so knowledgeable and humble about your passion.
I can't believe you got to meet hamster himself!!
Our boi is livin the dream. We got a couple of people following suit and I’m so drugged excited to see how the sim world continues to grow. It’s cool to be a small part of it and this kind of content certainly encourages those on the journey. Thanks Jimmer
What an awesome interview that was. Both of you were great. And it's really great to see how enthusiastic and genuine Hammond is here.
Mad respect seeing you so calmly interacting with theese guys and a living legend such as Hammond. I guess you would not have belived if someone had told you a few years back where you would be today. You continue to amaze me, keep up the good work man!
I love how down to earth that conversation was. Really just 2 car enthusiasts talking about cars
This is truly such a lovely video. Amazing to see Richard is so friendly and so good to see you talk about your passion so openly!
Always fantastic to see a new Jimmy broadband video pop up❤️

Really nice interview and well handled. Really enjoyed watching this.
Wow, Jimmy. So many emotions. First of all: HOW THE BLOODY HELL DID I MISS YOU OWN A SUPRA NOW?!? Then: I've followed your channel for a long time and I really love what you're doing, you seem to be a good lad and you earned every last bit of your success - and I appreciate you sharing it. I also love sim racing, been gaming all my life (and also eventually made a living in computer games). Then: I've watched Top Gear all my life, always been a petrol head. Huge fan of the antics of Mr. Clarkson, Hammond and May. I'm 40 now so that puts me somewhat in between the 2 of you sitting there, age-wise. And I can relate to both your worlds soooo well, it's uncanny. My parents never thought gaming would stick as a hobby into adulthood, nor did they understand when I started earning money with it, so it hit very close to home when you said you had a hard time explaining your job to your mom! xD But then, being older than the internet and having spent my teenage years without a smartphone, wifi and internet flatrate, I can also relate to Richard's world and "analogue" perspective on things. Needless to say, it's super awesome that you're also doing Full Metal Racing now! Last but not least, seeing you and Richard together in a video is just amazing, thanks to both of you for doing this. Good on you mate!
That was an awesome interview and a really good explanation between the two of you, of why car guys love particular cars. It’s not always about the numbers. It’s about the feeling it stirs in you when you’re walking back to the machine.
Jimmy your a legend, love this general chat with Hammond. The best thing is you come across really well and normal ‘for a you tuber’. Keep up the amazing work as always
Just don't let him drive it.. It'll be upside down in a field before he hits 6th gear
As long as there's no turns, straights or braking zones he should be fine

Another stellar video from Broadbent and glad to see the Supra still going strong! Proper, down to earth interview from you both, this is what I look forward to when I finish work! Two blokes living their best life! Can't wait for more 💯
Top tier content Jimmer!! Glad things have been going up the last 2 years. Glad to be a part of the whole journey.
I never comment but this was such a good coming of age, feel good video! I've been following Jimmy in the shadows for the past 5 years or so and have seen his recent 'real world' growth. This video was a combination of a childhood idol in RH and a youtuber I have huge respect for. Really chuffed all round! Great stuff Bimmer!
That was amazing to watch and I could see how happy it made ya. Well done Jimmy and a great vid as always!
This has got to be the best car Duo I've ever seen. Well done Jimmy, you've come so far and forever moving forward. Your story has inspired a lot of us and will continue to do so. Look how amazed Richard Hammond was in your story, surely that says it all!
Absolutely loved this video. To see you going from sim racing in a shed to where you are now is truly inspiring. You have proven to everyone that if you have a passion for something and you are willing to put in all the hard work to get it that it’s achievable. Great interview with the legend himself Richard Hamster Hammond. Jezza next hey 😉
The feeling Richard is struggling to understand with the Supra is nostalgia. Jimmy has history with it so it brings nostalgia. That feeling is a strong motivator for buying old classic cars that people had in their youth.
Great interview Jimmy. Glad you can share your passions and make a career out of it. Keep it up man
Richard Hammond is such a great interviewer, really engaging and charming. Should make a career out of it. Good thing he now has street credit interviewing our one and only Jimmer.
This is so good! Love the interview!
Congratulations, Jimmer. What an amazing video - two of my favourite car people talking. Brilliant.
This was so dope! Congrats dude! Really enjoyed this episode and getting to see a little one-on-one with you and Hammond. How fucking cool!
Love this! Followed for so long, and it's awesome to see!
I think it is 'real' racing, in the sense that there's a 'real' danger you could get seriously hurt doing it, I guess
Nice man. Found you through your video with Hammond on DriveTrube. Subbed now purely out of curiousity over how you do up the Supra.
That aspiration for JDM cars in the 90s man...
(2:21)"Good morning neighbours 😁"....😂🤣💀 Had me in stitches, got to make that my new text notification. I was in the mood for pure gold entertainment & maximum wheezes, can always rely on you Jimmers for that! Another brilliant vid much appreciated! 🤝 A legend creating content with another legend, another video i couldn't click on any faster!
Gotta be honest, skimmed the video and saw the interview, thought "oh god", but kept watching and was plessantly surprised. It was an amazing chat with Hammond about things you both love. Amazing stuff.
Amazing video brother, I'm so damn happy for you and what you've accomplished!! Well done.
Jimmy and Hammond is the best duo. Congrats jimmer, super proud of you, been here since afew 1000 subs 👍
This was absolutely brilliant! Thank you, Jimmer.
That was such a great chat you had with Richard. Must be a bit mad but really cool meeting James, Richard and Ben Collins from the Top Gear heyday
18:56 - I would love to see a good long session with Hammond in Jimmy's simrig with VR goggles.
I absolutely love Richard's obvious genuine respect and reverence for you and all you've acheived.
That was awesome! Richard is so humble hehe
Superb chat. He genuinely seemed to have time for you, which is really great.
Absolutely phenomenal video. You've really been hitting it out of the park lately
I think the best way to explain the Supra to Richard would be the scene from FF, at the lights, next to the Ferrari.
In that moment, so many young kids were told that you don't have to have performance money for a performance car. Just time, hard work, and a lot of scrapping around, you can turn mum's JDM hand-me-down into a hell of a car.
The whole JDM 90s-00s era is simply that. Getting a car and modifying it to perform with top-end at a cost sponsored by fast food wages.
But not only that, you could make the car how you wanted; drift, time attack, track, street, show, rally-x, whatever you wanted it to be.
And when you slapped it into a barrier or kerb, it didn't matter. You'd keep the damage as a sign of, "I'm too broke to fix this because I'm too busy saving for the next upgrade" which everyone respected.
"What's the retail on one of those?"
"More than you can afford, pal. Ferrari."
That sums up the Supra and so many other JDMs of that era. They're icons now and loved by the multitude of us common folk.
This is really interesting to watch for me. I think I am aged kinda between the two.. I grew up watching Richard when he was much younger, hosting various shows and being ...well, Hammond. Years later YT become a place where you weren't just scraping the video locations from browser dev environments and downloading them, it become a proper monetized platform and... even longer after that, Jimmer turns up and reminds me of the fun I had on early racing games and sims.
Seeing them both interacting in the one video is a really cool merging of two wildly separate times in my own world and I enjoyed it a lot.
Ahhhh most favorite car (dream car) of all time! Car looks stunning! Thanks for all involved to create this video!
Now that's what I call a collaboration
This is epic Jimmy!!! Well done!
I love this so much. I was actually just wondering to myself if any of the top gear/grand tour fellas knew anything about sim racing and here we are. Love the interview
Entertaining and informative to watch, Jimmy! The fact I like most is that Hammond actually seems to have taken the time to prepare himself for the interview. I had expected some shallow chit chat - but instead most of it built on background knowledge and dug a little deeper!
I can honestly thank Jimmy for getting me into motorsports. I've always had a cursory interest in it but showing me how to make it more fun and accessible through Sim just made it even more cool.
The second I saw both of them in frame together I had the biggest grin I couldn't get rid of... So proud of Jimmer ☺️
This was a wonderful watch. Thank you.
The crossover I never expected, what a joyful episode
crazy not only that you're meeting Hammond, but he's the one interviewing you! Been here since 2017 absolutely mental to see how far things have come
Jimmy, I remember watching your rFactor/iRacing streams on RUclips circa 2013. I'll be honest, I was more interested in Matt Malone and the Twitch side of sim racing at that time, but I've really warmed up to your content over the years as I've seen you grow your channel into what it is today.
I know it's never been all sunshine and rainbows and it never will be for any of us, but I just want to say I'm really happy for you. What a great conversation you had with Hammond!
The sound effect coming in at 15:15 was beautiful
The collab I've genuinely DREAMED of, ah mate, it just keeps getting better and better! Proud of ya!
That must have been so cool for Jimmer to get to talk to someone who was as short as he is. Good for you, Jim.
Fuck Yeah man! So happy you’re getting these opportunities, hard work def paying off
Epic Jimmy. And hope to see you in more racecars.
Hammond giving you a hard time in good fun for how you came up kind of discounts the talent and legit skills you have as an entertainer, an announcer and driver. Keep up the great work. You deserve your successes.
It brings a smile to my face seeing Hammond on the camera after a long time.
That felt like a genuine chat. Enjoyed that!

Awesome video! Continue living the dream jimmy!
Loved this video Jimmy, looking forward to more IRL stuff
such a cool conversation you guys had. Loved this
This is crazy/awesome Jimmy! I loved Top Gear. Didn't expect to see hammond on this channel
Now this is interesting. You say you loved Top Gear as if you think Hammond hasn't done anything since. Did you know about the existence of The Grand Tour and the Drivetribe RUclips channel before this? If not, Jimmer has given Hammond relevance for you again, which would be quite a bizarre situation.
That was an absolute joy to watch but cant help feeling the slightest pang of jealously that you've gotten to do all this awesome stuff but nice one Jimmy :)
This interview has inducted Richard Hammond into "I must talk to this person, before I croak, about the world of personal transportation, as it's both developing and unraveling and this same time." type status. This is the era where years and makes and models of cars become the standards of thoroughbred examples for the motoring community and will determine the recreational value people derive from the cars that we love today, and value those cars demand tomorrow.
Amazing dude! Congratulations!
I think one of the reasons we love watching streaming, as Hammond does not get - is that it replaces what my generation used to do growing up. We sat beside eachother, often times with one playing and one watching. Being a young gamer in the 90s we were often many ppl around one PC, commenting and interacting.
The same can be said about the streaming service. A likeable friendly guy that you share the gaming experience with, now that all of us connect via internet. It has replaced playing at eachothers houses.
never forget Jimmy, the reason you've come so far is literally because you're a fucking amazing driver.
Congratulations Dude!
Meeting Richard Hammond is a life goal.
This is one of the greatest videos ever. To see two legends in their own right talking, absolutely magical
