Shane and Sean - having a blast in the heat of the Australian Summer. Gold and bees all around. Fun times, for sure. Thanks Shane for sharing and Sean for hosting this beautiful trip. More, more, more... Chuck I NE Kansas
I saw his version of this day a few days ago and was waiting for you to upload yours..lol. Amazing that the gold is just sitting on the exposed bedrock like that. Makes you wanna check the exposed bedrock at home more closely. I bet you wish you had a gold monster detector, they are crazy. Thanks for sharing the adventure with Busted Knuckles.
Always good to see a demo of the detection range of a machine. My Fisher F2 surprised me by picking up a microscopic fragment of tin foil at 8" on the beach. The first thing I found with it was (still suspected to be genuine) 52 diamond/white sapphire gold bangle I 'teaspoon excavated' from under a 100yr old tree's roots. I'm in the UK so I reported my find to NCMD who were utterly disinterested, so I still have it. Well hidden : ) It shows what an inexpensive detector can achieve. The F2 is a $250 Low Freq gold finder.
@@Klesh I think it's genuine; the stones sparkle like fire, they're size matched & have inclusions (fake stones don't & are invariably "too perfect") They scratch lines into jamjar glass & ring positive on a diamond detector, but a local gemologist claimed them to be Not Genuine. The funny thing was - that same week I spotted a tiny stone in the bag packing area of a supermarket. Picked it up thinking it's undoubtedly a fake...but according to the diamond tester it was tiny but genuine! - then as I walked around I came across 1....2........34567+ large plastic 'diamonds' spilled on the pavement. It was a wierd diamondy week that one for sure.
