Without a doubt. the best demo of anything any time! As a professional educator I was very impressed with his rapport, his instructional modality (say it, see it, do it), and step by step approach. 5-star! 👍 I am preparing to purchase a digital piano…he sealed the deal. I found my piano. Thank you.
I found my piano before
Saw this video! Love it!
This man is a génius! His explanations are short and to the point. So is his playing. Always véry interesting, néver boring! Tony is one of the bést! He deserves a raise in salary! Even better, he should be appointed factorydemonstrator!
Sir, I have watched a lot of RUclips videos (from blacksmithing, knifemaking, catholic, many various music related ones) and this video that you posted is top 3 of all time. What talent that God has blessed you with but the production quality of the video is exceptional. Have a great day!!!
I tried this today and loved it. It might be perfect for me because stroke froze my left arm and hand. I need to find out if it can record the chord changes my left hand would play and then layer melody my right hand would play. If it can it would be an "assistive device" for hand loss/disability.
Wow, you should give online lesson for this keyboard! You are a brilliant representative!
After this demo, I purchased the DGX670. This demo showed me exactly what I wanted to know about the keyboard before purchase. Being able to create my own arrangements via multi-tracks was most important and that together with being able to hook up a microphone, sign along with the beat, and record to the keyboard got me sold.
This is without a doubt the best démonstration of the phenominal DGX670 on YT by an extremely talented keyboardist and I thank you so much for the listening pleasure emparted to us thru this very clear and informative presentation.
Simply *A W E S O M E*
It reeeeeealy helps that not only are you *obviously* a fabulous pianist, you are also a great a keyboardist at the same time. More power to you, my good man. 👊
What an instrument! Kudos to you for all your informative videos!
Thanks and Bravo Bonners for that most awaited review.
Another brilliant demo. The quality and level of features is amazing for an instrument at this price point.
Top notch review!! Too many technical features on this piano to get into on a video, but this one really highlights the various sounds and features very well. Amazing, the depth this offers for the price, I think. Love your review style and playing. Thanks!!
It's so enjoyable to watch you play; so masterful. Thank you for the thorough review.
Excellent review! Thank you for posting this; it answered questions I had left unanswered after watching a half-dozen others before finding this one. This a great demonstration of features I was not aware of from information I have previously reviewed.
two months ago I bought it and it turned out that it was big enough to my small room.😀😀...best portable piano👍
Thank you for that, lol I was thinking about my small room 😂
It's so well done Tony... lovable by all means! Good to hear those notes from Aaron Copland's fanfare to the Common man played by you.
It's incredible how Yamaha responded to Roland's and Kawai's new products! They put a few things from Yamaha Genos, the CFX grand from the P-515, and the price of the P-125 -more or less-, and it all makes a splendid package. It makes an end-product you can't criticize!!
Another great demo and explanation of features from Tony. I just ordered a DGX 670 from Bonners, because they're simply the best music retailer in Europe!
I played it for less than 2 minutes and had to order it from Guitar Center. Hot selling item!
Is the best review I've ever seen on this model . Thank you .
What a great review! I just ordered one of these because I fell in love with it when playing it at a friends house. I just about lost it when you played the theme for "taxi". One of my favorite shows from back then.
Thank you Mr.Tony.Enjoyed it. You are awesome as always.
That was an amazing review Sir. I really enjoyed the detailed demo and review of the product. Your really gifted hope I can someday catch on and make rythms anywhere close to yours. Will definately will be browsing your library of content to learn more. Keep up the awesome work your doing. Can't wait to get the DGX 670 some day soon.
Incredible demo! Your playing was fantastic and had me dancing and singing haha!
Just bought mine yesterday! I love it
U give so much details of this DGX , this is the best intro of this DGX in RUclips
Thank u
I really like your demos. Thank you so much for this. It always depends on what you need. For me, this instrument again offers way too many possibilities, but it gives me what I'm looking for: good 88-key keyboard, good piano sounds for my taste, great Yamaha quality auto accompaniment. Besides saxophone and flute as a soloist, this will be my new accompaniment instrument for a singer after selling my PSR-S975.
Thank you for your demo! You were GREAT! As others have mentioned in the comment, you should be Yamaha's sales rep for DGX670. I am buying one!!!!!
Many thanks for the beautifully and simply made in depth review.
Excellent demo, Tony. Thank you!
Wow, you nailed it with the first notes of the concert guitar voice! It‘s like you were thinking like a Spanish guitar player!
And then casually dropping the intro to Queens „Who wants to live forever“. Dang!
I ordered this keyboard a few days ago. It should arrive very soon and I’m totally exited!
Mate, great review. Im in awe by your ability to play in a way that does each instrument justice. Im ok with piano playing but e.g. struggle to make a guitar sounds good on a keyboard. You are virtuoso.
He’s amazing.
Great video... you are very talented. I especially liked that you allowed the sounds to fade out naturally instead of cutting them off prematurely.
I found that I can connect my electric guitar into the microphone input and use the built in DSP to create sounds like you get from guitar pedals. I take my favorite midi files and play them while playing either lead or rhythm on the guitar. A lot of fun!
OUTSTANDING Demo......hope to see more on the DGX670 soon
Tony, great presentation. This seems like it would be inching into the home organ market with the likes of Lowrey, Wersi, Ringway etc. Quite a brilliant thing too at 1/10th to 1/50th of what those cost!!!!
Excellent demonstration!
Fantastic presentation, Yamaha must love you.
Absolutely brilliant demo Tony.....You've won me......Thank you ....I live in Australia down under.
Tony, a wonderful demonstration. Yes I also give you 5 stars or even more. Grateful to have found your vids as I am still waiting to receive my DGX670 which is unavailable another 3 months from now.
Thank you for a very thorough demonstration. I ordered my unit today (white with stand and pedals) and am looking forward with great anticipation to moving up from the Yamaha YPG-235 I've had for about eight years.
Brilliant presentation! Thx much! Rest in peace, Yamaha P-125! :)
Tony, awesome demo as ever, thank you.
I bought one yesterday. I’m so excited!
great review , exaustive and professional. Pretty accurate on all the features. ITA- anche in questo caso esaustiva ed un ottima recensione sul prodotto , ne ho ascoltate altre, la migliore, evidenzia sempre in modo semplice le piu importanti caratteristiche del prodotto.
Great demonstration ! ty for the nice full featured review !!
Thank you for the really nice demo!
Very nice demonstration, thanks for showing
Excellent presentation...really enjoyed it.
Not much I can add to all the kudos other than vehemently agree this is one of the best tech demos I’ve ever seen, regardless of product category. I am wavering between the DGX-670 and the Roland FP-E50 (there is a pretty good head-to-head comparison video on YT), but this demo may have clinched it for the Yamaha. Regardless of what I ultimately choose, we really are living in a no-lose competitive environment. All the major brands seem to be bringing the best features from their “pro” models into their mid-market products, and offering them at a killer price point. The “invisible hand” of free markets works its magic once again!
Which keyboard did you get finally? I just got the fpe50 and although I love it im actually thinking of switching to this model instead.
I have a Tyros 4 for gigs but need a keyboard to practice on at home. I've watched loads of video reviews on RUclips for the Dgx 670 and this is by far the best. Well done. Shame you (like most suppliers) are out of stock at the moment as you would have my order.
Great demo video!!!
Thank you that is just what im looking for..
Thank you i am waiting for mine to come . I will be replaying yr tape over and over for a while u are very helpful .this will be
Complicated to me for a while .
A very timely review as I am in the market to replace my old broken EP7. I would be interested to see a comparison with the Roland RD88 which is top of my list at the moment. The piano sounds of the DGX670 are fantastic however, I thought a lot of the other demonstrated sounds sounded very digital. Thanks for a great review! Always love hearing Tony play and without doubt THE best demonstrations on YT.
At this price point I've never heard a synth that sounds better. Admittedly the sax and trumpet are at times very synthetic, but all in all it's a great sounding instrument. I have one on order and look forward to finally being able to explore it myself.
@@JoeLinux2000 I personally like Yamaha's saxophone sonds and I think they are still usable in muic production as they are the
same samples used in Halion which is a VST instrument by Steinberg. To be honest saxophones are extreamly difficult to get
right on a keyboard so you learn to accept they will sound digitized no matter what. Although I have Halion I am hoping to go
hardware and maybe buy a used Tyros 5 or most likely a Yamaha PSR-SX900 which basically is the 61 key version of this as
I don't really have space for a piano style keyboard. The PSR-SX700 and SX900 also have a touch screen giving you better
realtime control over the organ flutes sounds although with the buttons you can also use the jog wheel to more instantly
change things but physical sliders might be better for the virtual organ drawbars.
Great demonstration! Enjoyed it very much!
First of all, I want to thank you for your ability to play. I truly enjoy listening to you play, and I wish I had studied piano a lot more when I was younger to be able to do a quarter of what you do now. What you do with arranger keyboards is amazing. I have a rather old Korg PA800, and it's getting long in tooth. I really wanted a PA4X-76, but I'm going to be waiting to see what the new PA5X 76 is going to be like, but I can't afford it right now. Heck, I can't afford a DGX-670 right now, either, but this instrument is a true step up from the previous DGX keyboards, and I wouldn't mind supplementing my PA800 with one of these. In the U.S., with the stand and three pedal assembly, less than $1,100, truly a good deal for what this keyboard is, and I would be more than willing to recommend it to anyone looking for an 88 key keyboard for beginning students.
This is the one I am looking for, it has almost all the features of the bigger and expensive Clavinova CVP series and it has the same Keys... Thanks for the review...
To be honest, modern CVP series got other keys.
Wonderful demo! Thank you
I just purchased this keyboard for my teaching studio. My students love it!!!
Thank you for this video! We got our DGX 670😄
So this is Yamaha’s newly updated product. I so it at the Guitar Center yesterday. I was so impressed. I have been looking for my next digital piano for a couple years while pandemic with my not so good digital baby grand. Music stores don’t have many choices but when I tried this DGX-670 I was sold. I was looking for the only one as close as possible to the acoustic piano. I didn’t need any other features like organ sounds or drum sounds etc. And this key action was not I expected but I couldn’t help but have to forgive it this one time. Checked all the YT reviews and decided I will get it today to end my journey for the one. I am very very beginner born again many times piano student , to me P-45 must be perfect but I like DGX-670 so much I am getting it. Usually when I Couldn’t decide which one I should take I would buy all of them but this one is superior to anything. I think.
You made a great choice.
The DGX has the same action as the P125. DGx 670 can be found for about $850 USD the P125 is $700. $150 difference gets you far more piano with the same action. Only reason to get the P125 over the DGX 670 is portability. If it’s for a student taking it to and from school the lighter weight is better as the P125 is a thinner lighthearted piano. If it’s for the home go with the DGX670.
@@1spartacus1337I have both p125 and dgx 670 the action is day night difference on p15 it’s heavy ass fuck and on dgx it’s perfectly smooth and I’m able to play very fast compare to p125, why are you advising people that’s it’s same action when it’s not
I think it’s important to demo the computer capabilities with a DAW. With the USB audio/midi using a DAW is a piece of cake and syncing a VST to the DGX is almost flawless.
When I was searching for info concerning the full USB function I found nothing on RUclips?
It’s probably a deal breaker for some who actually would use the board for midi but may think the implantation is not there. I found even the limited ADSR on the board can control parameters in most VST’s.
The DGX is more than a stand alone board.
Hi do you know if we can export the accompaniments as midi data to a DAW such as Cubase ?
Minimal Audio interface info even in the manual, though mentions it's 44.1 khz 16-bit, and that there's a feature to enable or disable loop back of computer audio output. :)
@@marcelcouture5373 yes, it can save and export ("backup") MIDI songs ("data") to a USB drive, which I believe you can then import into your DAW, though I'm not sure if you'll need to convert the MIDI to the MIDI-0 format, which is notably also playable on Player Pianos!
"You can record your performance as an audio file (WAV format - 44.1 kHz sample rate, 16-bit resolution,
stereo) directly to a USB flash drive. This instrument allows you to record up to 80 minutes per single
recording.
Sounds that can be recorded:
• All sounds produced by your performance (Main, Layer, Left, Song, Style)
• Microphone sound input from the [MIC INPUT] jack (page 77)
• Audio Input Sound from connected devices (page 95)
NOTE
• If you want to record each part separately, or edit the recorded data after saving, record the data as a MIDI Song (page 68).
• To record your keyboard performance and microphone sound separately, record your keyboard performance as a MIDI Song
(page 68), and then record the microphone sound by using the USB Audio Recorder function"
Top notch demo. I don't play piano or keyboard but I appreciate the music in general
I think you've sold me on this keyboard. I fell in love with keyboards in the 80s and was contemplating getting a P515.
Friendly voice. Details. Yes it is a perfect music machine. I will buy it.
Super thorough. Thank you

Excellent demo by the way!
That intro button is much improved!
Splendid!!! Bravissimo Tony. I have just get mine DGX670. It´s amazing. And I don´t need any Tyros anymore.
Well informative. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
Very nice demo Tony.
Received my new Dgx670 today. Have not opened the box! So excited I am scared.
Great Demo👍🏽
Excellent review and playing! Thanks for posting this video. I think that Yamaha has a winner with the DGX-670. Even though I already have a Casio PX560, I'm seriously considering getting one of these as a backup in case anything happens to the PX560. Plus, it just looks like it would be fun, and productive, to learn and experiment with the DGX-670. 👍
I'm trying to decide between the DGX-670 and the Casio PX560. Which one is better in your opinion?
@@musicmatters1114 I haven't got a DGX-670 yet. So can only comment on the PX560, which, because of money problems, I had to sell a while back. The answer to your question is that it depends somewhat on what you want to use your keyboard for. For me, it's making original (original for me at least) music, not necessarily for performing. All things considered, the PX560 is a fantastic keyboard for both performing and for original music production. If you can afford either the DGX-670 or the PX560, and you want a stage or performing keyboard, then I would recommend the PX560. Be aware that the keyboard action will take some getting used to. It will take some practice to get up to speed if your fingers aren't used to the fully weighted, hammer action. As for my situation, I eventually started back with a Yamaha ew425. Next one will be the DGX-670 because I'm just curious about it, and it has all the features I need. Then, hopefully in a year or so when my finances are better, I'm gonna get another new PX560 (or its upgrade in approx. the same price range, if that happens) because I really liked it.
Lovely keyboard...I bought one today from my local retailer for 799. So far I love it.
After watching this and many others over a period of 6 months I finally bought one 3 months ago and have barely scratched the surface. I have a tiger by the tail for the rest of my life.
Our hi-tech society also has much to highly master. I too would like to know more than the somewhat cryptic although precise manuals included outline.
Absolute amazing keyboard!! One of the best out there.
Perfect, thank you!
Just brilliant….. thank you ❤️
Thanks. Good presentation.
I wish there would be a comprehensive video or videos that Yamaha would do, showing how to fully utilize the expressions and articulations. Really, if they would show how the people who create those little "demos" which show what each instrument can do, it would be incredible and probably a first.
Super,super Demo !! 👍👍👍😀
Dude your incredible and the yamaha keyboard is sensational thank you so much awesome!!!!!!!
Just got it today, in love with it, thx for the recommend
Edit:it was the b series so it's a bit different
no better review out there - of this piano, and maybe of keys in general ? I'm not from the UK but will be coming back!
I plan on upgrading from my 660 when it's available in the US.
Just picked up my dgx670 today...big improvement over my previous 660.
I thought it was already available in the US. 🤔
@@keepingitrealandtruthful.5081 ..nope all the music stores stating pre order only.
That guitar lick at 8:05 🔥
Absolutely loved your demo. Could listen to you play all day. One question...when doing the BeBop style what did you
do to have that drum solo when you take your fingers off the keys?
I have the DGX 670 and thoroughly compared it with the PSR SX600. Also put it next to SX700 and SX900 in a store. After not having played piano and keyboard for 30 years, I leaned towards the DGX for the better digital piano features and 88 keys. I can really say the DGX is a great instrument. If you know keyboard/piano and music basics, the user interface is self explanatory, which I find quite an achievement, because historically you needed a manual next to you to get the most out of your instrument. The LCD-screen is great and buttons work faster than touch screen (so I don't miss that). The instrument feels high quality all around, for example the tactile buttons. An impressive job Yamaha really got right.
I read many worries about the speakers and 6w amplification, but because the speakers have large cavities where they sit in, the sound is very capable and of high quality. No worries there really. I did improve it for myself by adding a set of Yamaha HS-8 monitor speakers to it (already had these). In the menu, you can set that the onboard speakers and the headphones out line work at the same time. I blend volume of the onboard speakers and the HS-8 monitors 50/50 and that is an awesome and rich experience!
Things I like to see Yamaha do even better are: (1) get rid of the proprietary LP1-three pedal DIN-6-connector and replace with 3x 1/4 inch plugs. This way you can use 4 separate standard pedals or other switches. I did not want the LP-1 because I did not want the piano stand, but because of the connector, you can't go round the LP1. (2) Not including a line out at the back is not cool. (3) Give us 3 buttons for style intro and 3 buttons for style ending. It's a shame you have to go deep into settings to find the variations. (4) Midi to device is missing. (5) Add headphones jack in front AND keep in the rear.
Essentially, it would be awesome if Yamaha would remove the 'tension' between their DGX and PSR SX keyboards. What could be a great idea, is if they just take the SX 600 platform and make that in 2 variations (light portable 61-key keyboard and somewhat less portable 88-key digital piano). And then keep the foundation identical. Then do the same thing with the PSR SX700 and SX900, and improve the quality of the piano keys from GHS to GH3 as you go up the range.
I really wanted to have the best of both worlds of the SX600 and DGX 670 and would have paid a couple of 100 extra to get it.
Nevertheless, an awesome piece of kit. Can't go wrong with this one!
Yamaha should listen to people like you...
How did you connect 2 monitors to the single mic output, thanks
@@brianfish8269 The monitors are connected to the 1/4 inch "phones/output" connection, with split mono 1/4 inch connectors to each monitor (this is the input to the hs8's). Then I use the volume control on the monitor speakers to get it to balance nicely with the piano onboard speaker volume (this is a 1-time setting). From there on, volume of both monitors and onboard speakers are controlled simultaneously via the volume knob of the piano. Hope this helps!
@@bobzuidhoek9785 Hi Bob thanks for your quick and concise reply, much appreciated.
@@bobzuidhoek9785 you are the only person I've seen explain this in any of the videos online. I figured it wouldn't be that difficult and thanks to you, we know how to add additional speakers now! Thanks so much 👍😉
Fabulous demo as always...Love it!!
I forgot the name of the jazz pop piece you played at 14:17...(one of my faves). 🥰🌹💖
I love the piano and keybed on my P125. The speakers sound great also. Does the DGX670 have the same as P125 plus much more? Or did they make some cuts to make it more of a jack of all trades?
Dear Santa , all I want for Christmas is . . . . . . . .. Yamaha DGX670
I need this so bad!!!
Thanks, Tony...very entertaining and informative.
Tnx I got this keys and this is helpful really ✌️
One of the best demos I've heard on the DGX670. This keyboard is on my wish list to had to my stuff. I've been playing Yamaha portable keyboards for over 30 years. It bothers me that Yamaha doesn't solicit any input from musicians playing their keyboards. Helpful things to consider. A halfway decent speaker system that can handle at least 30 Watts. Why should you have to carry a PA to use this instrument for every gig. Also. If you are using an external PA it would be nice if you could shut off the onboard speakers. I accomplish this by plugging in a stereo headphone jack into the headphone jack to shut off the speakers. Why would you do this. When you play a dance and realize you blew your onboard speakers (like I have done). Yamaha has no process to get input for the players of their instruments. If you can pass this on to Yamaha Tony that would be great.
Outstanding detailed review. Totally professional. Thank You, Tony from Bonners. I have made my selection of Keyboard not a Roland FP 60X... but The Yamaha DGX 670.
Tony is the Best 👍👍👍💪💪💪
Amazing keyboard demonstration! Just wish you could help me master it Tony and play like you do!🤪🥴👏👏👌
Best video I've seen on this instrument! At the end of the video you said that to your knowledge you did not know of another keyboard that has weighted keys and so many other features. But what about the Casio PX-560? How would it compare? I am trying to decided which one to purchase.
