Let's Harvest Broccoli & Cauliflower together shall we

Yay finally getting some goodies from the back garden (aka shade garden) so join me as I show you how and what to harvest. So when is the perfect time?
When the buds are tight and right before they start to open up. After you let one go to seed/flower you'll know I mean. Check on them daily, they pop quick. Make sure to leave the broccoli plant after you harvest the main head, you'll get plenty of dippers!

We (Husband Justin and I) took one look at how broken our food system is and ran the other way! Can you relate? We currently raise about 80% of our own food. This includes all our veggies, most fruit and all of our meat.
I love being able to share how we do things, it doesn't mean it's right for everyone else but we are most comfortable in saying it's absolutely right for us. I'm hoping you'll be able to be inspired that it is possible for everyone to be more self sustainable, learn how to grow and raise your own food yet build community of like minded people who respect each others talents and learn from each other.
