It's frustrating trying to find something worthwhile at garage sales these days. Scalpers snatch up everything at ridiculously low prices, leaving real collectors with little chance. It seems like business is booming for them, while genuine enthusiasts are left hoping to stumble upon a fair deal.
Weird to blame others when you have every single resource to do the same. Maybe stop expecting handouts. Resellers, Spend alot of time on research to find deals. Stop being lazy and do the same.
I can agree, I hate seeing everything gobbled up asap. I sell and collect, but if I get things at unusually great prices I keep it especially if it’s something I actually collect. I got an original gameboy from a local thrift store for 32 dollars and a couple games. It stays in my collection, tho I could sell. Unlike one of the comments on your thread it isn’t as easy to just go out like they do and be the first people at garage sales etc, I barely have time to get out and yard sale being a full time dad/college student/employee

Your business is way to big to be relatable but even by doing this part time where free games for my collection are my profits I was able to pick up some advice from you. The main one is I changed how I present myself to people i buy from and to competition and now I'm not hiding that I resell stuff and that made the whole process way less stressfull

The item is really fragile, and only fits in atypical box sizes, so it costs much more to ship than you'd think, eating into potential profits.
