My Favorite Scene!
Its the small details that make this movie so great. As we learn, upon their first meeting, Gwen knew Miles was a spider-person, which is why she said "just relax" when he couldn't get his hand unstuck. She knew, from experience, what it was like when she first got her powers and was trying to tell him how to control them
Also when Miles says that he is new and that they have that in common and Gwen says “Yeah that is one thing” once could interpret that if saying that it is just one of the things, the other being that they are both spider people
I feel some of this was lost when they did ATSV. We had a long movie but none of this quirky bits, I loved them. That's why I still think ITSV is better. Let's see what BTSV has to offer.

@@seld2040 I mean, it couldn't have the same atmosphere. That would ruin their character development. Instead we had a deeper look into both their characters, especially Gwen, and the insecurities around them and their family (their dads and Miles' mom).
I think it's a dead giveaway aswell that Gwen even had the strength to tumble Miles like that after he'd just gotten his Spidey powers. If Gwen didn't have powers this scene would just be Miles standing there ragdolling Gwen by her hair, but because she's just as strong she actually holds her ground and even throws him to the floor.

0:04, I like how in this “comic-book come to life” universe, not only does Miles gain superpowers, but is given comic book elements like text blocks and thought bubbles he can hear and we are then shown an actual comic book with Miles on it. Like he’s been fully assimilated into the comic book world as a main character in his own story rather than being just some kid in Brooklyn.
It’s a nuanced take on a character discovering their powers.

Fun fact, at 0:14 seconds, we actually see Gwen in the background. Meaning that she ran to the other side of the hallway to set up the interaction. We know from the director's commentary that she intentionally bumped into him to see why her Spider sense was drawing her to him. As others have noticed, she may have guessed that he was a Spider Person. Very cool little details.

I actually got that she knew he was a spider person due to the entire hand stuck to her hair too, she tells him to relax meaning she knew this was the only way for him to control his spider powers.
The fact that Daniel Pemberton took the score which was originally used for a funny teen romcom esque scene and turned it into a fucking horror theme in ATSV is genius.

gwen said “just relax!” when miles was trying to get hid fingers unstuck, because she knew that in order to un-stick you needed to relax.
she also said “yeah, thats one thing.” indicating clearly there was more, both being spider-people.
and when she saw miles sticking to the building she was just like “okay..” because she could tell miles hadn’t gotten the hang of being spider-man yet, which she was weirded out about at the moment.
her spidey-sense went off about him but the animators didn’t add the tingle effects because it would spoil her being a spider-person too.
The single greatest represention of Spider-Man getting his powers on screen to date. I love how his whole persception of the world changes after the powers, he acts differently
