The way this is converted to audio files works fine, but there's an alternative way to do it that, IMO, is much faster. Rather than creating all those Output busses and then doing all that routing, you can do an Audio Mixdown and export multiple channels and then select the VST instrument tracks directly. It will bounce all them down into individual files which you can import and Cubase will automatically create audio tracks for them.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. With your help I finally got the GGD P4 kit to output sound of different drums to different outputs. I've tried to get that for hours now... somehow Mishas video was too fast for me (I guess). This video really helped me understand the routing, thank you dude. I have a issue though, I get that problem with the cymbals tracks all routing to just hats, and whenever I change them they all change to whatever I select.
Riffa22 hey man! First of all thanks for watching. That multiple selection issue is a giant PITA! As far as I’ve found there’s no 100% way to avoid it. What you have to sow when it pops up, basically, is that you’ll notice all the cymbal tracks are “highlighted”. You have to click around the bottom/sides of any one of the tracks (around where the channel drop down is) until only that single track is “highlighted” then it’ll let you route individually after that
@@KrzychoStal NO NO, Thank YOU! lol seriously though thank you so much, this really had me scratching my head for a while there lol so its almost like there is this weird hidden "link"setting for the routing. Hopefully they'll be able to patch it
I'm not sure which version of Kontakt you have but I think 5.0 and previous you have to manually select the one that has 16 stereo outs. So for example when you look to add a rack VST instrument you'll see "Kontakt 5, Kontakt 5 8out, Kontakt 5 16out". The first option (Kontakt 5) has only 4 stereo outs.
Followed this step for step and I'm not getting any audio from Modern & Massive into Cubase. I can see the audio on the Kontakt channel strips, but nothing is going into Cubase from there
This is really weird, but for some reason, when I download the template, the cymbals don't play. Also, I am getting a ton of "MISSING FILES" that I've pointed to the Audio files folder, but it doesnt resolve anything. Any idea? THANKS
Hey thanks for making this tutorial. My qurstion is, why when i routing on my cymbal is only 1 mic available? Just like fx only going to hats mic. All cymbals going to hats mic
I’m definitely going to have to try this. My question is, when you set up everything routed to different tracks, can you still write drum parts from the drum editor using all drums/cymbals from the library from the same screen?
@@KrzychoStal One other quick question. Does this help with writing drums in the drum editor and using groove packs on the same track? I can't seem to make this work where I write a few parts and then import a groove pack for one section of a song.
