I Didn’t know what headset would be best to replace the ones I use for working from home which are a pretty basic plantronics that were provided by the job but after listening to your video the D722U sounded the most clear when speaking and the noise cancellation seems great since I’m near the front door of the house and have small dogs, placed my order after this video! Can’t wait to get my D722U pair! *** forgot to mention I can’t use Bluetooth headsets so this was the perfect video! ***

Hey Jevon! That’s great to hear this video helped you. When the headset arrives, two tips. 1. Mic position and 2. Mic volume is very important. Feel free to contact our service team to test it and and go through any adjustments if needed.

I'm sorry, but earcups that only rotate 90 degrees in the outward direction isn't a minor issue. The human ear doesn't project at a 90 degree angle, it is actually slightly forward facing, meaning 90 degree rotating earpieces put excess stress on the rear portion of the ear. Had the jabras been able to rotate farther (say 100 degrees), the padding may have been sufficiently comfortable since the pressure would be more evenly distributed across the width of your ear.

Actually, when working from home you might want to have "transparent" headset that lets you hear when a kid or a pet requires your attention, or maybe someone is at your door - you don't want to miss a postman bringing you some important documents to sign. At the same time, you don't want to transmit those noises through your microphone.
I wanted also to see Sennheiser SC 160 included - seems a great alternative to Jabra 40 and Plantronics/Poly C5220 but not sure about comfort - which are the best ones to wear all day long and still hear what's going on around you.

It’s personal preference, of course, but I prefer a flat eq for voice, not headphones with ‘good bass’. For example, my current set-up involves an old pair of studio monitor headphones and the mic in my MacBook (not ideal, I know, hoping to soon upgrade to usb mic - I’m watching this video as research into quality headsets as an alternative solution). When listening to a colleague’s presentation, and not expecting to contribute, I listen through studio monitor speakers, again with a flat eq. Point being, these solution are easy on the ear, flattening out droning bass hum or random voice squeaks! Thanks for the insight 👍

Thanks for this video. Why you decided to go with the old Evolve 40 over the new Evolve2 40?
Also, think you forgot to test the 8225 in the mic noise cancellation test. The 8225 has the Acoustic Fence feature, while the 5220 does not. So mic quality is not (or should not be) the same quality. Nevertheless, still useful vid. Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback Rob! Many customers requested the Evolve 40 mic test as it's still widely used. We will add to the list the Evolve2 40 and the 8225 in the future. The Acoustic Fence name is cool, but from our experience most professional quality headsets with a noise canceling mic are very similar. The main way we've seen noise to be mainly blocked out is using a headset with a noise canceling mic, paired with noise reducing technology like Krisp.ai
