  • Spring and Summer craft fairs are just around the corner and it's time to start prepping for them! This little crochet boho wristlet is one of my top sellers year round, but it really shines at my vendor markets in the warmer months. People seem to love the size and the look of them. The best part is, they work up VERY quickly and use the most basic stitches!
I do use some pretty advanced joining techniques in this design. These techniques make the bag virtually seamless. Even the most experienced crocheters will struggle finding the seam on this project. If you are struggling or just a beginner, however, you can simply use a regular slip stitch. There's no need to get stressed out over this fun bag!
If you would like to check out the written pattern for this video, I do have a free version on my blog here: daysck.com/crochet-for-days/b...
You can also purchase the ad-free printable pdf for relatively little cost in my pattern shops.

For the tutorial to make the wristlet strap I show in this video, see: • Crochet Keychain Wallet
    Supplies Needed:
-100-110 yards of yarn of your choice for the bag body (I'm using Bernat Home Maker Dec yarn in the color Clay for this tutorial)
-25-30 yards of yarn of your choice for the bag band at the top (I'm using Bernat Home Maker Dec yarn in the color Cream for this tutorial)
-15-20 yards in the cotton yarn of your choice for the tassel (I do recommend using 100% cotton for the tassel! I'm using Peaches N' Cream in the color Ecru)
-Size 6.0 mm hook (or the size of choice if you choose to make it by the stitch multiples)
-5-inch piece of cardboard for the tassel (I just wrap my fingers)
    -40 mm wooden ring (optional)
    -14 mm wooden bead (optional)
-small lobster clasp for wristlet strap (optional)
-Hot glue gun and glue sticks
-9 x 7 inch zippered canvas bag in a cream color (NOT optional for this bag!)
    Gauge:
Not imperative since you can use stitch multples and simple math to make this bag any size using any hook and yarn.
    Finished Measurements:
My finished bag is approx. 9 x 7 inches, as that is the size of the canvas bag I am using to line the inside of it.

Hi Dana. Great tutorial. I have never used the Bernat Home Dec yarn. But the more I see you use it, the more I think I need to try it. 😂 I have seen other tutorials using these canvas bags. I definitely like this one the best. The others I’ve seen use acrylic yarn and I find that flimsy (although I get stash busting projects). Sometimes I feel as if I will never get around to making everything I want to make. But I am definitely adding this one to my ridiculously long list! 🤣 For as much as I’ve made in 2023, my list continues to grow. And on top of that, my mother, who will be 81 in March, asked me to re-teach her crochet. And she is going like gang busters! She finally found her tension and rhythm and is making colorful granny rectangles to join into a lap blanket. I’m just so proud of her. Thanks for another great tutorial and project. Take care and look forward to the next! 💖

Thank you! I'm so glad you like the tutorial ❤️ And yes! Bernat Home Maker is my favorite yarn! I wish they had more colors to choose from. Amazon has started carrying similar yarn and I have been wanting to try it. If you decide to try them, pay attention to yardage. They can trick you there. Happy hooking! ☺️

This is a beautiful bag and the tutorial is so easy to follow … I made some makeup bags and tried to line them and it was all screwed up but the canvas bag is a great idea for lining 🎉🎉

Thank you! I agree, the canvas bag liner is the best solution if you aren't much of a sewer (I am definitely not lol)☺️
