Love this bag, thank you for the clear precise instructions.I’m going to make this and other of your bags for a group of friends. Each will get a different one! Many thanks👋❤️👋
Hello this is a really pretty bag and I want to make it but I dont have any bulky yarn. Would it be the same with double worsted yarn (using two strands of yarn together)? Do you think it would still be durable that way?
This is super bulky weight yarn, so it would be triple strands of worsted weight yarn. As far as durability goes, it probably would make it slightly more flimsy, but I’m not 100% sure, as I’ve not made one with tripled strands of ww yarn. You could always add some iron-on fabric stabilizer to the inside of the bag to make it stiffer and hold its shape before you add the lining. Just be careful not to melt the yarn.
I’ve always read that two strands of worsted (4) held together make a super bulky (6) weight, no? All things ultimately depend on the yarns used though 🤍
@@giovannazofia6386 it’s my understanding that double strands of ww yarn are equivalent to a size 5 bulky weight yarn. I could be wrong but it has held true for me personally
@@DaysCrochet Thank you for the advice! I think I will eventually get some super bulky yarn just to be safe. Your help is much appreciated! Beautiful bag btw
