    The “threading” method has been around a long time. Gervaise Markham talked about it in 1634.

    If you grab the arrow by the nock to start with then you just have to thread it through the bow and draw or, as I prefer, place it on the right side and draw which makes it even faster.

      It's from Bickerstaffe Bows, they sell various English longbows.

    It's even easier if you thread the arrow between the bow and string. Then you don't have to worry about dropping your arrow.

    not fast enough. Saracen archery technique (re-popularized by Lars Andersen) can shot arrows 3 times under 2 seconds., and 11 arrows on the air until 1st arrow hit the ground.

    • @MedievalGenie
      @MedievalGenie  6 лет назад +2

      With Lars Anderson, he had to use very low draw weight bows and the guy's video was widely discredited anyway.
      Mine may not be the absolute fastest technique, but it works with pretty much all bows.

      @@mbahismu4156 you're just as bad, if not worst than the people who hate on Lars. Here you are, linking a video to Lars having to respond to critics when you start off the discussion with "not fast enough". This guy isn't Lars. Lars does not use a 100+ lbs warbow (which he even says in your damn video). At the beginning of the video he even explains that this is *his* method, and there are others out there. People like you are the ones that make Lars look bad
